Please excuse my ignorance but I assume that the live trap fox a cage does exactly what it says on the tin and captures a fox live. If this is the case what do you do with the captured fox, do you relocate or humanely dispatch it?

Snares need to be checked every 24 hours by law, what is the law governing the checking of live capture cages?
I would suggest that the snaring of a fox is a cruel act, having read a little bit about the subject I am aware that present legislation dictates that only a certain type of snare may be used.
A self-locking snare has long since been banned, the new type snare is meant to keep hold of the fox pending the arrival of the hunter. This is fine when the hunter is a true professional and a conscientious individual who will check his snares daily but not so good if the fox is snared up by a not so conscientious individual.
