Hi all, I am new to the forum and I am straight in there with a question.
I am hoping that someone on here might be able to help me out. I have just got involved with an estate where I have taken over one of the beats. I am very pleased about this as I have not been involved in the shooting seen for quite awhile.
I was talking to one of the other members of the shoot and we were talking about dogs and I mentioned that I used to train and sell springers (on a very small scale) when I was keeping. I only ever sold dogs on that I had bought. Now he asked me if I would finish his young springer off for him. I said that I would but I need to come up with a weekly price. Do any of you know what the going rate is? Like I say I have been out of it for a while and things change. I know what I would have charged years ago but now…………..??????????

Just been looking through some trainers adverts and the going rate seems to be £90 - £100 a WEEK ! This is for residential training and can take upto 6 months and includes "training the owner" as well at the end. I your dog is local and will be transported to you on training days you will have to work out some sort pro rata fee.

Hi wy111,
The dog is be staying with me as I dont really do owner training on a weekly basis. Hard work and in this case the owner spesifically asked for it to come to me. It will be much quicker.
Thanks for giving me an idea on price. I should think about half that will do me but I will have to work it out.
