Had this game a few days now and so far it's been pretty good and addictive. :rolleyes:
Anyone here trying it out? Icould really use some advice on what weapons stats to raise.

hmmm, I got this game. For the hero i raised nothing but his sword skills till he got the +10 attack with swords, then i raised his courage till he got squelch, and raised sword again, till he got Metal Slash, it's really helpful against metal slimes, which give you a shitload of EXP.

As for yangus i evenly split his skills between Club, Axe, and Humanity. Jessica i did whip and sex appeal. for Angelo i did Sword and his last one, forget what its called, charm or something.

P.S. If you got an extra scale shield and a leather whip, put 'em in the alchemy pot, if you do this as soon as you get the pot, you can get a good whip for Jessica. Also, stone axe and pointy hat is a good combo in the pot, so is chimera wing and leather hat. if you happened to pick up a bunny tail along the way, combine that with the hairband and you got the bunny ears, those head armors that those items make are some of the best you can get until about pickham, maybe even later than that.

Thanks for the tips WZ. I've been on it alot lately and well, I'm up to rapthorne and he is a Bitch! I'm only in the 40's and will probably need to be in the 50's before he emits defeat.

one thing i like about this game is that when you face monsters that curse you, the hero is immune to them XD i hate it when my team gets cursed and cant attack... it angers me.

Speaking of cursed. There are a few items that are cursed. Here's the one I've found so far.

Hades helm(Safe to epuip)
Devils tail (DO NOT equip! Doing so means it will be stuck on you and cannot be removed except with a benediction from a priest, which can cost a pretty penny.)
Double Edged Sword(You take damage as well when it strikes)

Theres one more but I can't remember exactly what it's called. Some advice, keep the devils tail and battle fork (when you aquire it) and wing of bat. Once your alchemy pot can fuse three items at a time, you'll be surprised at the results.

Oh, and a question for you. What part are you at? That will give a good estimate as to when you'll get the alchemy pot.(only does two at a time. Three at a time will come later.)

Some other stuff aswell. There is a guy who will want you to find three monsters. Morrie is his name. He'll give you three slips with a description of each one and picture. Find them all. Go back and talk to him after he goes inside the building. You should be able to summon a team of monsters during battle after completing this task. The monster team will ne the ones you had to find for him.
Near Farebury's alternate exit. Is a monster with 700 hundred or so hp. Kill him if your up to the challenge. He'll look like a giant lizard with an axe. If you have dragon slash use it. After he's dead he'll rise up like the others did before being sent to morrie. The screen will ask if you want to add it to your team. Say yes.

i've made it upto pickham before i restarted my game once i got my new TV, my old one kept getting all blurry and hard to see when i got into dark areas. Yoiu'd be surprised how many treasures i missed when you cant see where your going hardly.

Also, as for the cursed double edge sword, you can use the alchemy pot on it, add a couple other items, i forget which ones, and turn it into the Uber double edge, same attack power and everything,m except its not cursed.

The one in the same. If Angelo has a heal spell use it if you face him again. The monsters will only stay for about 4 turns if you summon them. Once you're at dhoulmagus, you'll need all the help you can get. Especially when he transforms. But yeah I'm pretty sure he has only 700 may be a bit more. Like after oyu kill them, it shows there stats.Attack speed defense mp all that stuff.

The Uber double edge sword huh? i'll have to do some reading.

Are you just using the sword? Or switching out. I've found that a lance is very deadly with multi thrust.

I've been thinking about starting a new game. Because like an idiot, I sold one of the bows that you find in a chest. I found out later that that bow and the other two i have can be fused to form something called "A Great God" bow.

mainly i use a sword with the hero, but sometimes i use a boomerang, like back when he had the copper sword still, i'd use the reinforced boomerang.

Um Yeah about that curse thing there is a really good reason for the hero's immunity to all curses (um by equipible Items as well). Clear the game and save then load the save and go to the western continent you will learn about the past of the hero.

wow, hes immune to equipped item curses too? I didntk now that, hmmm, but when i finish the game, i'll have to look into that...

Yeah thats one element I like. The hero rarely gets cursed. So what your saying welt is that the cursed items have zero effect on the hero?(I know i'm stating the obvious)
