Nah.. we just have the most stupid people in one group when compared to the rest of the world. I'm sure it happens elsewhere too, but America seems to encourage this sort of thing, so you hear about it so much it seems like we're the only ones doing it.

I think the thing is that since there's a higher number of people in America they're ratio of normal people compared to dumbasses is also much higher so they have more instances of stupid shit happening and it just creates a steriotype of all Americans.
