Title: Scenes of Our World
Description: post pictures of our beautiful planet!

Lord Rahl - June 8, 2005 03:32 AM (GMT)
Here is a topic where we can all post images of where we live and places we have been! Try to keep your photos with emphasis on scenery or landmarks instead of YOU blocking the Sistine Chapel. If they are huge pictures then just attach a file instead of putting up a massive picture that will make everyone pay.

I will post first. Here is a very large photo of a rainbow that recently sprang up above our house. The picture was taken below the side of the mountain where our house is. That's Potter Creek in the foreground. I now present, The Glory of God!

Here is another photo with the northern lights from around the same view as the previous picture.

The rain coming (look to the right) in some random area of the Pacific. Probably the Phillipine Sea, since its so calm.

Nice shot MBM! I have a lot of pictures of the Cook Inlet that goes into the Pacific Ocean, so I'll post a picture. Here is, The God Spot. It was taken from our back porch. I'll start posting pictures of Hawaii and other vaction spots later on.

Wow that shot is awesome! Reminds me of the 'godse.cx' picture though...

Denali in it's glory!

And remember that those 'foothills' under Denali are still over 8,000 feet!

Lord Rahl - June 24, 2005 01:51 AM (GMT)

Really? I don't believe it but ok. Looks too blue if ya ask me.

Here is the Bow Glacier, Lake, and Falls in Canada. About a 3 and a half hour drive from Calgary. Enjoy the serenity!

Lord Rahl - July 14, 2005 02:32 AM (GMT)
Some pictures from our trips with our company. WARNING: Images may be too beautiful to believe

Picture from the glacier/wildlife cruise we took. The ocean was as as smooth as glass.

Man, there are just too many I want to send!

Looks like the last ship from the Grey Havens ...

Lord Rahl - July 15, 2005 01:22 AM (GMT)
Hah! Yeah it does except it's just some corrupted humans in their pleasure boat. :)

Here is a humpback whale diving. They were lunge feeding for a bit too.

British Lion - July 16, 2005 11:59 PM (GMT)
What beautiful pictures!
I wish I had some of Alderley Edge and the Cheshire plain to show you,a truly magical place!
When I suss it out .I'll post some here! ;)

Lord Rahl - July 17, 2005 09:48 AM (GMT)
The glacier we saw. Just guess how long that boat is and then tell me how big you think the glacier is! We saw some ice fall in the water and it made a HUGE wave like a mini tsunami. The park ranger said it was the biggest she had ever seen!

Lord Rahl - July 17, 2005 09:51 AM (GMT)
Another glacier picture. Later on I'll post a picture of the biggest penis, that's right, PENIS, you have and will ever see.

With this picture, imagine the boat in it. Now you can kind of see exactly how big the wave was!

Lord Rahl - July 17, 2005 09:57 AM (GMT)
And if you don't have that good of an imagination, here is an edited image...

Lord Rahl - August 1, 2005 11:07 PM (GMT)
And now ladies and gentlemen, the largest penis I have ever seen! I estimate over 5' 6" long and 10"-12" wide.

Lord Rahl - January 28, 2006 10:38 AM (GMT)
If anyone wanted to know what sunsets look like from the house in AK.

Lord Rahl - January 28, 2006 10:39 AM (GMT)
Another,

Lord Rahl - January 28, 2006 10:41 AM (GMT)
And who knew jet trails look so cool?

I've got more pics if you guys want to see more.

Peachy Carnehan - January 28, 2006 02:29 PM (GMT)
Is that a river in those pics? Those are nice.

Lord Rahl - January 29, 2006 01:02 AM (GMT)
Nope. Not a river but the Cook Inlet. Captain Cook thought he had found the passage from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific but what he found were just huge ass glaciers in front of him.

I wish I had better pictures, but I dont. This beach is on the island of Saipan, and...well...lets just say that I didnt want to leave. Ever. It was absolutely perfect. I dont know how to describe it accurately, but I REALLY didnt want to leave.

Imageshack wont let me DL the pictures I have of the hike down there ( ), but here are some from the beach itself:

The beach from the above pictures is on the right side, around that outcropping of rock. The..er...area...is called Bird Island (the beach itself is Shell Beach, IIRC), if you feel like looking it up on the net. Its a small hike down a crappy little trail in the jungle (after you actually find the trail about a quarter mile off the nearest paved road), but its definately worth it. If you ever get a chance, GO....and send me pictures. I miss it. :(

Its hard to belive that men actully fought and died over that ground 60 years ago, it looks so peaceful.

Yes, it is.

I went down to the Banzai Cliff and took some pictures. Here's one of one of the many memorials there. You can see Suicide Cliff in the background, another spot where Japanese civilians threw themselves off to avoid capture. At the base of that cliff, there are old Japanese bunkers, another memorial, etc.

This is the actual spot (Banzai Cliff) where they jumped, across a little parking lot from that memorial.

Ten points if you guess where that is.

If you cant guess where it is, it is Waterloo.
