Title: 12/28 Game Reviews
Description: Favorite Games

vizigothe - December 29, 2005 12:28 AM (GMT)
There have been absolutly zero games that have engaged me or that I have been interested in. So I have been playing M:TW and I started playing WoW again although that has been limited.

So what are your favorite games, Im talkign about the ones you always go back to when there are no games out there to play?

Mine is Starcraft for a RTS
The game is classic, fast paced and when Brood War came out almsot as perfectly balanced as a RTS could be. The game brought me many great times and I do miss playing it greatly.

Another is Chrono Trigger for the SNES
A classic as well. Engaging story, phenomenal battle system and for the most part was devoid of heros you never wanted to use like most RPGs. It was a little bit short but damn it was fun.

Gotta love the paradox series, EUII, HoI 2, Vicky, all 3 of them keep on drawing me back in, doesn't matter what other games are there, those 3 will keep me busy for a good month setting history right.

War Craft 3, or even Starcraft If I'm feeling really happy, for the pc, and ff VII for the playstation

My favorite RTS that got me into the genre was Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds. And before you say anything, keep in mind I am merely 14, when it came out I was like 9 or 10, so it was not complicated, but was fun. :D

Two of the best games of all time are Total Annihilation (a strategy game along the same lines as Starcraft. In fact, I think there is a new one in the works! My brother said something about it.) and Civil War Generals 2, a hex-based strategy. I still play both of them, actually, and TA was one of the first games I played, I think.

There is a new TA game coming out PC. I saw a preview on it in PC Gamer. It looks pretty cool.

My favorite games, hmm...in no particular order:

Goldeneye
AoE II
Star Trek Armada I&II
Star Trek Klingon Academy (No other game makes cap ship battles so damn cool)
MTW
Wolfenstein ET (Amazing free online FPS)
Nicci's Erotic Adv...uh...

I didn't have the right system, so I could only play that at a friends house. That game is classic!

Old shcool shooters-
Golden eye, Perfect Dark.
Another old shcool game, sorta- Battle Tanks for the n64.
New(er)games-
Arcanum(In desprate need of a sequel), Total Annihilation(Great game, also deserves a sequel), MTW, Vicky(about to install vicky, actually.) EU2, Grand theft auto, Star wars battlefront, Halo, Ace Combat(Shattered skies is theo nly one I've played), and let none of us forget, Syphon Filter !(The originals, which are more older, but oh well).
Also, for older PC games, L'emperuer and Romance of the three kingdoms(2,3,4). Great games. As is Frontlines and... okay, I will stop now.

Just purchased the "Limited edition" of Resident Evil 4 for the PS2
Truly terrifying...Even on easy mode I keep getting killed.
Love the new camera perspectives though!None of that old fixed camera nonsense that used to confuse you !Does make it marginally easier!
Constant atmosphere of dread and forboding. It works really well! :o

I hear they were coming out with a "George A Romero's City of the Dead"

that would be right up our alley BL!

Today I was just reminded of a really great Playstation game: Army Man 3D. That game was a ton of fun, plus it was challenging. I'd say that game is probably my all time favorite for Playstation. Sadly, it seems the company (3DO) must have bellied up, as I can find no information on it. I know they made another one, although it sucked. (and I think it was for a different platform)

Stronghold Crusader always keeps me coming back, as well as Fable.

Does anyone play America's Army here? Best FPS EVER! (And its also free. So get on and play.)
