Interesting... wonder if anyone will start a rpg using dice?

The problem with dice rolling programs is that there's almost no way to verify that people got what they say they got.. Sure some of them do give you a link to you results so that other people can check, but all you have to do to get around that is to keep resetting the program untill you get the results you want..

However, I've seen alot of rpg forums where they do use dice (alot of Dnd ones HAVE to use dice of some sort, for example) and the players don't use the dice rollers themselves, but the Game master does all the dice rolling himself... I could see that working.

As for letting people all roll thier own dice? I don't trust some of our members enough not to try and fudge the system, myself included.

The problem with the game master rolling all the dice would sort of be an inflation of one of the problems we had in battle cube where bloodstorm needed to make the second post per page in that if the game master is busy or lazy or something the rpg will slow down pretty quickly. As for the players rolling the dice some players probably wouldn't be trust worthy and orthers like myself would be too lazy to actually find dice and just pretend to use them.

Well Z, to solve that problem we would just have to make sure the GM is reliable... and trustworthy.
