Amidst this thoroughly depressing summer I am putting together an Action Plan for game management in the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs AONB. Out of that piece of work came lots of suggestions from keepers and land owners as to what might be done if we can get together for some concerted action. One thing I would really like to get an idea about is the prices paid for deer stalking.
1. what is the range of rates that one can expect to pay for roe and fallow stalking?
2. how do deer managers and stalkers assess trophy fees and what are the prices for different trophy sizes?
