Title: half-human/ half-guyver?
Teknoguyver - January 26, 2007 09:59 PM (GMT)
Anyone interested in playing an RPG where your powers come from the fact that you injected with the guyver organism?
Kaiser Dragoon - January 26, 2007 11:20 PM (GMT)
Sounds like an interesting idea.

The following gives a little more detail and background on the RPG.
In this AU world, chronos found only two Unit-Gs in the relic and the CM of both units was damaged. One of the damaged unit was activated(sp) and experimented on. Chronos managed to found out about most of the guyvers weapons before the unit went rogue and ate it's host leaving behind nothing but goo.
After this event safety protocols were put into effect to prevent the activation of the last unit. Chronos began to cut off sections of the unit for study. After a few months it was proposed that it might be possible to "grow" a living unit if the internal tissue of the unit was injected into a host during processing. After several test it was found that children under the age of 5 out lived the rest of the test subjects due to their untapped spring of bio-energy.
Unknown to chronos, the cut part unit began a self destruction count down as per a deep root program to safe guard advent technology.
At this time 3 different events are taking place: 1) Everyone's favorite proto-zoalord has been smuggled in by everyones favorite team of rebels, 2) Two well known zoalords have engaged in combat at the center of relics point. and 3) A member of chronos can no longer stand to subject children to the processing tanks and under cover of the chaos from the battling zoalords smuggles as many as he can out of the base.
The unit blows like a nuke and combined with the black hole attack destroys 85% of relics point. Alkanphel reappears and kills Gyro(sp) and then subdues Murakami as he covers the escape of the rebels.
The children are split up sent to different homes spread around the world and put on a drug that erase thier memory.

Well now that we have a bit more background, it definitely looks like an interesting idea for a game. As I do not see much life from the games I was hoping to get involved in, perhaps I'll give this one a shot.
Do you have a timeframe of when the players will actually be introduced or are we playing young children?
Teknoguyver - January 30, 2007 01:53 AM (GMT)
the game would take place about 11-12 years after x-day. everyone will start off at the same level of power, however your chosen starting weapon will be up to the player. for the first part of the RPG the players will "unknownly" be drawn to each. no player is in the same place as another starting off. no player just suddenly has powers. the power slowly becomes more and more active over time. it can be a steady increase in run speed during track meets at first thought to be due to your taining. a sudden feelings of weightlessness or the fact that you seem to hang in the air a few seconds to long when jumping.
i'm going to try an Exp system with this game. the system being that for every 5 posts you get one "tick" when you get 5 ticks you can chose a new power that no one else has or upgrade a power you already have.
I with hold the right to change the number of ticks it takes to lvl if people start lvling to fast or to slow. if such changes are made then everyone gets bumbed to the highest player lvl made.

If life is what your looking for, Arkham.. best to avoid tekky's rp's.
He has a turnover rate higher than ah.. well.. pretend I had a good metaphore and leave it at that.
He's got alot of great ideas, but his followthrough oftain lacks.
Maybe this one will be differant though.. looks like fun.
Teknoguyver - January 30, 2007 04:35 AM (GMT)
way to kills things before they begin blood, even if it is true to a point. As i may recall my last two died due to lack of posting rather then me jumping ship to a new RPG.
but thanks for the complament about my ideas. i admit some have been good while others have been lame. but i do have more back ground and information on this one then i did for the others.

I am just noticing lately that what games I do have an interest in either do not get off the spring board or just die off. Speaking of which Blood, weren't you supposed to inject some life back into Legacy of Wispers? **hint hint** ;>
But as for Tekno, I am willing to give him a shot with this one. Don't let me down now....we Canadians can be frightening when we're disappointed (it just takes a lot to get us to that point). :war:
Teknoguyver - January 30, 2007 06:49 PM (GMT)
thanks for the vote zoa.
heres a little more information on the game. everyone starts off with a power lvl 10 times a normal human plus their start off power. on a side note powers awaken faster then I stated before but they still don't just appear.

*bump*
This RPG idea is not dead. I'm still working on some things.
Zoalord Arkham - February 28, 2007 10:25 PM (GMT)
Just give me a shout when you are ready with character creation material and perhaps we can get a few more interested peeps. I have a couple of things that just plopped onto my plate at the moment so no rush on my part.
Teknoguyver - March 1, 2007 10:12 PM (GMT)
I've had a thought about some things that i might add to this and am trying to get it worked out.
Paladin - March 2, 2007 03:21 AM (GMT)
like the idea. we shall eagerly await the gunshot for this race to go off.
Teknoguyver - March 20, 2007 08:35 PM (GMT)
things in real life are looking up. RL, school, and work were kicking my ass along with a few games on another site. As of the end of this week things are starting to cool off so sometime next week I should have a draft up and ready.

Well MG is us with units, this is a bit different.
Overall the ideas actually a pretty good, it would be nice to see this one flourish if you post it up.

Sparky's right.
In mad Guyvers we are full units... or really really powerful zoanoids.
What I understand of Teknoguyver's idea is the players would be the children/decendants of guyvers and not actual guyvers themselves
Gall_4185 - April 19, 2007 02:05 PM (GMT)
so more like Omega's "Liberi Fatali" fan-fic then?
Sith Guyver - April 19, 2007 07:24 PM (GMT)
*eye's Mad Guyvers part two*
same idea in practice there too
Teknoguyver - April 19, 2007 08:26 PM (GMT)
lets see I have the PRT coming up, my SKC's retirement party, my normal night shift to work, and the newest hurdle to boot is getting ready for my transfer to yokosuka.
so....we'll see.
Kaiser Dragoon - April 20, 2007 01:41 AM (GMT)
Yay to the notion of seeing!!!
If its oriented around that concept then it has to be good B)
Teknoguyver - April 22, 2007 06:24 PM (GMT)
would anyone be willing to co-gm/dm this game with me? I really don't want this to end up in the grave with out at lest one chance at life.

Actually, I'd be interested in doing that.
