Title: No more borrowed laptop!
BloodStorm - March 5, 2006 03:46 PM (GMT)
Yes.... The time has come to cast away my mother's borrowed laptop.. No longer shall I wallow in it's depressive over-heating.. NO LONGER SHALL I BE DENIED FLASHY VIDEO GAMES !!
I have successfully hooked up my christmas present.. a brand new gaming rig. It might take a few days to transfer all my files from the laptop to the new system.. so I should be on msn for a little while each day (read: I'm lazy and will probobly leave them there for a couple months.. spending ALL my time on msn)
MY GODS! THE POWER! IT IS I WHO NOW HAVE THE POWER! <flys around DBZ-ish and blows something up with lazer eyes> SHREEEEEEEOONK!

Congrats, Blood and Techno! Looks like we three have hit the new computer trifecta.
Gateway GX7022E:
Intel Pentium Dual Core processor running at 3.00 Ghz/800 Mhz FSB.
Operating System: Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
LCD Monitor: 21'' wide screen with pivot feature running at 1280x1024 at 60 hertz.
Memory: 2GB of Dual Channel 4200 DDR2 RAM.
Hard Drive: 320GB 7200rpm with 8MB cache. (This isn't enough space for what I'm doing. I'm planning on adding 2 Seagate 500GB External drives.)
Optical Drives: Double Layer 16x Muti format DVD+/-RW and DVD drive.
Readers: 8 in 1 Memory Card Reader.
Video Card: 256 Nvidia GeForce 7800GT
Network Card: Integrated 10/100/1000 Ethernet card. (They also gave out a 56k modem, but who uses those anymore?)
TV Tuner: Hauppage WinTv 500MCE. PVR (Best Tuner card I've ever seen. As long as I've got power and HD spaace for my best quality, 1 minute before and ending 2 minutes after start settings, this thing doesn't lose a step.)
There you have it, aside from the 7 USB and 4 firewire ports.
