Title: Superhero rpg?
Description: or just another half baked idea
guyver's bane - November 3, 2005 12:51 PM (GMT)
What do you guys think about this? An rpg where you can be any superhero ( existing or created) you want.(guyver does count as a superhero in my books.)

actually, while the idea isn't original,it could work well as long as we set well defined limits.
Guess who's calling Gambit though ;)

I'm in, and if you don't know who I'm using you definately need your head examined :wolfy:

*Zip Lines in* I'm up for it, but like Kris said. We need some way to make sure everyone works on a level playing field and with this kind of thing, we'll also need a good storyline to keep things cohesive.
Although, I might pick Jericho Cross instead of Spiderman :v:

I'm gonna pick the Human Torch
BloodStorm - November 4, 2005 01:13 AM (GMT)
I'll play a superhero I made up.
Crimson Arse.
A super hero with the power to increase the density of his hips by 2000% and teliport directly above the foe's head.. resulting in a rather messy confrentation.

Oooooh, I didnt see that we could actually create our own super hero's
then in that case I shall be playing as a Superhero character I created called
Lonewolf

All Right! Heres a some what idea of the story line.
Set in a city where all hope is lost and crime is the main buisness. You can't go out in day or at night with out being shot at by a passing car. It's bad here. The police force has long been destroyed and no justice is being served. However, not all is lost. Individuals have stood up and refused to stand by and watch the chaos escalate.
Little dry, but open to suggestions.
As for the limits well, in the world of superheros each one is stronger than some else and each power is the same. I don't really know what limit to set then instant death when touching someone.
I'll start working on my datafile and if any you have it completed, pm me and I'll start the datafile thread. Unlees, one of you decides to do it.

Make sure you have a detailed idea for a plot other then just some random Sin City like place because it's fun to beat up baddies but only for so long...As for Blood, you could try something a little less...Blood-ish for this one :P

You could make it that since the police force is destroyed it's the government or anoher new organisation that's paying these guys as a kind of bounty hunter force to police the city.
As for limits, well maybe not limits, just some sort of table or something where the characters powers even then out with each other.

personally I say have it that there is a police force, only have it that the police are almost as bad as the rest of the scum lurking around. That way we Superhero's have more then just super villians and the likes to worry about.
guyver's bane - November 7, 2005 12:49 PM (GMT)
Well for the police force, maybe making them as bad as the rest wouldn't be so bad. Dont worry this isn't some random bad guy beating up storyline. We're taking back Gavleon city from the crimelords. And well, they're not to happy about it and start to hire mercenary villains to kill us. Is this better?
EDIT
There might be a few android hords popping up. Since we might all get tired of villains.
I'll set the data file thread up.
