My favorite game would have to be Kingdom Hearts hands down.

Blood Omen: The Legacy of Kain.

This is my favorite game and in my own opinion the best example of what a game should have within it.

Masterful voice acting from professionals that truely fit the characters they were meant to portray.

An amazing storyline developed at an external company from the publisher, this allows the publisher to concentrate on the Character Design, developing their combat engine and designing the game itself overall, from controls, to texture mapping, to the very sorroundings your character finds himself in. By splitting the duties like this, the probability of a crappy game being released decreases exponentially.

Kain's story is one that has you both hating and pitying him, eventually siding with his dark choice at the end of the game as you know you would have chosen such too when put in the same situation, manipulated by every side for their own means. This amazing plotline spans over 5 games now and will hopefully continue onward to bigger and better games, and systems.

This game also puts an entirely new spin on the vampire mythos, adding traditional and new ideas to the legends and building upon them to create something as detailed and intricate as even the most famous of beasts, like Bram Stokers Dracula.

This is truely my all time favorite game and nothing could surpass it as of this point in time.

Chris made a pretty solid choice with his pick, I don't know how many people have found a copy of Blood Omen: Legacy Of Kain out there to play but I have and it is as the man says a fantasticly deep plotline and story that simply catches anyone who gets involved with it.

Unfortunately though it's not my number one. Favourite all time game would be PS1's Metal Gear Solid: Solid Snake.

First time I played this game I was just blown away by it. I'd never played a game that drew me into it's world as much so this or so well before. It's structure for story as meant you were constantly finding out soemthing new, each different peice of info was a twist and something new.

Game play was he other great thing, I'd tried to play other stealth styled games before but this was the only one I felt that ever made the concept work but not just work, prosper. Stealth was a necessity and you felt it.

Perhaps the greatest thing about this game was the characters themselves, even the ones on the codec (radio essentially) that never fully appeared in the screen. Each one was unique and engrossing for different reasons, each had they're own idea and agenda. Meeting some of them in the boss battles. Fighting and beating them, I don't think I ever played another game where I wanted my opponent to stay alive because I liked and believed in them so much each of them was so rich and intrigueing.
Well anyway there you have it, my favourite game.

And yeah Bloodfang I have, great game and compeltely in a place all by it's self when it was released. Second one twisted my nads, it was an ok game in it's own right but compared to the original it was a serious step back. I'm still grateful for the most redeeming DMC3 something for which I think did the original proud.

hmmm, tough choice, but i cant pick just one.

FFVII, FFIX, Kotor, Kotor II, Tales of Symphonia, Legend of the Dragoon and fullmetal Alchemist 2.

Same answer it's been for the last five years,The Baldur's Gate series.Over the two games the intricacies of the plot are just astounding.Granted the graphics have aged badly but the story is second to none(except maybe Planescape:Torment) Baldur's gate 2 is the only game I could easily spend 100+ hours doing just one playthrough, and that's without mods or such like adding to the options

Jak 3, no doubt about it. Light jak :) and Dark jak [666] are a kick ass combination.
