--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ello people,Blood brought ti to my attention that we hadn't changed the rules when we brought them over,so guess what I'm doing?

Another thing that will be modified is the penalty system, Here's how the new penalty system will work.

Penalty level 1( Something minor like a continuity error even though you knew it was wrong ) Warning level increase of one point

Penalty level 2- Same as above but of a higher magnitude such as wasting space and arguing with another member. grounding of 1 day to one week depending on the severity of the error or argument. Wanring level increase of three points

Penalty level 3- Ban from RPG's, also as of now the mods of this section have the ability to ban people , and we will do so if we feel its nessecery.

Here is another revision, If a person makes repeated penalty level 1 offenses within a period of 1 month they'll recieve a three day account suspension. More than that and the Admins will discuss the matter and decide on punishment. Warning levels will derease after a month of good behaviourat a rate of one point per clean month

Most of these rules are the same as before but now the sort of penalty associated with breaking that rule will be listed here.

1. Do not kill anyone else’s character without their creators permission, if you do, you get a third level penalty. Unless they use the "outrageous character act of 1792" see below- Or under the rules of the individual RPG

2. Unless you have permission, do not use someone’s character out of context, at all. This can be any of the three penalties depending on how badly you play their character out of context.

3. If you intend on joining an RPG you better know exactly was going on. You must be able to continue the continuity of the RPG with your own posts. If you are falling behind and aren’t sure what to post PM one of the mods involved in the RPG and we will give you a synopsis of what has happened. This will either be penalty 1 or 2 depending on how bad the continuity error. If your a first time offender in this area you'll only get a warning.

4. Subplots are great to have in an RPG but they must work out logically. If not and they begin to erode the continuity of the RPG it will be taken out to avoid further confusion. Penalty 1 or 2 depending on the impact of the situation

5. When interacting with other characters in your post, and I specifically mean dialogue wise, keep them in character. Do not give them lines that would never be said by the other person’s RPG. If you aren’t sure how the other character would react, PM them and ask them about it, or leave your RPG post as an open ended question to which the other character will answer. Penalty 1

6. Your post must have both quality and quantity. For quality I expect it to be well written, it takes a few seconds to double check for spelling and such, we will not be hard asses on that but if it looks like a four year old wrote it…As for quantity, your post must be more then just one line of dialogue and a sentence. That makes it very difficult to work from there. Please make it a fair size. Penalty 1

7. If you are going away, and you want someone to ‘baby sit’ your character, PM someone, or a Mod. However, depending on how long you are gone give that person something to work with. What I mean is write up a page long bit about how your character reacts, what they are currently going through, what they should be doing now, etc. I expect to see no more whining about characters not used if someone has a leave of absence of the RPG forum. Penalty 1 or 2, it depends on how important your character is to the rpg. At the very least ask an Admin to just keep an eye on your character

8. When battling with other RPG characters, read their DF, VERY, VERY carefully. Do no beat the other person’s character into the ground with your foot. The only way that would happen is if one character was an ant and the other was a bear. When writing up a battle give the other character in your post a fair chance and knock your character around as well, your post should not be one sided. Penalty 2

9.If you start an rpg and can't continue for some reason, you should do one of the following. Tell someone what your plans for the rpg are so it can continue or make it clear you don't care how people mess around with your story line when your gone. This way we can avoid having rpgs that just stop like unkarian rising. I understand that sometimes you may not be able to contact us about this for one reason or another. If this is the case just tell us.This also applies to not fully concluding an rpg in its end phase. Otherwise its penalty 2.

10. If you have a ramotith he shouldn't be able to beat up a guyver. If your character is weaker make sure he fights at the level of his strength
otherwise update their data file. Penalty 1 or 2 depending on the difference in power between characters.

11, The admins don't like people to advertise rpgs on other boards here, keep it in the links section or PMs. This is a special case where
you'll get an automatic 2 strikes.

12. Try and avoid double posts, but as long as it adds to the rpg we don't really care.If an RPG was been quiet due to a major upgrade and plot advancement, the creator may double post. This is also true when an rpg creator needs to draw attention to some changes in the rpg structure

13. All character upgrades need to make logical sense. You can't just go upgrade just because you feel like it there needs to be a logical reason. penalty 2

14. Some RPG's have specialised rules made by their creators. For example , no characters over a certain level of power. If you violate any of these specialised rules set down by the rpg creator, automatic level 2 penalty.

15. Abide by the physical rules of the rpg your in. For example, if you create an explosion the size of ten super novas, it'll vaporize the solor system it's in so you can't just have that happen with no effect. This rule doesn't apply to comedy releif characters like Zero or characters who can warp reality on some level like Discord or the professor. But for all other sorts of characters it'll be penalty 1.

16. This is a special rule I call "The outragous character act of 1792" if someone has a rediculous character whos heads above everyone else in power, they'll have 2 options. 1, they can lower the power to a level that will satisfy both the creator of the rpg and myself or will depending on whos involved, and stop being rediculous. Or they can decide to keep being rediculous. If they do that however the other players will be given the option to kill this persons character without being penalized. A good example of the sort of character that this may be used on is Cyber from the cronos rpg. This rule doesn't applie to plot device characters like Avestriel, Discord or Manifest. Only to main player characters like Cyber who are being overly munchkin for no good reason.

17. users cannot share accounts on this part of the board. There as several reasons why. 1 , this could be used as a possible way to avoid penaltys, and 2 you never know who your talking to. People caught doing this will receive a level 3 penalty.

18. Keep RPG's in the RPG section, I got some complaints about people bringing chibi RPG's into the fanart section, so don't do that. level 1 penalty

19. No DBZ length fights, this isn't the freeza saga and certainly not the freaking Buu saga, keep fight times to a reasonable length. level 1 or 2 penalty

20. No "mine is bigger then yours" style fights , this is when everyones trying to prove whos character is more badass and their constantly beating on each other and getting in the way of the story. level 2 penalty

21. Logical battle resolutions, if the good guys are in a disorganised mess they aren't going to wipe the floor with the badguys in just a few posts after they have been preparing a huge organised fighting force. Penalty 2

Okay, I've been a moderator for a while, and I've yet to add to this, so here were go with BloodStorm's list of obvious, yet oftian overlooked guidelines to live by.

1. First of all, this IS a guyver board, so all rpg's should have some sort of guyver influance. This doesn't mean we need guyvers in all our rpg's, as that could get dull fast, but they need something influanced by Takaya's work that occours on a semi regular basis.
Be it as simple as people turning into monsters, or something like a powered mechanical suit that resembles the Guyver we know in love.

2. If your going to use characters/weapons/technology created by other people, make sure you give them credit. This goes double so for the writers at WarriorGuyver.com. They're all nice people, and most of the time won't care if you use it, as long as you give them credit for the creation.

3. If your going to play with a character/weapon/ technology from outside the rpg, make sure you have permission from that rpg's creator. If your not sure who that is, PM one of the moderators. This rule is set up becuase not every universe needs a warrior guyver in it. Infact most rpg's would work better that way. This may be the warrior guyver forum, but that doesn't mean we want half a million warrior guyver's running around in the rpg's.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Datafile Rules
(Orininaly writen by Kaiser Dragoon while he was a mod, Then reposted by TheGuyversWill with no credit given what-so-ever, dispite the fact that not a single word was changed)

Within the context of role play, the abilities and limitations of a character, are as enriching as the story itself. Too much power within a plot, can add to confusion, and distaste amongst those involved. It is the ruling of this board that each character involved within a Role Play plot, should have a data file. Data files are present for comparative uses, and so that you, the player, do not step above your characters own statue of limitations.

Here is what you need on them!

Subject's Name
Code Name if you so choose
Classification of your character
Height
Weight
Physical Description of all forms seen. Be brief though, do a full one in the RPG itself.
Strength
Speed
Agility, which can also be considered Reflex time and the like
Hypersensory range
Durability
Then List ALL WEAPONS and descriptions of those weapons!
Ultimate Attacks if your character has any
Unique Abilities, anything that your character does that no other characters can

Also if it is a different type of RPG, the creator should be the first one to post RPG Data Files and everyone else should follow by example.

I edited the above post to take out something that I always thought had no place in the rules section. See if you can tell the differance..

Gall_4185 - July 20, 2004 10:56 PM (GMT)
Further more,If we decide to stop a RPG for any reason, we (the Admins) shall need one of two things

1-The approval of the RPG's creator

or

2-An agreement between two or more of the Admins to close it.

This way we can't be accused of abusing our powers, nor of letting sacred materials being sullied by some well-meaning rp-ing

Luego,

Kris
