Well, I should probably take the opportunity to say that I will be on holiday for 2 weeks as well in sunny Spain.

Firstly, have a good time to those going on vacations.

Secondly, I'm going to the hill country this coming thursday through Sunday I think.

My turn, I'm going to be gone for a few days because I'm going back to college. After that there will be more of me (for good or bad:)) and I'll finally try to get the skinning of the site done!

My access is going to be reduced for most of next week, but I should be able to pop by every now and then.

EDIT: This is becoming the official holidays/vacations/absences thread, so we can keep up on everything.

I am back, also! I spent the last two weeks in friendly and cheap Aruba. It's a beautiful place with great people whose sole industry - tourism - has been hurt by our news media.

We spent a couple of extra days there, to allow Katrina to go on her way to Maine. I used the time to get away from the beaches and see the interior which is classified as desert terrain. Except for the sound of the waves, you would swear that you were in the Sahara.

Anyway, I'm glad to be back with all of you, and I'll dig into what's been going on here since I was away, starting tomorrow.

I'm not sure what you mean about the whole deal. However, I'm always looking for bargains, when vacation time comes around, and Aruba's tourism industry is dropping prices like crazy to keep people coming. Yes, I did plan the trip after the Natalee Holloway thing.

However, I didn't plan for Katrina. The storm affected weather on Aruba for a couple of days, mostly an increase of wind and showers.

The weirdest thing that has happened since I came back is the puzzled reaction to a idea that I had, by a member of the Homeland Security department. It seems that several of us with certain ... ahem ... "skills" were willing to go into New Orleans and take out the gunmen there. Not much different than Fallujah, except that the enemy isn't as good. The poor fellow was stunned.

Quite frankly, we are all disgusted by the slow introduction of security into the city, and were willing to get deputized by the Sheriff's Department, down there, and introduce a very heavy security "risk" to the thugs. However, I don't think the fellow grasped the concept very well.

That would be what I meant. ;) I find the whole thing rather tiresome myself.

I will be gone for two weeks, maybe more from this Friday onwards.

I've been gone, as I guess most people know because of this Christm...I mean, Winter Break! I don't know when I will be active again. I've got a lot of personal stuff to deal with right now and in the future. PEACE!
