We had someone shooting once that had just come back from south america dove and duck shooting.
He said it was very cheap to go and stay but ammunition prices took the costs up to high but worth it in his opinion.
I recall hiom saying that a guide put some decoys out in front of a blind for him as a tractor came along ploughing for the rice plants- upon asking whether they needed to move the decoys for the tractors return was told it would be at least a day before the the reun went by!! Big field. Duck are a pest and shot as such out there.
Doves- he took an American/Japanese Browning gun as he was told he would shoot the barrels out of an English gun at the doves. All the photos were there to see.
Problems of fatigue and headaches were most common- food and drink and rest between 'drives' was the norm.
Onec in a life times experience by all accounts!
