Our Beautiful Minds Guidelines

Discussion and chat area rules:

1) Be civil and considerate.

2) Be tolerant of another's views and life situation.

3) Feel free to speak your mind. So long as the post complies with the rules, all opinions are welcome.

4) The chat room is available 24/7 for member use. Occasionally, scheduled or special chats may be conducted. Please abide by the chat leader's guidelines in those special chats. Please note that the chat room is unmoderated. Each member is responsible for his own conduct.

5) Members are required to read and comply with the InvisionFree Board Terms of Use which are available here and via the Terms of Use link at the bottom of the main board. Keep in mind that, among other things, the InvisionFree Board Terms of Use prohibit members from posting messages, links, or any other content that:

a) Breaks any local, state, county, national or international law.
b) Infringes upon any rights (including, but not limited to, copyrights and trademarks);
c) Abusive, threatening, defamatory, racist, or obscene material;
d) Viruses or any other harmful computer software;
e) False Information or libel;
f) Spam, chain letters, or Pyramid schemes;
g) Gambling or Illicit drugs;
h) Terrorism;
i) Hacking or cheating for internet / online games;
j) Warez, Roms, CD-Keys, Cracks, Passwords, or Serial Numbers;
k) Pornography, nudity, or sexual material of any kind;
l) Excessive profanity;
m) Invasive of privacy or impersonation of any person/entity;
n) Hacking materials or information.

6) Posts may be altered or removed for any reason already mentioned or for the following reasons:

- Repeated posting of the same or very similar material (spamming)
- Posts that appear to exist primarily to goad people into an angry response (flaming-baiting)
- Posts that appear to exist primarily to recruit members for political or financial gain, or for religious conversion(proselytising). Included are attempts to sell products or services.
- Posts that have no content beyond the subject line.
- Repeated posts not intended for discussion (flooding)

7) Post removal and alteration policy:

On occasion, administrators or moderators may need to remove or alter a post to assure compliance with the rules. Whenever practicable and appropriate, moderators and administrators will use the least-intrusive approach to addressing violations, in the following order: Ask the member to self-edit the post; Alter the post to remove non-compliant material; Remove the post.

A member may request removal of their post. However a post will not be removed if it has started an active thread or it's removal otherwise disrupts the forum. The exception would be if it breaks a rule. a member may request editing of their post also, under the same conditions.

Excessive, abusive, or unjust moderating will not be tolerated. Members should feel free to express their concerns and opinions about site policy and/or administrative actions. Administrators and moderators will address all such concerns in a timely and democratic manner.

8) Only one membership is allowed per-person. Anyone found using more than one membership will be asked to immediately surrender all but one of them. If the member is unavailable to choose, or refuses to choose, the administrators will keep the person's first registered membership and suspend all the rest.

9) Members should note that administrators are able to read any email sent through the board. This is meant to help prevent use of the board for email spamming. Administrators will not read these email logs except when complaints are made against the sender.

Also note that PMs truly are private here. Unlike the full paid Invision boards, the InvisionFree boards do not provide an option for administrators to read members' PMs. However, the InvisionFree staff may, at a future time, include the ability for members to "report" another's PM if it is offensive.
