in the middle of a cliff side road at the dead of night the air began to swirl and shimmer just before a burst of light spat out two figures locked in deadly combat. as if unaware of the change in surroundings the two figures conteniued to trade blows back in forth.
both figures wore what looked like medieval armor. one in black armor with firey red lines runing up both his arms and legs. the from of a firebird was tattooed into the chest armor. the other was in midnight blue armor, with silver highlights, sharp black fang markings on his arms and legs and twin hardened wolf head shoulder pads.
the black figure seemed to be carrying a box of some sort under one arm and both knights held a sword.
a strike to the head opened the black knight to a savage strike to the chest from the blue knights wicked looking sword. black knights chest erupted with sparks and flame as advanced mirocircuts in the armor were destroyed.
the blue knight wasted no time in taking advantage of his weakened prey and threw his sword, spearing his prey throw the chest. this time it wasn't just sparks that filled the air.
the black knights body fell limply to the ground with a sicking wet thud and the box that he held skided across the pavement.
not even looking at the fallen corpse of his prey the blue knight picked up the box and opened.
the resounding howl of rage that followed moments later was testament to the fact that the box had long sense been emptyed of his contents.
crushing the box in his rage the blue knight once more opened the portal and seped through.
2 hours later the body of a john doe was checked into the city morgue and an hour after that it disappeared.
