Hey, we Australian's celebrate Boxing Day too
Its a tradition that when families get together to celebrate it that we have at least one game of cricket, even those that hate the game, such as me will play ^^ But hey, its tradition ^^

Boxing day is the day after christmas where all the kids put the stuff they don't want back in the boxes they came in and demand mommy and daddy take them to the store to exchange the bad toys for shiny new ones. (Disclaimer, not accually true)
And the rest of the world things America has strange holidays.

Yere quite a bit late with that one Tekky, the "proper" :P Thanksgiving happened quite a while ago, but it's the sentiment that counts.
As for Boxing Day, for most Canadians it signals the start of the World Junior Hockey Championships, not so much returning stuff, though when you receive money as presents its a great way to use it and make those lazy relatives and family members feel like they did something right B)
