happykeeper - April 8, 2006 04:58 PM (GMT)
A colleague of mine has acquired some Mark 4 traps that have just come on the market and they are rubbish so be warned . If you think its to much of a bargain it most properly is.

What about the names of supplier/distributor? Then we can all avoid them. I hope that you have made your complaints to the supplier.

When i can find out more information i will post it but i'm also aware that i don't want to be accused of slander.

Rubbish equipment is rubbish equipment, whichever way you look at it. If you find you have "Problems" with something, or, "Allegedly" reported as faulty, I don't see where slander comes into it.
Around here, a spade is a spade, not a shovel and if we find suppliers of any duff gear(Whatever it may be), everyone gets to know.

There is a guy on The Hunting Life selling some, they don't have anything stamped on the plates apparently. Both Fenn and Springer stamp their plates.

I got 24 traps from a good source. No stamping at all, on the plates or anywhere. They have a brass set for the trigger (not the steel, which seem to rust and not release unless you nearly have to stamp on them), and work perfectly. They may be a bit sensitve to set, but last two checks, I've had also, a couple of mice, nearly cut in half.
Although these aren't Fenn or Springer, I think they are just as good or even slightly better.
I don't know the problems that HK was relating to, but I've no complaints about these!!!!!!!!!!
