Wanted: deer stalking land/lease southern central Scotland.
As above, I am looking for some deer stalking within reasonable striking distance of the area Biggar/Lanark/Peebles. Because I still work I prefer to be crepuscular in my stalking activities (i.e. before or after work). I would prefer to concentrate on, and get to know, a piece of land/wood, rather than days here and there. Preference would be for Roe (all year round stalking, and I can carry a carcass without injuring myself). I like to eat what I shoot, so look to retain carcass. Willing to pay a price commensurate with quality of the shooting, but am not looking to supply the local supermarket, only wanting sufficient beasts to meet own domestic requirements. Willing to share, and contribute to vermin control and other maintenance.
