my ps2 won't read discs. Does anybody have an idea of how to fix this? It'll play sometimes after you monkey around with it.

There's only really two things I can think of, those being

1, something's come loose inside and is screwing it around

or

2, the laser head is dirty, because that happens to me alot too,

so I recommend you go out and buy yourself a ps2 cleaner, if that doesnt work, your most likely looking at buying a new PS2, unless you know someone who can fix them

Well I'm pretty sure buying a new one is out of the question and I don't anyone who would ATTEMPT to fix it. A ps2 cleaner may be my only solution.

Never mind. I have taken the cover off and cleaned the lens. It works without fail now.
