Actually i've known about this for awhile now. In terms of doing justice to the original story I'm alot more hopeful about this then the live action evangelion and especially the live action parasyte movie, because from what I heard cameron was a big fan of the manga.

Gah.. Evangelleon was way to crazy to even attempt a live action movie.

On topic though, a battleangel movie would be pretty badass and stuff.

From what I understand they plan to make a trilogy of live action eva movies that highlight the main points of the story. But I wouldnt trust most hollywood directors with this undertaking. A live action eva movie needs someone whose good at thinking outside the box, like me, thats why I should be directing the live action eva movies...but unfortunatly that wont happen.

But I'm even more worried about the parasyte movie, because from the comments I've heard from the people making it their almost outright saying their going to turn it into a men in black style comedy abandoning the deeper and more mature aspects of the storyline. I shudder to think what might end up coming of that.

But from what I've heard of Battle angel on the other hand sounds much more promising. Especially the decision to use a CG character since Gally would just work better in CG then live action. Can't wait to see what comes of that.

An eva movie, thats fucking impossible, there's no way htey can compress all the contect of eva into a movie or even a few movies.........

Yeah, also it's possible they could get it right this time. the Concept of a future world full of cyborgs is an easiar idea for hollywood to get a grip on and work into a live action film that other manga or anime ideas they've tried to work into film form. Also despite Titanic, I do like James Camerons stuff quite a bit. But I will hold some skepticism.....

I dont know, I would say its impossible..... difficult yes, but not impossible.

If they could find the right director and scripit writer then yeah, its very possible.. Finding the right actors on the other hand is another matter. I still stand by my opinion that the girl that plays Granger in the Harry Potter movies would make a good Auska.

If Anno Hideki could speak and write in english, he would obviously be the best person to get to make a live action adaption of Evagelion, I mean if your gonna make a live action movie of something, who better to get then the original creator?
