Yus, it be trues, Dante and Vergil be missing, and due to a little rift on Mallet Island, Demons are pouring back into the human realm. Without a Dark Knight to defend them, more people must step up to defend the human realm. Of course, this isn't to say our favorite demon brothers won't be showing up at all, they just won't be around to pull our asses out of the fire until later. ^_^

Demons available will be halfling offspring of greater demons. As Vergil and Dante were the offspring of Sparda, your characters will be the offspring of other legendary creatures.

Your parent would be the source of your power, and would effect your Devil Trigger when you are allowed to use it.

Also, none of the halflings are as adept as Dante or Vergil right now. A bullet to the brain, while annoying to Dante, would seriously injure, if not kill you right now. As you all progress you will unlock new Demonology Powers. Some will be able to summon familiars, command the undead, or outright wield the Devil Trigger pretty quickly.

Devil arms will also effect you and the Styles you can learn, much like in DMC3.

The basic styles effect your Devil Powers and the weapons you excel with.IE, Gunslinger would give you demonic powers with firearms, able to charge dark energy into each bullet. Trickster would give you superb agility, making you able to run up walls, kinda like spider man.

Sounds good. Keep it coming. I am a huge fan of DMC so this is definently something I would be interested in. I have a couple of questions though. The style upgrades, how will that be put into effect as well as weapon upgrades. And also, in DMC 2 there were Devil Trigger upgrades in the form of Hearts(like Aerial Heart, Chrono Heart, etc...) or something to the like... will that be put into play as well? In any case keep the creative juices flowing. Oh, how long 'til the bad boy is up and running? :booze:

Well, in DMC2, the "Hearts" were pieces of Dante's mothers amulet. Not all Demons will have an enhancing amulet, but some will.

Higher power demons like Destruction offspring won't need any enhancements because they will develop such powers naturally, the downside is these powers need to evolve over time, those with amulets can just use the powers with the "heart" installed.

I'm also still working on the Style and Weapon upgrades.

Well, cool. I think I'll call being a destruction demon. Maybe the style and weapon upgrading can be put into effect by way of giving exp on the usage of said style or weapon in post content.

Sounds like fun, now to decide which lineage to follow :D

Well, no lineage is blocked off at a certain number, though I'd like to keep things down to around a max of 4 siblings per demon.

Weapons and Style EXP is something I hadn't thought of, but might be able to do and simplify enough to stick with it.

Ok, well, you can use just about any type of weaponry you please, just nothing futureistic like beam weapons or energ sabers. This goes for your guns and guns only. Melee weapons are going to be your familiars/devil arm.

Familiars are weapons you excel in using for melee. Vergils Yamato for example. Plain old human weapon, but deadly in his head.

Devil Arms will be specially imbued demonic weapons that usually take on an element or something of the sort.

Styles will be varied once I managed to come up with a few more. The basic ones are from DMC3
Gunslinger
Swordmaster
Trickster
Royal Guard
Quicksilver
And the shadow clone one Dante gains near the end.

Just curious, would we be able to use two styles at once at a slower exp rate or no?

Was thinking about Hecate myself or Asmodeus for judgement, defintiely one of the two.

Backround: Darien is a direct desendant of the Demoness of Death, Hecate, the one who commands Uriel, death iself in his mission of unlife. Hecate birthed several children in her existence, but only one was ever half human, Darien. Nothing is known of Dariens father save he was a mistake on Uriels half. He was a shadow among humans and few know of his actions in life. The man was not to have died so soon though. He had a great task before him to complete. As he could not do so now, the circle of fate was broken, and Hecate would need to relinquish his soul back to a body. However, time had passed and his body had decayed. The man was then given a choice, move on to the next life free of fates bindings, or remain with her an eternity attempting fix the mistake her servant Uriel has made. In exchange for this though, Hecate promised his bloodline would live on through her. As such, she became pregnant with Darien. Leaving the child in human care, Hecate and the man set about secretly preparing their child to complete the task his father could not. What task that is though noone knows. Darien is a very outspoken young man, never caring for what others think and never thinking about what others care for. His actions can be brash and foolhardy, usually resulting in heavy injury for himself and those around him. Having never known his parents and even less about them, Darien sees himself as unbound. He has no ties to the world or it's peoples, he simply is who he is and travels accordingly, letting the wind take him. Recent events have drawn him to Mallet island, something there is calling to him and he knows not what it is yet.

Backround: Oberon was born in the depth’s of Bhaal’s hellish realm in a harem pen where his mother had, over the passing of a millenium, made her home with other unfortunate women. In her own sense, Alice is a very mysterious woman. Very apt in the ways of sorcery, it was a wonder how she ended up in the hellish grasp of Bhaal himself for so long. All that is known of her is once Oberon was born she made a prompt escape to another realm of swift murder. In this realm the master was strangely vacant and Alice was suprisingly at ease there. Time in the realm of Earth passed as normal, but in the realm they where in time passed at an amazing rate. While in this realm Alice taught Oberon many different ways to defend himself and he grew an affinity for a certain double bladed sword they had seen in the armory. After his grueling training and reaching the age of 23 he was allowed to take one weapon of his choice. Much to his mother’s approval he chose a double bladed yamato. With his mothers blessing, she sent him through a portal to the Realm of Earth. A soft laughter was unheard behind him as he passed through.

Ok, I'll be setting up the DF thread shortly in it's proper section. The RPG will run along the same lines as the games, each section is split into around 20 mission like objectives, maybe less.

The first section will be on Mallet island from the first game. So, I leave it to you all to get your characters there.

I havent really played Devil May Cry, just the first one. I play Onimusha, I like those, not saying that DMC isnt good, played the first one thoughgt it was great but started the 2nd and couldnt get into it.

I think a lot of people had that problem with DMC2. Even myself, and I'm a DMC freak...

DMC3 is the best though, in my opinion. Should play it, Rob. Or better yet, play the DMC3: Special Edition version.
