Title: Bad year
BloodStorm - June 25, 2006 05:57 PM (GMT)
Just barely halfway through the year, and I can allready tell the rest of it's going to suck.
I'm sure all of you know that my father passed away earlier this year.. well.. It's happened again.. I just found out earlier that my dog of 5 years died yesterday afternoon due to health complications.
I've lost two loved ones allready this year.. And I've got a terrible feeling that it's not over yet.
So.. all I can do is wait to see who fate decides to rip from my paws next.

I had a cat when i was about 9 years old. I'd like to think that that cat ( Whiskey) chose me. Anyway, I lost Whiskey while I was away in New York visiting family. Whiskey was a fighter, he fought dogs, cats, hell even people....AND WON. Whiskey was my best friend for close to 5-6 years and for all the fight in him he couldn't fight his time. It took me along time to realize this but in the end I'd like to think that he is someplace better, being youger and healthier than he ever was here and beating the shit out of whatever walks his way...(except me ofcourse). I guess what i am trying to say is that as much as i want him back....he was sick (died in the litter box taking a poop. Apparently his heart gave out) and now he's someplace where he doesn't have to worry about that anymore. A place where he's healthy and will always be like i remember him.
I guess you can take this rant for what it's worth but i just felt the need to share that.
Take care and keep your head up.

You guys ever feel like death is playing with darts.. and that your the bullseye? Of course you want him to miss, so he doesn't get you.. but what if he wisens up and starts putting freinds in family in the other portions of the dartboard?
My grandfather's brother had a stroke today.. He's currently in a coma, and the doctors don't think he'll make it.
Mr Reaper's taunting me.. I know it.. Death's damn good at darts.. he doesn't miss unless he means to..
Makes me wonder how many darts are left before he ends our little game.

Death may be good at darts but so help me he's not immune to me kicking his ass with a hockey stick!!!! :shotgun: :jedi: :pwned:
Not to worry Blood, Death won't be flirting you with a while.

Yeah that dart board analogy is how I feel alot, I've literally had more close calls then I can even remember where if things had gone just a little differently I probably wouldve been killed or at least seriously injured, sort of like a less dramatic version of those final destination movies. But somehow I've always managed to avoid it and escape unscathed. However despite my perfect track record of escaping doom, I make it a point never to get too overconfident. Some people walk around like they think their immortal and end up getting creamed in the end because of it, afterall when you feel too safe is when it's most dangerous.
There's one dubious hypothesis that's been floating around in the back of my mind concerning why this may occur to me, despite how unlikely it is. But it would be a bit innapropriate to bring that up in such a serious topic.
On the other hand I havent had too many close people die around me in recent years, when I was a kid my dad and 3 of my four grandparents died around the same time though which wasn't too nice. But that sort of thing hasn't happened to me recently thankfully.
