Because i love this game i have had it since it came out and have almost never stoped playing it because it is so different each time you play (bar the quests of course) and the types of items that you get are all totally random plus the characters have been designed very well with each one having totally unique skills and way(s) of play.

So like the thread says does any one else play this game and if so what are your reason(s) for liking it and favourite character (s) to play as.

I used to play, a couple years ago.. but I sort of just fell out of it.

I was always partial to the barbarian. The ability to use a two handed sword in each hand was just plain crazy.. Mmmm.. dual weilding two copies of The Grandfather Yummy..

Plus leap attack had to be the best way to get around the map. Not only was it an easy way to bypass alot of obsticles. but it was a hefty attack in it's own right.

Personally i do not like the Barbarian because IMO he is too simple a character. I prefer either the Necromancer, Assasin or Sorceress because they seem to me at leats require some level of stratigic(sp) thought when you play as them rather than just wading in to a group of enemies with all blades spinning.

Oh and Bloodstorm if you thought that twin Grandfather swords were bad you should see Breath Of The Dying and Oath.

I used to play the game a off and on up to a year ago. I tended to lean towards playing the Druid, just because I got to summon a slew of nasty creatures, turn into a werewolf or werebear, depending on my mood, and have asteriod debris fall from the sky when I used the spell Armageddon :war:

The Barbarian was my favorite becuase I've always been the kind of guy to use overwhelming force to destroy the enamy in as little time possable. I also played around with the other classes a bit, ussually using either an assassin or a necromancer.

Hehehe.. Traps were fun.. Heeere leezard leezard leezard.. BOOM!

And when I'm feeling particurally cruel, I have an Amazon with a crossbow socketed with four perfect emeralds...

I have it, sadly my LOD pack is gone and I must buy a new one. Probably next monday or friday who knows. I'm off to play plain old Diablo 2 soon anyway...possibly, or draw.

That is just plain nasty Bloodstorm come on you have to at least give them some chance to get a hit in :lol: :lol:

Nah.. I figure if the enamy gets in a chance to hit you, then your not doing something right.

Besides.. the poison doesn't kill them instantly.. and several of the later enamies are imune to poison entirely.. but it's loads of fun to just watch a huge monster's health drop like a rock with only a single hit. Hehehe.

The Sorceress is great for causing even the lagrest of enemies health bar to drop like a ton of bricks :666: :666:. Killing off a group of mosters with chain lightening is even better especially if hey have been slaughtering everyone else :lol: :lol: :lol: can you say bragging rights he he he

Paladin or Necro were the only classes I ever played as.

I like all the classes, got a bunch of offline guys and one or two online ones. Reactivated my account wit a new LOD CD key and started playing again this morning. Got a nice lil lvl 16 Sorceress witht he ability to wield heavy weapons and armor while stabbing you with elemental spells, wheeeee for static field!!!!
