OOC: Like it says, i'm new so i figured i would come here to learn how things are done. Especially since its called boot camp.

IC:

Achile slowly stalks forward into the room. His cold blue eyes piercing their surroundings as he searches for something, anything really. But there is nothing there. For as far as the eye can see and the mind can reach it is simple and utter darkness. A darkness so cold, so bleak that could drive you mad if you where to sit about trying to understand its vast emptiness.

Despite the lack of anything he somehow managed to find a way to walk about as if solid earth lay beneath his feet. It didn't matter though, nothing mattered anymore. Now they only that was important to him and the only thing that would stay important to him was one simple idea, one constant that would cause him to continue forth to the end of his days. To be the best, to be the strongest.

His life had been one filled of trial and hardship and from an early age he had been fighting and killing to prove that he was in fact a survivor. In the beginning that had been enough. The simple will and need to survive was enough to sustain him. But as time went by his hunger grew. He wanted more, no wanted wasn't the right word, he needed more then that to justify his mere existence. That is why he fought, toiled, struck down all that opposed him and used each battle to prepare him for the next.

He had never lost a fight and wasn't planning to now. His was a world of perfect discpline, of perfect skill. Those who knew him wouldn't dare dream of approaching him and any fool brave enough to try now lay dead and buried deep into the ground.

He had defeated everyone worthy of a challenge in his world. His entire dimension had been filled with nothing but braggarts and upstarts tried their best to challenge this deadly warrior. But none of them could. Once it had all been finished, once it was all said and done and every challenge had been met. Every foe finished, every remnant of Chronos, the Creators and Earth itself having been wiped out and left a power void. A void the locals had wished Achile to fill. But along with his perfect discipline was also his status as a true loner. Depnding on no one, trusting no one and only being able to rely on himself and made him too independent for such a task. So he simply moved on.

Now he was in a new world. A vast empty one that fought to push his mind past its limits of understanding. But he wouldn't let that happen. Even with no one to fight there was still challenges to overcome. This void was simply another challenge.

His pale face turning to view a new direction as it caused his dark hair to whip behind his head was the first true reaction he had since entering this world. Maybe this place wasn't so empty after all. He felt a prescence with his mind. His mental powers reaching out and seeking this source of movement. Uncertain of what it was neverthelss there was something there.

"No use in hidiing now," his voice as cold as ice slipped past his lips and into the vast nothingness. "Show yourself and make it quick. Patience is not a virtue I have been known to retain."

OOC: Lemme know what ya think and anyone feel free to join in.

Achile didn't know just what he was facing. It appeared to be human.. but it's skin was a pale purple, and the being didn't have any discernable facial features. It stared at him with intent, and dispite the lack of any visable eyes it's gaze was almost physical in it's intensity. "Very well.. I hadn't expected to meet anyone out here on this rock.. but if you wish to disturb my solotude then so be it." With a shimmer of light a long ornate double-ended spear seems to fade into existance in the being's hand.

"They call me the Soul Eater.. I was forged by a master smith who's craft is beyong deffinition.. you will find me an adept adversary" The being twirled his spear, then lept backwards into the air, suddenly a rain of identical spears began to descend on Achile from multiple directions.

OOC again: This guy is a favorite of mine with considerable ability.. yet his effectiveness isn't in outright power, but his virsitility. His datafile can be found in the thunderball datafile sections.. don't hesitate to post your character's datafile so I'll know what I'm dealing with.

OOC: Fine, just because you got to him first...but if breaks, I get to fix him :smirk:

Paladin - September 6, 2006 06:45 AM (GMT)
OOC: Cool. I will have the DF up as soon as I finish hashing it out to meet your guy's standards but since its just the beginning I say it'll stay simple for now. Please feel free to make any comments, hints or tips about what I can impove on at any time. After all I am here to learn.

IC:

Achile let a small smile break across his lips. A momentary break in his discipline before his will forged of iron and hatred managed to beat the offending grin back down into submission.

With a flash of movement Achile tossed aside his long dark trench coat to reveal a powerful body honed from centuries of battle. Dark blue body armor mixed with swirls of blood red covered his torso as dark pants and high boots covered his lower half. His arms where relatively uncovered except for finger gloves attached to leather gauntlets. The most important aspect of his appearence however was at his waste. Resting on either hip was a powerful looking sword sheathed in scabbards so well crafted they seemed to be works of art.

Faster then one could believe possible the blades leapt from their sheathes and where in the master assassin's hands. Without a wasted moment or slightest effort he began to twirl his blades before him in a defensive stance. His muscles flexed and released in perfect rhythmn and timing as he slashed his blades to and fro, each one perfectly set to block an incoming spear and send it spinning away harmlessly.

As the last missle was battered aside Achile went into a sudden roll to his left as a spear tip came from directly on high in an attempt to pierce his skull. He stayed low following his roll as Soul Eater used his momentum to swing around in an attempt to kick his head clean from its shoulders. As he watched the strange being's legs circle past Achile took the advantage and came forth, his left handed sword snapping out in a perfect slash. But Soul Eater wasn't kidding when he said he was an adept advesary. The master creation pulled its spear tip from the ground in time to block not only first slash but even managed to put the spear's other end up to parry aside the follow up stab from the dark man's second blade.

Disengaging Achile slide back with perfect balance and Soul Eater responded as most skilled fighters would by stabbing straight out in a hope to use the spear's superior reach to his advantage. This was not Achile's first time against a spear wielder though and he was ready. More so then Soul Eater could have realized. As the deadly point came hurtling in towards his chest the dark and tortured man did the only thing possible and arched the muscles in his back as he leaned away in an attempt to avoid the surely fatal blow. As he watched the weapon's shaft graze just inches over his face and chest he continued the move as he pushed off the ground with both legs and pulled his body in tight as he executed a confined back flip. Soul Eater wasn't ready for such a suprisingly agile move and backed away a moment too late as Achile's twin blades came in two matching arcs to scores shallow cuts across his shins!

Using the momentum of the flip Achile came quickly back to his feet and kept a safe distance from the other man's spear as he circled to the left and stared intently at this new opponent, this new challenge of his skill.

"Soul Eater? Such an intimidating name no doubt but does it have an effect on one who truly has no soul?" the assassin asked. He did not await a respone as the next exchange between the two of skilled fighters began.

BloodStorm - September 6, 2006 06:55 AM (GMT)
"To be perfectly frank, That name is a relic from an age when I was a simple puppet to one whom thought himself a god.. but now that I am free I've decided to keep it.. rather nice ring to it, you think?"

Soul Eater whirled his spear around in an arc, the movements almost hypnotic in thier grace. "You should probobly look behind you now... seeing as I'm not really here"

Achilie's swords both cut through Soul Eater just as he finished his words, the blades cutting through flesh with no resistance.. and soul eater's form seemingly melted away into thousands of screaming crawling insects that in turn popped like bubbles on a cruel breeze.

A series of neddles shots into Achile's back.. the body armor saving him from any real injury.. but the impacts were enough to upset him. He spun around to see Soul Eater weilding a pair of hookswords similer to the ones Kabal used in Mortal Kombat Three, and that ominious double ended spear hovering in the air behind him, twitching with a life of it's own.

"I told you to look back here.. but no one ever looks behind them, do they?" Soul Eater's spear began to spin at insane speeds and flunt itself through the air like a savage rotary saw right at Achilies, with Soul Eater following in close pursuit.

OOC: Here ya go

Subject's Name: Achile

Classification: Mutated humanoid/ creator experiment
Height: Human 5’10
Weight: Human 195 pounds
Physical Description:
• Human Form: Subject’s normal every day form is that of an average human. He possesses pale skin, dark hair and piercing blue eyes.

Strength: Human Form 900 men
Speed: Human form: 20x
Agility: Agility and reflexes are nearly 20 times that of a standard guyver in. Due his tremendous skill in hand to hand combat Achile is able to detect, anticipate and avoid most attacks
Hypersensory range: ¼ mile range of psionic detection in human form,
Durability: 10x

Chaos and Order: Achile wields a pair of swords named Chaos and Order. How they where obtained is unknown but currently this is known about both weapons. Identical in nature both swords consist of a unique metallic alloy never before discovered. This alloy is incredibly light, incredibly sharp and nearly indestructible. Another unique aspect is that they are able to alter their own harmonic vibrations to match any energy source they come across, essentially giving Achile the ability to cut through with the same ease as flesh and bone. In addition both swords have shown the ability to create walls of ash that somehow block out all forms of normal and advanced detection.

Throwing Knives: Achile's right bracer is actually a highly sophisticated device used to shrink and store numerous items that the dark warrior feels he may need in the future. Most noteable of these would be a seemingly endless supply of throwing knives made of the same material as his swords.

Blink Teleportation: Achile posses a unique form travel in that he can blink teleport. Essentially he can travel anywhere instantly but only for short distances.

Cloaking: Another side effect of brutal experimentation by the Creators has left Achile undetectable to all forms of sensory perception except for the five basics. Anything else guyver, zoalord or other advanced form of detection simply do not register his presence. However it is still possible to perceive his location but the opponent must look instead for the space with absolutely nothing in it as opposed to the space with their target within it.

Alchemy: Somewhere throughout his travels Achile was able to upgrade his body in order to perform the ability of Alchemy and can essential transform an objects size, shape and elemental composition. However there are limitations to this seemingly fantastic power. First he must be in contact with the item he is manipulating and can only extend his alchemical abilities a distance of 200 feet through a solid surface before he can no longer effect it.

*please note this is not a complete datafile but I figured it would help for this fight and i can add in the rest in a full rpg setting.

IC:

Whatever this thing was it certainly was good. Normally he never lost track of his opponent's while in battle but somehow Soul Eater had managed to do just that. With the advantage it had managed to get great placement, summon additional weapons and cause him a minor injury by impaling his body armor with those needles.

As the spear hurtled closer the assassin knew he would kneed to utilize some of his more unique skills in order to survive the onslaught. With a single graceful move he slide his right sword back into its sheath and placed the now free hand on the ground. A blood red glow eminated from his palm into the ground and seemed to infect the very soil beneath him. Up from the rock came several tons of earth. The dirt became solid as it formed a barrier between Achile and the spinning spear mere moments before it struck. So quickly was the weapon spinnign that the inpromptu shield blew apart under the sheer force of the first strike.

Soul Eater had to squint his eyes as he rushed in knowing his foe was waiting behind the shield for certainly no one could have moved quickly enough to escape his field of vision.

As he came forward he saw a dark shape amidst the dust that swirled around him and knew it to be his target. With a viscous double chop he came down on his opponent like a furious animal prepared to pounce. The hooked blades came in and slammed down hard onto, suprising little resistance! As the dust cleared Soul Eater saw that it was not indeed his foe as he originally thought but instead a wall of ash hung in the air before him like a dark tattered cloth! But where was Achile!

The answer quickly came as the ground beneath Soul Eater's feet began to glow with the same blood red glow seeped into the ground beneath his feet. He leapt high into the air as an explosion rocked the spot where he once stood! As he sailed through the sky a quartet of daggers flew out from the remaining dust clouds. Soul Eater blocked the first two perfectly but the third slammed pommel first into his right eye and the fourth grazed his bicep.

As he returned to the ground he saw the rest of the dust clear and Achile stood ready and waiting. A gash along his shoulder showed that he hadn't fully dodge the spear's attack but if the wound hurt him at all he didn't not seem to act as such. He held a throwing knife in one hand and his sword in the other. In one fluid motion he hurled the smaller blade forward and retrieved his longer one in the same movement.

Soul Eater was prepared for the throw and easily blocked the strike but he knew it was a set up as Achile came closer. At the last moment the young man shocked his opponent by not attacking straight on but instead beginning to spin at high speeds. His blades worked furiously around like the edge of a corkscew as they came in high and low, each pass bringing and new angle of attack and a new chance for death should a parry be missed.

Soul Eater managed to block and avoid the blows but he was slowly pressed back and forced onto his heels to try and keep his balance. Suddenly without notice Achile was gone! Intution alone saved Soul Eater as he rolled forward just as a sword blade passed by close enough to tear through his clothing.

"I didn't look because the look behind you trick is one of the oldest in books. Although it does work from time to time." As he said those words he gestured behind the living weapon and then blinked from sight! Soul Eater turned but met with regret as he head Achile reappear in almost the same spot he left. The assassin struck another shallow blow before retreating from a backhand that cut a minor nick across his cheek. Again he simply stopped his forward motion and begn to circle as he awaited Soul Eater to make the next move once again.

BloodStorm - September 6, 2006 09:48 PM (GMT)
Soul Eater laughed slowly, having been testing Achile all along.. Soul Eater didn't need any visual organs, he only moved like he did to convince others that he was like them when he needed to blend in..

"Your pretty good.. for a humanoid" Soul Eater chuckled slightly. "but your thinking that my body works the same way yours does.. that's not always the case"

Soul Eater vanished from veiw. It wasn't a teliport.. it wasn't a stealth system.. he simply wasn't there anymore. His voice seemed to rumble from the area surrounding Achile from all directions. "I think it's time to play"

With that, two identical figures appeared on either side of Achile, neither one seemingly injured from the earlier exchange of blows. Each of them carried a weapon in one hand, the other hand's fingers were elongated into wickedly barbed whips. The figure on the left carried a huge spiked hammer that looked too large to be handled one handed, the other one carried a full grown scythe with a terribly sharp blade.. it too was held impossable easy in a single hand.

Both of the figures swung thier whips at Achile.. sickening looking goo began to spurt from the barbs as they swung through the air. Not wanting to see what the goo could do, Achile lept into the air, expecting to see both sets of whips collide and tangle.. but like snakes they seemed to follow his movement into the air, grabbing his legs and coiling tightly, barbs sinking into flesh and pumping in toxin. The two Soul Eaters then began to move in unison, swinging him high into the air and slamming him into the group repeadedly, leaving man sized craters in the barrel soil.

Achili fought against the pain in his legs and attempted a rapid spin, drawing the two togeather, when the whips seemingly melted off his legs as the two bodies faded away into nothingness.

Another Soul Eater was suddenly above him, and fired a sickly black net down at hypersonic speeds, pinning Achili to the ground. Achili didn't know how Soul Eater was moving that fast.. and in truth, soul eater wasn't moving from place to place at all. Sitting motionless across the vast wastland was another figure, watching the battle with a cold inteligence in it's empty eye sockets, a small scar rested on one of it's finger, reminisceant of a ring that had burned flesh or something similer. Soul Eater knew Achile would discover that he was just fighting puppets soon enough, then the real fun would begin.

Paladin - September 9, 2006 05:04 AM (GMT)
This was not happening! He had fought for longer then most galaxies existed. He had pierced the veils of time and space and had defeated everything that had come his way. Guyver Zoalords, Creator Fleets, nameless beings with power so great they would consume the mind to simply conjure an image of them and yet this person....no that wasn't right, this THING had injured him deeply and trapped him.

The viscous toxin still pumping through his veins there was little that Achile could do to even rise enough to bring his blades to bear against the net that held him down. As the cruel substance continued to burn through his veins he felt the darkness begin to settle in on his consciousness. With an iron will he dropped both his blades to the ground and planted his forearms against the dirt. He would not lose, he couldn't lose. Because to do so would mean his entire life had been for nothing. His existence was a mere joke and frankly that was a fate worse then death itself.

With impressive strength Achile slowly managed to raise himself up from the ground. Slowly but steadily he managed to put first one knee and then another onto the surface. He continued working his way up and finally had managed to reach all fours. While it wasn't a preferred position to fight from it was one he could use none the less.

A flash of motion made the assassin turn to see two more Soul Eaters headed his way, both wielding their viscous whips and one with the scythe, the other with a war hammer. These things, he knew, where not the true master he had fought. Centuries of combat had taught him many tricks and many techniques. Including the one to see puppets, pale shadows of their master but deadly enough none the less.

As the two creatures rushed him Achile had a suprise of his own. He planted both palms on the ground and like fire the blood red glow of his alchemical powers flowed from his hands into the netting that held him. The substance of the net quickly changed into solid diamond, virtually unbreakable now. Before either opponent could react the net shattered in a massive outward explosion of deadly shards and brutual fragments. Not fast enough both Soul Eaters caught numerous pieces to the face and upper body and where knocked flat.

In a flash Achile was up and rushed both opponents. Not wanting to admit it to his foe but he to had been holding back. He skill with a blade was such that he could end a fight in one stroke if need be. However this new foe had intriguied him greatly and he had wanted to test the boundries of its skill. Now, however, he had realized his mistake in doing so and the time for messing around was over. THe first Soul Eater, the one with the scythe, managed to regain its stance by the time Achile was within striking distance. It swung its cruel blade in a horizontal stroke meant to cleave him in two, how little this thins really knew of combat. Without slowing Achile went down to his knees and slid underneath the blade as the wind rushing by caused his hair to swirl around for a moment. The move left his opponent wide open and first a blade came forward and pierced its side where the ribs would be and drove in all the way up to the hilt. Wasting no time Achile slid his right blade back into its sheath and planted his now free hand on the creature's torso. Blood red shined for an instant before the sword was removed and a viscous spin kick sent it flying away. The being had no idea what had been done to it until seconds later it erupted in a fiery blast!

The hammer wielder was next as it came in. Hammer held high as it prepared for a crushing blow. With a thought a throwing knife dropped into his right hand and he hurled it along with numerous others in rapid succession. Just as the beast came in it swung its hammer low, obviously wanting to crush a knee. But the move was obvious and Achile was ready. With the grace of a cat he sprung up to the hammer's head and ran up its length to Soul Eater's arm where he continued his run before flipping over in a pefectly balanced move. As he traveled over a knife appeared in the thing's eye, the top of the skull and the back of the head! Each glowed brightly before exploding moments later and taking the puppet with it.

The explosion did little to Achile as he awaited what he knew to be next. The third puppet predictably showed up behind the warrior and its net fired forward again, the rush of wind almost defeaning as it raced towards him. But he had expected the move and what was more important, he knew what his next step would be. Just as the net hit he blink teleported behind his enemy. Not having enough time the beast had no chance as a blade pierced its chest from behind before viscously twisting free. An over hand chop cleaved it in two as Achile stood there admist the gore. As he waited he watched the chunks quiver as they struggled to heal the damage and he knew then he had been right to utterly destroy these monsters.

An explosive death later Achile felt like he was alone again. But he knew better then that. As another throwing knife dropped into his hand he seemed to focus intently. He hurled the knife to the side and it raced forward until Soul Eater caught it with ease. Slowly the weapon turned warrior moved the hand aside to view his opponent but Achile was gone! But how was certainly the question. Then he realized it. When he hurled the knife it had caused his attention to shift for the slightest instance and in that moment the assassin made his move. With his natural cloaking it would difficult to tell where he went. But that wasn't necessary.

Soul Eater sprung forward at the last instant as a sword blade cut through its back. Flesh, or what amounted for it anways, parted beneath the swipe and surely now the creature would feel pain. The wound hurt but it was shallow, Soul Eater had avoided death by mere moments. As it continued forward a pair of knives struck it in each shoulder and drove in up the hilt before their blades began to metal and burning hot liquid metal entered its veins. Apparently Achile had altered his blades again with his alchemy.

Soul Eater turned to see Achile standing there. His pale eyes transfixed on his opponent as he continued to search for a weakness, something that he could exploit to end this fight soon.

"Having fun yet?" he asked in his cold voice, " Just don't insult me by sending anymore of those puppets. If you want to fight me at least have the courage to do so yourself." he said as he simply waited.
