Man I just got mine last night and I gotta say it Rocks. And no I didn't steal it, the gamestop in my area was very nice in allowing us poor pining PSP'ers to get them at Midnight since that is when they were officially released.

Anyway back to the meat of the matter the PSP. Yeah its great it allows you to comunicate with other PSP's and the sweetest featue that I love Game shareing that mean you don't even have to buy the game as long as there is a PSP in close enough proximity or you have a PC internet conection. I know that sucks for us Mac users. However that also bring me to another function of the PSP internet connection you can access the net in almost any possible way, not to mention downloading vid clips pics or mp3 files. So who want's to weigh in on this topic all lines are open.

So can you use the current PS CDs in it or do you need new ones? I know it's a stupid questions but I heard that ye may need to rebuy some game titles in order to play it.

Those arent the PS3 Tekno, they're just a new model PS2, like how they brought out the smaller version of the PSOne when the PS2 was released.

As for your question Kaiser, I'm 99.9% sure that you have to buy new games as the PSP uses mini disks like the Nintendo Gamecube

Riven is right you do have to buy new games. However there is a good reason for this. I figured it our when I first opened the disk slot, in order to make it as compact as it is they had to design a disk that conforms with that scheme. The disk is enclosed in a plastic shell though there is a hole where dirt and such can get inside so you are going to want to get protective cases for your UMD's though this only aplies to the soft ware that comes in the box.

Also this thing is really compact at about 6 1/2 in. long and 3 1/2 in. wide, and a 1/2 inch deep this thing is no game gear by any strech of the imagination. Also I have compared the 2 systems and the PSP wins out hands down over the Nintendo DS. I know there are some fanatics out there who disagree, but after a through analysis in terms of graphics, sound, applications, and the easy accessiblity and simple, but efficient control panel the PSP is just subilme.

I've sampled both the DS and the PSP

And while I had serious doubts about the DS, I will admit I was wrong and will eventually get one when the price goes down. As for the PSP, well I will admit its pretty good, but Sony have a long way to go before they can even dent the hold Nintendo has on the handheld consol franchise, and plus I have seen some disturbing footage of a person playing the PSP and the game erecting out the consol like a projectile almost.

I'm certainly going ot wait a hell of a lot longer to get a PSP then I will be to get a DS, not just because this footage but because of the fact that they are going to be ridiculously expensive when they hit the market out here. (The local video game shop managed to get there hands on a PSP from America or Japan)
