Is, but ' strongly the B armored guy bar ', gradually displaying the originality

Shocking development is exhibited with for the cartoon animation fan which is said.

Serialization start at that time popularity moves to the protagonist which is called real system from the protagonist which is made the hero way regardless of cartoon animation, goes, perhaps it is that chrysalis.

Yes, it finnally happened! I knew that someday it would happen and its finnally going down. Based on what I read this will probably be tv series. Hopefully it'll be more then the usual 26 episodes, because I'de like to see them fit as much of the stroy in as possible especially the post Day X stuff.

Riven - March 28, 2005 11:38 PM (GMT)
I hope it continues on from the last episode of the third OVA but with more episodes, I hope there's more then forty or fifty episodes myself

Mr Zektoll - March 29, 2005 01:31 AM (GMT)
I doubt they'll pick off where the last oav ended for several reason, one of the big ones being is that the way anime looks now is quite different then how it looked in the 80's even if they used the same character designs it would seem kind of jarring, also they would probably use new voice actors as well. Those reasons aside I personally feel it would be a bad idea to pick off where the last oav left off. The first 6 oav eps were really good, but 7-12 didn't really do the original story justice partly because of the waning budget and partially because of changes made to the original storyline which I feel were a bit detrimental. In any case if this is a long tv series like were hoping it shouldn't matter because they'll be able to redo all the old scenes with new animation and the newer storylines as well. I can't wait to see what their going to do with the post day X storylines, it should be pretty cool.

Anyway what I'm wondering about is who it is that's actually making the anime? Is this the same animation company that did the original oavs or someone new? One way or another I'd like to find out more about what other stuff they did so I know what to expect here.

Armageddon - March 29, 2005 05:55 AM (GMT)
Well, isn't this a shocking piece of info? After seeing the 12 ep anime, I was kinda disapointed that it ended there, especially after i joined the WG.com message board and learned of all the Guyver goodness that took place in the comics but was never seen in the anime.

Hopefully now, if this is a muti part series, it'll tell more.

WOOT!

weltall2 - March 29, 2005 07:12 PM (GMT)
From what I have read WOWOW is doing the animation these are the same people who did anime like Soultaker and other action packed anime. So I am not to worried on that front.

Mr Zektoll - March 29, 2005 07:24 PM (GMT)
Ahh thats good, I thought soultaker was decently good. The directing in that was nice too and since they already did a guyveresque anime they will probably do a good job here.

Omega WEAPON - March 29, 2005 07:50 PM (GMT)
I hate to be the cynical bitch, but unfortunately, I'm not holding my breath on this. But, maybe this accounts for why it's taking Takaya so long to put out the next book...I can imagine signing off the rights takes a lot of paperwork...

Teknoguyver - March 29, 2005 09:33 PM (GMT)
dude soultaker rocked on so many levels. if their the ones doing the new guyver then it's going to be sweet.

weltall2 - April 3, 2005 08:21 PM (GMT)
Yes Soultaker rocked, but I had my complaints about it.

But just imagine the psychologically driven animation they will drum out with respect to Guyver. My prayers have been answered.

I agree with Omega, I'm not building myself up for a massive failure when this comes out. I'll set my expectations low so that if it does actually turn out I can be happy and if it burns horribly I won't feel like its the end of the world either.

http://www.wowow.co.jp/anime/guyver/

A friend of mine saw this on another forum called 'Gundam Universe'. He informed me that this is a remake of the original guyver series, but this time the series wont stop at episode 12 like the old series did. This means that the new guyver series could go up to episode 50 or even episode 60 if we are lucky!

There is even a trailer on it and so far, its very sweet. ;)

Riven - July 19, 2005 03:40 PM (GMT)
Um..... Ash...... Its been general knowledge about the new serise for around three or months now

Teknoguyver - July 19, 2005 04:04 PM (GMT)
been there, done that. still waiting on the t-shirt to be put out.

the news has been out for sometime. check theguyver.net for most of the info on it.

Mr Zektoll - July 19, 2005 04:55 PM (GMT)
It's supposed to be 26 episodes and go up to book 10. Maybe they'll do more if its popular though.

Guyver Ashtaron - July 19, 2005 10:52 PM (GMT)
And I only just found out it today.... T_T Give me a break..

Teknoguyver - July 19, 2005 11:08 PM (GMT)
*pats ashtron on shoulder* there, there. even i have been behind on events at one time.

thanks for trying though.

Gall_4185 - August 7, 2005 02:31 AM (GMT)
Having seen the first episode(even though I couldn't understand it) I'm not dissappointed in the slightest. I tried to keep my expectations low but every new image or screenshot just got me more and more hyped for it.

I'm happy with it,the first two minutes had my jaw lowered considerably

Teknoguyver - August 7, 2005 09:50 AM (GMT)
how they heck did you get to see it so soon?

Riven - August 7, 2005 10:12 AM (GMT)

Riven - October 5, 2005 12:53 PM (GMT)
GB, its already been released in Japan

So America, Australia and the rest of the world will probably get it a couple of months afters it finished showing over there

guyver_reborn - October 5, 2005 03:56 PM (GMT)
A couple of months for America and Australia maybe, but in the UK these things usually take years....believe me

Gall_4185 - October 5, 2005 04:33 PM (GMT)
Ah,the joys of torrent and srt for the impatient folks

guyver's bane - October 6, 2005 11:34 AM (GMT)

That has happened with some anime, however while there is a possibility of it being put into one big collection, I doubt the whichever dubbing company picks up the rights - most likey ADV - will do that, due mostly to the sales records of the original serise.

Its well noted that Guyver originally was a series that apealed to a specific class of anime fans.

Now its been god only knows how many years since the original OVA serise and the OVA movie, the dubbing companies are gonna learn from the things originally learnt about this series. They're gonna take note of the fact that it was originally and mostly fans of sci-fi anime that brought this series, so this time around they know that by releasing it in single dvd volumes, fans that arent really into the Guyver type of thing may start collecting it, knowing that they dont have to spend large sum of money straight away, they can take their time collecting the show while they focus on the shows that they're really into.

In short

Immediate boxset 15% chance
Single DVD release 85% chance

Bloodfang - October 10, 2005 06:35 PM (GMT)
I'm not that good at math but it looks like it's going to be single dvds which come to think of it is even better because it means you can buy one or two and decide if you like them or not but later you know they are going to release box sets of like the first season or saga.
