A Long time ago in a Galaxy far, far away
Star Wars

Universal Balance

4,000 years before the Battle of Yavin and the destruction of the first Death Star, the galaxy was finishing the arduous task of rebuilding itself after the treacherous rebellion of a former Jedi Knight, Exar Kun. The years after Kun’s betrayal had been only lightened by the redemption of Kun’s former apprentice, Ulic Qel-Droma. Despite the numerous defection by those who followed Kun, the Jedi Order remains Strong enough to support to Jedi Academies, one on Coruscant and the other on Dantoonie. Many young Jedi find that they will spend time on both training grounds during the course of their studies.

Existing towards the outer rim in stark contrast with the bustling cityscape of Coruscant, Dantoonie is where many prospective Jedi faced their final trials. One class group is now approaching their padawan trials, a class group which could well decide the fate of the galaxy

For beyond Republic space, warriors stir from peace and ready their campaign of hate and fury against a foe far greater than any force they could possibly muster. As the galaxy approaches a critical point in its history, how will the actions of a few potential Jedi slide the balance?

As the red sun of Dantoonie set behind the rolling hills of the plains surrounding the Jedi Enclave, a lone figured lowered the hood of his ebon robes to reveal haunting blue eyes set in a face marred by a thin arcing scar crossing the right side of his face. A slight motion of his hand opened the Enclave doors without need for contact. Twin sabers rested on the belt clips at his hips as he walked with purpose to a room in the second sublevel. A console in this secluded room flared to life as the doors closed and a sound dampening field came online with a slight hum as a trio of training droids activated from the corner. Revan grinned as he activated his flaming orange sabers, coloured so because of the unique level of attunment he had strived for. Each of the training droids marched forth to face the confident soon to be Jedi as he spoke…

“Computer, set training droids to level 9”

WarriorZoalord - February 26, 2005 10:40 AM (GMT)
Chunai sat in his room, sitting in the middle of his room, legs folded infront of him as he meditated. He could feel the power of the council members put in charge of the training academ and wondered if he would ever atain that rank, he could also sense the power eminating from Revan as he faced the training droids and was awed by it. Hsi body relaxed as he let the force flow through him, refreshing his body after a long day of training. He also meditated to get rid of the frustration he felt with his training, he knew that it would be hard to keep his anger in check, but he must if he wishes to walk the path of a jedi.

After a long while of meditating he got up and stretched a bit before he walked out of his room, desciding to wander the area as he hardly ever left the enclave. He wondered what he might find besides Kath Hounds, but he knew it could be dangerous to go by himself, but he just wanted to get out and get some fresh air, being couped up in the academy all the time was bad.

OOC: WOOT, got third post ^^

IC:

As the red sun sunk lower and lower, soft and gentle melody lifted up into the air, the soft tune carried on the gentle breeze as the lone figure sat silently on the boulder next to the stream, the sounds of running water adding something to the sound of the tune played by the lone jedi that sat there, eyes closed as the warrior focused on the song. The breeze blowing about the Jedi's long, beaded pony tails, the rising moon causing the young Jedi to take on a ghostly appearance thanks to the Jedi's light complexion.

Scyra continued to play the song as the moon lifted bit by bit into the sky, before finally stopping the song and just sitting there calmly, staring at the water that reflected the moon's rays of light, casting an almost magical glow around the small area. Scyra did not like most men, though he stood at an average height of five foot nine, Scyra look like a woman, with long blue hair and a slender fingure, and soft feminine voice, it was hard to believe that he was a guy. This didnt bother him though, he had learnt at a very young age that looks werent what made a person.

Scyra stood up silently, long slender arms at his sides as his long dark blue hair bellowed softly in the breeze, his eyes closed and his breathing suddenly becoming more controlled as he focused on the force. Slowly, around him a ring of rocks rised up, circling around him as he lifted them with the force. Then slowly he lowered them back to the ground and his breathing returned to normal has his eyes opened.

Having released some of the extra energy he had, Scyra let a quiet yawn escape from his mouth and started back towards the Academy to turn in for the night.

Not long later, Scyra entered his room, untying the sash around his kimono and removing the light clothing before laying down his bed, not bothering to remove his form fitting suit before pulling the covers over him.

"I wonder what tomorrow will bring" he wondered softly as he slowly drifted off to sleep.

Gall_4185 - February 26, 2005 04:23 PM (GMT)
Revan ducked as the first energy blade seared through the air as he parried behind his back before twisting to cut off an attack from the second droid. His twin blades worked furiously to keep the two droids at bay, with them on such a high skill level he might even have to break a sweat. One blade sliced low to force the first droid back a step as the third drove in to try and force an opening. Never one to be caught truly unaware,Revan kicked out against the third, the metallic surface was then used to propel him into a back flip. even while airborne, the young warrior kept his blades in motion

Training droid 2I-S6 aimed to catch the airborne Jedi as he landed, but a flash of fiery orange crossed his photo-receptors and his weapon arm clattered to the tiled floor. A second flash crossed a second later, slicing through the durasteel plating on his chassis. One down, two to go thought the future Jedi.

3j-s6 and 5d-7T recognised the gleam on Revan's face, and knew that this encounter was lost. Even their advanced tactical 'brains' recognised that any hope of success against a foe this skilled relied on all three droids being active to complete their strategy. Revan dived forward, faster than calculated but both droids blocked the incoming attacks in time, only for the attacks to prove to be feints. A sudden twist of his hips and Revan's true attacks fell from behind the droids, severing their skeletal frames.
"computer, unlock doors and deactivate dampening field." Revan commanded before striding off to bed,a single bead of sweat running down his forehead...

Nothing can be worse than being caught off-guard, that is what Drester dreads most of the time atleast. He sits inside a local cantina near a civilian enclave not far from where the jedi enclave is. He is sipping on a glass of Jura Jura Juice, looking around as he notices some armoured guy step into the bar, looking around for someone. Drester ignores that guy for now and keeps sipping on his glass before he finds his glass blown off his hand from a blaster fire, staring at his empty hand as some jump and backs away.

"You there!" The armoured foe says, walking towards him slowly as he cracks a wicked grin, "I have been looking for you over sixteen systems! Finally I can collect your head and my reward..." Drester starts laughing, turning towards him as he says, "The only thing you find is two holes going through you.. I beg you to differ, before you end up in deep trouble with me young man.."

This pisses the armoured guy off, "What the hell did you say you little ass??!" Drester in the meanwhile moves his hand towards one of his heavy blaster holstered very close to his waist.

"I said that you better run."

"In hell I will...! DIE!!"

Suddenly a barrage of blaster fires echoes out of the cantina, forcing several people to take cover as the three first blaster bolts strokes the walls behind the scout. Instantly, Drester pulls his heavy blaster while he flips to the side, aiming the blaster at the head of his foe and fires off a heavily overcharged blast that cleanly blows a burnt hole through the skull, causing the body to fall backwards flatly with a loud thud. The scout lands on his feet, blowing the smoke out of his barrel before holstering it and tossing a pair of coins to the bartender as he says, "I think I had enough drinks for now.. Here's the payment for the mess."

He then strides out of the cantina, a sweatbead or two seen as he had a really close call there. But who have sent that mercenary after him and why? He decides to find that out, either by himself or not.

OOC: Just curious, but all the jedi starting on dantooine would know eachother, wouldnt they?

IC: Chunai walked out the main door to the academy and walked along the perimiter. Having just meditated he was wide awake, and wouldnt need sleep for a long time, he had learnt how to use most of the refreshing techniques early in hsi training. He looked over towards the setting sun and knew it would be getting dark soon, but that didn't worry him, he was Cathar, he could see as good in low light as he could during the day.

His wanderings took him father and farther from the academy as the sun finished setting. It only took moments for his eyes to adjust to the low light that settled across the area as he stopped walking, realizing that his walking took him close to one of the nearby settlements. A slight frown crossed his face as he turned around, knowing that some of the people in this settlement didn't like him purely for the fact that he was Cathar, but as he started walking away he could sense a person nearby that seemedto be heavily agitated over something. He descided to wait and see where this person was going, if they came his way, he could try helping them, if not he figured he'd just head back to the academy to practice for a while.

OOC: This post is mostly to give Sparky a helping hand as he' was having trouble coming up with ideas. ^_^

IC:

It was the early hours of the next morning and as always Scyra was up and dressed and sitting at the small desk in they all had in their rooms, a cup of hot tea in one hand and holding a saucer beneath it with his other hand as he read over a holo news report to see what had been happening of late, but nothing new had really developed, but then again, no bad news was good news.

After finishing his tea, he grabbed his lightsaber and placed it into the sleeves of his kimono and left his room, feeling the need to stretch his legs. Soon he was walking down the halls of the level where the training rooms were and was only feeling out lightly with his force powers when he sensed someone in the training rooms, and got the certain sense that they were struggling with something.

Using the force he masked his presence and slipped into the room undetected and found a young man standing in a strange stance that looked neither practical or comfortable, and amount of sweat pouring of the young warriors forehead showed that he was concentrating rather strongly

Scyra noticed the young man's blind fold and suddenly knew who this person was, having remembered from descriptions years ago about someone at the acadmey who was practically blind for all extensive purposes. Montoya, the young man's name was.

Slowly Scyra let his presence felt though Montoya was concentrating so hard on what he was doing that he didnt even notice anyway. Scyra sat down against the wall and slowly made his presence more noticeable, enough to catch the young warrior's attention.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Montoya asked calmly, breathing heavily as he caught his breath.

"My name is Scyra, and you should probably know that if you're going to persist on doing something with that stance you should lift you right knee a bit and put a bit more pressure on your left heel, that way you break something when you try to use that stance" Scyra said kindly, before quietly leaving and heading up to the mess hall to get some breakfast.

OOC: Yeah WZ,most of this year's students will know each other.

IC:

Morning found Revan fully alert despite having not truly slept. He had taken a control cluster from one of the training droids and was adding a final training protocol, upping the difficulty to what would be classed as level 10. Considering these droids were originally equipped with only 5 difficulty levels,Revan had taken to adding more protocols to test his skills. Now he had surpassed his latest addition to their programming and was trying to increase the tactical package and combat skills. Tools were extended from his computer bracer as he finished increasing the difficulty, Sealing the control Cluster he raised it into the air using the force and levitated it about six inches ahead of him as he returned to the training room...

Revan had re-installed the control cluster and was now spreading the new difficulty setting through the other training droids via the control panel when a gruff voice sounded off behind him "Apprentice Revan, just what do you think you are doing with these highly sensitive training droids? Trying to sabotage a fellow student's progress are you? I'll have you before the council for this"

"Ah,Master Vrook what a pleasant surprise. I was not attempting to sabotage anything,on the contrary I was upgrading the AI protocols for combat in the training droids as I seem to have surpassed all current levels despite having modified them to include more complex routines already. These factory standard droids came with five levels of complexity for attack routines. If you check the computer console now you will see there are ten levels. Feel free to test any of the droids in one on one combat to test run my handiwork" Revan smiled ever so slightly as the gruff Jedi master reached for his sabre while Revan activated one droid and stepped off the practise mat "Computer, set droid to level 7,we'll start you off easy Master Vrook"

Revan calmly watched as the Jedi Master faced off against a level 7 attack and defence routine, parrying accurately and working the defences of the droid. Finally he cut inside the droid's sabre beam and scored a clean hit on the chassis of the droid. "Well done Master Vrook,a reasonable time for besting a level seven droid but nowhere near my best for a single level nine"
"And just what do you mean by that you impudent child,I should teach you a lesson in Duelling for your arrogance" Vrook was almost shouting by this point.

Revan focused on the wooden training weapons hanging on a wall bracket and levitated a pair of sabre like poles, taking one for himself before offering one to Vrook. taking firm grip of his weapon as Vrook set himself into his stance, blade held away from his body. Revan in contrast held his blade low and close to his leg, easily parrying as Vrook chopped downward. moving into a spiral attack,Revan forced Vrook back as he tried to pick a weakness in the attack sequence. Just when he thought he had found one,Revan dropped out of his spin and caught Vrook on the wrist with a solid hit. Revan's blade came straight up to rest under the Jedi Master's chin. "I concede" Vrook proclaimed through gritted teeth "But I will be advising the council about your illegal tampering with Academy Droids" With that Vrook stormed out nursing a bruised wrist and an even worse bruise to his ego...

OOC: Thanks Rive ol bud, I appreciate it. Now that i'm here time for me to go pshycho and kill you all :v: na just joking

IC:
Montoya inwardly smiled, Scyra was right in his advice but he was maintnaing this posture because of the force it put on his body to become more flexible. If he moved into the stance Scyra suggested it would have been easiar, the pressure on his back and upper shoulers would have broken someone else by now but Montoya was constantly on the goal to reach the epitome of his skill and was constantly streiving to improve pushing aside dis-comfort.

The stretched trainer came back on his arms lifting his body back coming round slowly and fluidly to a perfect stand on his feet, slowly some random objects round the room also returned to the floor and Montoya flexed his arms round moving his shoulder blades to straighten them. In slowing grace he leaned back going onto his hands in a completely vertical point and moved his legs into the splits before rotating round two full turns and using his back as a brace to come from a roll back to his hands and sprung to his feet again.

He picked up a small peice of cloth and wiped his face before putting his robes back on over his tunic and walked out having completed his flexing and meditation. Montoya decided he would take a break from the enclave and head out to see the civilain ares round the area, his meditation had been commenced when he got here and he felt like a change of environment, after which he may get some rest as the trials where about to start............

Beyond the outer reaches of Republic Space

A race which existed purely for the glory and honour of war had been beaten back, reduced to just their ferocity and their weapons after the loss of their leader in the Exar Kun Wars. Now a new leader had risen from the ashes of war to re-unite the clans under then banner of Mandalore, gathering his forces for a new war,one which would be the greatest war\r in the history of the clans. as he formed his plan in his mind,a though occurred to him...he would send an envoy to the Sith

Dantooine

Morning sun gleamed off his skull as Malak strode through the academy. Younger pupils cowered as his massive frame crossed their paths, his heavily customised sabre hilt hung on his hip as he continued his search for Revan. His limited force awareness prevented him from even discerning which direction Revan would be in,especially amongst so many force sensitives. Malak had finally spotted Revan's distinctive black cloak when someone thudded into his chest. Stepping back Malak was almost growling as he spoke
"Why don't you watch where you're going run...oh never mind" Malak's voice trailed off as he recognised Montoya, the blind Jedi. He was saved further embarrassment for two reasons. Firstly Montoya had truly not been paying attention to his surroundings,he was staring off to one side. Malak followed his gaze and found that the blind Jedi was paying attention to Revan's movements. Secondly Revan noticed his friend and started to walk towards Montoya and Malak.

Montoya Zaitochi would have duelled for his honour following such comments on any other day. But this was the first time he had encountered Revan. The sheer presence of this young Jedi almost filled him with awe,the connection to the force blotting out all around like a star being born. For a combat master who relied on the force this had a double meaning. This man could be a master at the dance of blades and secondly that he must duel against him. After voicing his desire to spar against Revan, the two headed back the way Revan had just came from. Revan could never pass up an opportunity to test his skills and improve them. Walking behind the pair,Malak only shook his head at the personal magnetism displayed by his friend.

Revan took up the wooden blade and gripped it in his left hand as he observed Montoya do the same. The masked and blind Jedi saluted with his weapon as he prepared to dance. "You seem a decent fellow,I'd hate to kill you"

"You seem a decent fellow,I'd hate to die" came the causal retort

Korriban: Sith Academy

Jolan Uln,Sith Lord and master for the Sith Academy, sneered with contempt at the Mandalorian envoy as he delivered the message from Mandalore himself. Until the Mandalorian Leader claimed he was under greater orders himself, and that the coming conflict would present a unique opportunity for corrupting and destroying the Jedi. His interest piqued,he signalled for this year's Sith graduates and beckoned for them to sit in council with him. Among st them were a pair of human females,an introverted Falleen,a pair of human twins and the Human seeming Uthar Wyndd.
"Do tell me more of our dear Mandalore's plans" he almost purred with anticipation

Tydorei Belouve - March 2, 2005 12:15 AM (GMT)
In the infirmary a soft luminous blue light sweaped out of Tayi's hand. She laid her hand on an Apprentice's discolored, swollen ankle. The ankle returned to its normal size and color quickly. Tayi knew the ankle was completely healed but wrapped a bandage around it anyway.

"Thank you" the apprentice said nodding to the smiling Tayi before leaving.

"Another supreb heal Tayi." the Jedi Master overseeing the infirmary mentioned

"Oh..." Tayi said fiddling with her robe. Then spoting Master Vrook "Oh hello Master Vrook. What brings you here?"

"Hello Tayi. I came to see how your training is coming along. Show me what you can do with this." Vrook said holding out arm showing a discolored and semi swollen wrist.

"How you get that injury Vrook." the infirmarys oversear asked as Tayi proceded to heal the it

Vrook looked uncomfiterble. "I was dueling... with Revan." the last part caught the oversear's attention

"Revan... yes... He is becoming quite a remarkable Jedi."

"He isn't a Jedi yet." Vrook said with slight distaste "We will see how he fairs in the trails."Tayi was about to bandage Vrooks wrist but he held up his hand. "No need. Your healing is excellent. You should concentrate on your weaker abilities."

Tayi knew he meant her combat skills. She set out for the training rooms. She figured it wouldn't hurt to freshen up her mediocre saber skills. She really needed to, she was sure combat would be part of the trails. She entered the training rooms dreadfully.

She checked the console to select the droids she will fight and their level. She tilted her head curiously. The droids had two times as many difficuly levels than the last time she came here. Tayi admittied to herself that she hasn't been in here for awhile but this was really unexpected. Had the other students become such great swordsmen that this was nessesary? Tayi was still on level three droids.

Butterflies filling her stomach, Tayi was about to set it up to fight three level four droids when she felt a strong pressence in the next room. She knew it was Revans. Tayi decided to see why the Jedi Masters were so interested in Revan and left without training in combat at all happy for an excuse not to fight. She entered the room Revan was in seeing he was about to dual a blind folded Apprentice, the towering Malak peering at them. This would be interesting to watch.

Sparky - March 2, 2005 02:50 AM (GMT)
"Have you studied long" said Montoya with final bow

"15 years, Begin" said Revan mimcing the bow and he leaned forward in a controlled swipe which Montoya leaned to the side avoiding and leanly skipped back simultaniously bringing up his sword to parry another blow whic he countered but revan swiped away quickly before moving round. The pair lunged round as Montoya made a low directed sweep that Revan leapt over and moved his sword in a wider arc making a strike that Montoya also moved away from to the side coming round in a single open arm swing that reached out as his body turned but Revan had landed and managed to parry it before kicking out lightly which Montoya avoided by sending his body sideways as it left the ground and he revolved with his weapon before ladning and backing out.

Revan grinned as it meant going up a stage and moved in a bit faster now and Montoya inwardly smiled as Revan easily got the point and both went at it with more energy now, they're movements were much faster and any strokes could easily be missed by anyone watching if they blinked. Revan went in a for a fast swing at the feet which Montoya lightly jumped to avoid bringing his wooden weapon down at the same time but Revan countered as he keept the swipe in motion and brought his body round with it half way so the sword blocked the vertical swing after which he set out to counter with a series of fast controlled horizontal cuts but as one passed Montoya moved in for a fast counter attack and kicked out from the side lightly, Revan was kick and met the foot with his own pushing each other back equally but both rushed in again and once more faster this time as the sparring continued.

Montoya was concentrating hard through the glare from Revan, his sense being tuned to cut through it. He had some idea now why the Jedi masters were interested in him but it also sharpened his own skill, being able to go in a sparring match like this helped him realise ways he could sharpen his senses and gradually he was pulling down the flash from Revan but there was no way he could blot it all out just yet. The folded fighter leaped up from the ground slightly and rotated round miltuples of times keeping his sword well placed as Revan was forced to flip back from the assault without use of his hands landing on his feet. and a series of attacks and parry's once more let on, "You are wonderful"

"Thank you, I've worked very hard to become so" came the reply from Montoya.

"I admit it you almost better than I" came a grinning Revan

"Then why are you smiling" came the reply and advance from Montoya as he pushed forward.

"Because I know something you do not"

"And what's that"

"I am not left handed" came a casual response from Revan as his sword switched hands simutaniously sweeping Montoya next stroke far to the side and he advanced. Montoya had to back up slowly but steadily until it became apparant Revan was far out matching him and his sword was flicked from his hand high upwards. Montoya leapt just as high for it and caught the weapon before landing, too high even for a Jedi. Revan realised there was a trick behind that manouvre and it wasn't just Montoyas apparant flexibility but he kept up the attack and mantained his clear upper hand, "Your amazing"

"I ought to be after fifteen years" said Revan as he pushed forward making a small attempt to finish it right there and there, he was almost dissappointed, he thought maybe his opponent was more skillfull.

"I also have a confession to make" said Montoya as he held against Revans forceful assault.

"Oh and whats that"

"I'm not left handed either" Montoya gave a strong forward push to make room and tossed the weapon into his other hand giving it two sharp swings before they started again and Revan found himself equal. Now the sparring had went to another stage once more and this time it's edge was almost surreal.

Montoya and Revan continued to go at it when they meet swords and Montoya leaned in, "Too basic, isn't it"

Revan never said anything but had a clear idea of what Montoya was hinting at him.

"Duel wield?" came the question and Revan grinned as Montoya got his answer and broke back, his sword turned to reverse grip in his right hand as he made an incredible fast series of single hand springs backwards towards the wall and off the mat, when he got to the wall a women was standing watching.

"Why do you wear a mask, where you scarred or burnt by acid or something like that" asked Tayi out of certainty to see if it was the blind apprentice she heard of.

"Oh no, it's just thats it's terrible comfortable, I think everyone will wear them in the future" Montoya replied as he tossed his sword back to the mat where Revan caught it and he got two from the wall and returned to the mat in three flips and Tayi took that answer as yes to her curiosity

This time it was truely happening, with two swords each and both being highly adept at using them the match had become almost urgent with more strokes, parry's and doges than anyone could follow with swings being preceded by sweeps back to swings onto blocks and evades..........

Korriban: Sith Academy

Everyone listened intently as the envoy spoke but he stuttered and paused often from the feeling round him at one point coming to a complete stop, almost as one the two human twins reached out they're right hands simutaniously towards the man. He was becoming tiresome and it would probaly be faster to forcibly remove the information aswell as more entertaining than listen for it, afterwards they could send they're own reply back to the Mandalorian, perhaps with they're envoy but no doubt they would notice the difference.

As his own self induced feeling of dread tore at his spine he could clearly feel a wave of insanity came at him and a grinding grip round his kneck as shock overtook from him from both and he was incapable of doing anything. However he was spared as mercy was laid on him, at least for now as it all lifted away from the envoy. Too ingrossed in his self destruction he hadn't noticed the graduates being bared off from harming him, maybe at least for now but at the time the envoy got the message and spewed out the information all the much more faster. His sense of escape now a clear motivation for the more timely delivary of his mission.

OOC: Sorry Tyde but I was just desperate to get someone or anything for that line B)

Sith Guyver - March 2, 2005 06:11 AM (GMT)
Sith Academy, Korriban:

Several Hours before the Mandalorian envoys arrival.

Conscripts and adepts moved down the halls in a seething mass. Malevolence flowed around them, almost tangible. Three younger students stood laughing across from the training room door, malicious smiles on their face’s. After a extensive period all three approached the door, in sinister anticipation, the eldest putting his ear to the door to detect any trace of sound.

A Durasteel blade pierced through the door, cutting deeply through the youths skin across his forehead. All three leapt away from the door. The blade was pulled back inside, Swipes were heard inside. Several seconds passed as 4 triangular metal slabs fell forward and crashed too the floor.

Valen Irelym stepped forward, his training robes were torn and spattered with blood. His hair contained bits of metal and chunks of bloody meat and hung before his eyes. His Dark green skin showed through his tattered and burned robes some deep gashes almost visible. As he stepped forward from the room the three younger students were cowed by fear. He left bloody foot prints behind himself, but very little of it was his own.

The eldest of the three managed to overcome his dark side influence and stood to run. Valen raised his arm gracefully and hurled the Blade after the youth. The sword was guided by the force finding it’s mark at the boys Achilles tendons, and dropping him too the floor.

The youth turned over just in time to see the life being drained from his compatriots, The life energy reinvigorating the reptilian humanoid whose skin flashed a deep red for but a moment. He noticed his classmates looked like lifeless bluish white hulks of flesh, soulless and lost. It’s attention soon flashed too him, as his terror expanded into a full scream of horror, one that could not be heard.

Clapping could be heard from far down the corridor, a hooded Robed man walked slowly down the hall. Malevolence seemed to radiate from the man, a crooked evil smile was all that was visible from underneath the hood. Valen kneeled and lowered his head slightly,

“Master Uln………..”

“Rise Valen, you have done well,” The Sith lord said.

“Yes master,” Valen said standing, leaving his head lowered.

“Most impressive, you destroyed 4 master level Duelist elites, 6 master level asps, 12 lethal remotes, and two Dark side Dragons,” Master Uln said slightly disappointed.

“Please excuse my folly master,” Valen said quickly.

“Dark side Dragons are hard to find,” He said with a hint of anger, “You know this.”
Valen nods not speaking, his body rigid and still.

“Meh, no matter,” The elder Sith stated, “I will allows this debacle to slide.”

Valen remains silent, his link to the force alerting him to something.

“Get changed into your ceremonial Robes and prepare to receive visitors, they will be here shortly.”

“Yes master.”

Sith Academy, Korriban:

Meeting with Mandalorian envoy.

Valen Smiled as his class mates toyed with the envoy. Each in their own way had taken a sadistic glee in slightly torturing the new arrivals. This was quickly thwarted however by the forceful presence instilled by their master. Valen leaned back in his chair, listening to what was to lead him down his future path.

Gall_4185 - March 2, 2005 07:58 PM (GMT)
Revan ducked and turned as he whipped one blade back above his head to parry and incoming attack while his second was stepped over by the nimble Montoya. S reversal of his pattern slid his blades in opposite directions, forcing the Blind Jedi's defences wide as Revan deviated from routine by dropping his shoulder and diving straight at Montoya. Unable to dodge or bring his weapons back in time to stop the attack,he was doubled over by the sudden impact, his breath stolen by the force of the spearing attack. Revan flipped back on to his feet and flourished his weapons as Montoya pulled himself upright again.

Even despite a lack of breath, the blind Jedi continued the fight in the manner of a master swordsman as he tried to keep Revan both at bay and avoiding producing any weaknesses in his own wall of a defence. Twin blades crossed time after time as both combatants dripped sweat from the exertions of the duel. Those in audience could only feel awe from witnessing such a display of martial prowess. Malak had shown unusual intelligence by activating the recording equipment in the training room, mainly because he knew he'd have to watch it again to fully believe the complexity of weapon skills.

Tayi was even more dumbstruck, she doubted that her sabre skills would ever match up to those displayed by the combatants. Revan was constantly switching his stance as he slid between the various sabre forms,Montoya always a step behind, ready to slip into the appropriate countering form. The blind Jedi kept his countenance grim as Revan pushed his limits more and more until...he slipped.

Montoya watched in a state of disbelief as Revan's footing slid out from under him. Not wanting to pass one such a unique error from a true master,he sliced through the air with his twin wooden blades, aiming fro a clean hit on Revan's chest...

Revan's eyes had widened as he slipped, even more so when he saw Montoya pressing the advantage. then his eyes narrowed and a grin came to his face. Plating his hand to stop his fall,Revan discarded one blade and swept his legs around to push Montoya off course with his attack. Completely caught by surprise by the feint,Montoya could do little as Revan reclaimed his dropped sword and in what seemed to be the one motion had relinquished Montoya of his weapons and held both wooden blades to the throat of the blind Jedi.

"Well fought Montoya,well fought indeed"

OOC: Ok, time for me to post. I guess im with WZ's part then. ^_^;;

IC: The man was still moving forwards untill he heard the voice of a cathar that was to his right. Drester nearly pulled his weapon when he saw the cathar there. He knows alot about them and he surely distrusts him, but he has already dealt with a bounty hunter for today so he mostly stands neutral, looking upon him as he asks, "Hello there.. Who might you be to do over here? You know Cathars aren't exactly well looking upon here..."

Drester shows no sign to start a fight, although the jedi might sense his hightened state of alertness, seemingly he has something on his mind that he is trying to ignore for now. Drester's eyes then flash, looking ahead and behind the Cathar as he sees a barrel point out from a tree right above him, forcing his hand over to his blaster as he calls out, "Behind you!! Evade!!" The same moment he calls out and pulls his weapon, the unknown sniper rifes the rifle towards the jedi, everything seemingly going all slowmotion for them as the cather instantly reacts, whipping his lightsaber forth and with a margin, deflects the incoming blaster bolt away from him as Drester aims at the sniper and pulls the trigger.

WarriorZoalord - March 3, 2005 12:21 AM (GMT)
OOC: not sure what you wanted to do with the sniper :P

IC: Chunai turns off his saber as he turns around, just in time to see the body of the would-be assassin hit the ground with a loud armored thud. He could tell the assassin was dead before he even hit the ground, so it was no need for him to keep his saber out, as the scout didnt seem like a threat. "Well, this is interesting... didn't think i was that hated to warrent a bounty." He clips the saber's hilt back to his belt as he looks at Drester. while he was sure he could have handled the situation himself, the human did help him. "Erm... thanks for the help. I'm Chunai, nice to meet you...." He then nudged the dead body and turned it over as it was lying on its face.

Sparky - March 3, 2005 12:22 AM (GMT)
Montoya grinned and leapt to his feet easily, "I suppose saying I couldn't see that coming wouldn't cut it" and summoned his two discarded wooden swords to his right arm and held them there as he bowed.

"No it wouldn't have, it may have went for longer had you not swiped when I slipped"

"I agree, normally I would have waited till you got up but I was shocked enough that you slipped at all and curisoity had me think what you would do to recover had I continued, and you recovered well"

Revan smiled at the excursion as he wiped persperation from his face and Montoya tightened his blindfold while clearing his brow and smiled lightly as he made a statement, "You don't feel enough"

Revan raised an eye brow at the comment, "what?"

"You don't feel enough, your better than you think but your unrealisingly restricting yourself" was a more comprehending comment as the blind fold was fastened securely back into the black hair, despite it's heavy growth had a kind of impossible fineness to it's touch, "I do not see and have to continually hone my senses. If you could feel your area a portion of the way I do, perhaps you'll finally comprehend your own potential"

The sparring match winner wasn't sure of how to respond to the remark but he didn't have to as Montoya pulled his robes hood up but not enough to cover his face and made ready to leave, "I think.....we should spar again sometime, we could both benefit from more of such...........exertions of each other's style"

As fast as Revan had meet the almost stranger he walked out the training room stopping only to place back his two woden swords and bow to Tayi, "Perhaps we will also spar sometime"

Montoya walked out most statisfied that he had glimpse something most certainly rare and for it he felt all the more aware of everyting around him as if a layer of white noise had been removed from his perspective, "Interesting, most interesting indeed........."

Guyver Ashtaron - March 3, 2005 07:36 AM (GMT)
OOC: You'll see ;)

Drester blows the smoke out of his heavy blaster, holstering it again as he walks over to the dead body, seeing the face has a scarf over his mouth and nose. The shot had hit right into his head, which confirms that this assassin was good as dead. "You are welcome.. Although I dont think they would put a bounty on your head..."

As he kneels down to examine the body, Drester looks at the cathar as he says, "My name is Drester 'Bulls-Eyes' Braduuri.. Nice to meet you too by the way. You must be a jedi since you got a lightsaber, right?" He then looks back at the body, finding a datadisk that is already decrypted. He grins as he finds alot of names in this list, the title saying 'Bounty list and rewards'. But there is no clue to who has sent the assassin. Drester widens his eyes some as he sees that his head had a great price for an unknown reason.

"What the....??! 20 million credits for my head?? What the heck did I step on this time..?" Drester says with a low voice, nearly crushing the datadisk in his hand from the frustration of not knowing who the hell sent him. He stands up, staring down at the body as he says, "Well.... I can say someone or something is really pissed at me, and for what reason the heck I know!" He looks at Chunai and then asks a little casually, "By the way... You usually dont move this close to civilian enclaves, right?"

WarriorZoalord - March 3, 2005 07:56 AM (GMT)
Chunai shook his head a bit as he heard Drester's question to him. "No, I do not normally go far from the Jedi Academy nearby, and as you yourself said the people around here really don't like Cathar, jedi or not. I had descided to get out of the academy for a while and walk around, though I was a bit distracted I guess and before I knew it I was close to the settlement, and when I was thinking about leaving I could sense agitation coming from you,I didn't know why, but I descided to stay here."

He looked down at the dead assassin once more, then back at Drester. "Though why did he shoot at me if you were the one he was after? Had his aim been higher, he might have been abl;e to get you because there would have been a chance it would have been out of my sabers reach.... without throwing it of course, but of course a thrown saber would be more deadly towards you than a blaster shot..... Do you have any enemies that may want you dead? 20 million credits is a lot of money. Perhaps you would want to come with me back to the enclave and talk with the council, perhaps they could aid you in finding out who has this bounty on you?" He then turned away from the settlement, Drester, and the dead body while looking off in the direction of the academy.

Gall_4185 - March 3, 2005 01:54 PM (GMT)
Revan levitated his sparring blades back to their slots on the weapon rack. A chiming of a bell in one of the courtyards announced the time was shortly before midday, when Revan would have his least favourite subject of study,"Jedi Ethics" he mumbled under his breath as he gave the spectators a short bow before pulling his hood over his head before heading to his tutorial with Mastar Vandar.

Despite his lack of belief in the subject,Master Vandar was one of the council members who Revan help in great esteem. Diminutive in stature, ancient by any measure but undoubtadly wise and strong in the force,Revan figured that a swamp green Jedi Master would be a good source of information as to how to improve his perception of things through the force...

Guyver Ashtaron - March 3, 2005 05:54 PM (GMT)
Drester looks at Chunai, thinking for a while as he wondered why the assassin aimed for the jedi rather than him? If he had the 20 million credit bounty on his head, why did this assassin risk it by aiming at the jedi instead of him? Was it something personal, or...?

He is slightly disturbed out of his thoughts whne Chunai speaks once more, he looks up, nodding as he says, "Might aswell do that. Although im as confused as you are Chunai... Why would an assassin like that guy aim for you? And from what I know, I have no enemies so far.. Not that I go and kick gang members left and right on the nights.." He looks at Chunai, seeing him turn towards where the Jedi enclave might be. "Let us go then. Because I bet that this datadisc might contain more than we can see, or atleast what I can guess on. With a place to get a better slicing enhancement on, I can see if there is any more info on this disc..." He says, holding the disc up as he fiddles with it in his fingers some, looking at all sides of it as he is still wondering why the assassin just did such a foolish mistake??

WarriorZoalord - March 4, 2005 09:03 AM (GMT)
"Well, We won't find anything out standing around here, follow me and I'll lead you back ot the Enclave... Stay close so you don't get lost." With that Chunai started walking off towards the Enclave, wondering how exactly he would explain why he's bringing a non-jedi there, but then again the council heard lots of complaints and problems of the settlers here. Now he wondered if the council could help Drester with his problem, they would find out soon, he guessed. He looked back to make sure that Drester was following him before he continued on.

Riven - March 4, 2005 03:05 PM (GMT)

In another training room, Scyra stood silently in the center of the rooml, lightsaber held loosely in one hand and seven training droids positioned in a circle around him, all of them only at level five. He wasnt looking for an extreme workout, just one that would provide just enough to keep his skills sharp.

As Scyra's eyes opened and a fierce, almost alien look of determination over came his face, the seven droids came online and attacked. Scyra simply side stepped the first droid and parried its strike, before fliping backwards over another and slashing across its metal back.and separating its upperbody from its lower.

He crouched fell back into a backwards roll, careful not to hurt his neck as a droids energy blade came down on the spot he had just been at. Scyra sprang to his feet and drove his lightsaber forward, before pulling it bag and revealling the hole that went straight threw the droids head and the molten slag around the edges.

Scyra heard the hiss of the blade first and ducked just in time as another blade sweapt above him, merely removing the top of a strand of hair. Scyra changed his grip on the lightsaber to a reverse grip and with frightening grace, spun around, severing the droids legs and then with a flick his wrist, removing the droids hands too.

There was still four more to go though.

Scyra stood up straight, still holding the blade in a reverse grip and watched as the four droids charged towards him.

"Computer raise droid level be three levels" Scyra ordered suddenly, he was fully aware of mysterious upgrades to the droids, having stumbled across the extra difficulty levels quiet by accident during one training exercise, and had regularly checked for any new modifications made. So he wasnt surprised when the droids suddenly shot forward without warning.

He shot to the side and started running around the edge of the room with the droids close behind him. When one of them actually managed to get in front of him, he skidded across the floor trying to stop seemingly, but at the last moment he used the force to give him a burst of speed and jumped to the side, letting the droid that had been right behind crash into the on in front, their energy blades slicing through each other easily.

Scyra shifted into a different stance as he eyed the two remaining droids on either side of him. He kept his guard up and waited patiently, wondering which of the droids would move first.

Then suddenly move droids did, moving at the same speed. Scyra parried the first blow from the right droid and ducked under the left one, before jumping at the right one and using it to rebound over the left one, which he brought his lightsaber down on quickly, severing it in half. The remaining droid was quick though, moving through the wreckage of the identical droid and slashing at Scyra with well placed strikes that forced him to shift his style to defense as he parried and blocked blow after blow, being backed up against a wall. Still, he didnt lose his cool and simply waited for the right moment to strike back.

That moment finally came when his back met the wall and the droid drove thrusted its energy blade forward. Scyra dodged to the side and in one swift movement, brought his own lightsaber down on its robotic hand removing it from its arm, before removing its droid head from the rest of its body.

Scyra stood there for a while observing the destruction he had just caused.

"Who ever made those modification did a good job" he said quietly as he deactivated his lightsaber and then slowly started for the door, done with the exercise

Guyver Ashtaron - March 4, 2005 03:28 PM (GMT)
Drester nods, moving with the cathar as he knows that getting lost out here would be more than just unhealthy. He had already two assassins trying to kill him, but both of them seemingly failed miserbly for an unknown reason. But it could've been just bad luck or something. But happening twice in a row seems more than unlikely. "I hope im welcome there, because I dont think these guys would be happy if they found me still alive, whoever is trying to kill me.." Drester says, thinking mostly over the sheer luck he had.

Master Vandar shook his head slowly as Apprentice Revan left his class,a young mind full of problems, trying to resolve teh Jedi Code into a practical means of living, Vandar knew that Revan would eventually either be the star or the destruction of the Order unless something changed. Some of the more traditional members of the Order had noted that Revan's use of the force for even minor tasks. Yet none could deny his dedication to the aid of those in plight, nor his desire to protect the helpless and secure the Republic. Hopefully darkness would not dominate his future paths, for the sake of all sentinent life

Lucien Angelis was wiping away the stains from her last play session with some unfortunate who'd been stranded in Dreshdae and who couldn't resit the allure of bedding a Sith. Lucien recalled his pitiful wails as she'd sunk her fanged teeth into the soft flesh into that sensitive region below his belt line. The howls of pain as he thrashed around in agony until Lucien focused her mind and brought his movement to a halt. his cries silenced even though his eyes roved, searching for some escape as she dug her sharp claws into his abdomen while her fangs pierced flesh around his genitals. Even without the screams, the mere sounds of her coital activities sounded through her chamber as she drew her ruby whipe,it's evil glare glistening across her naked and firm body...

Jolan Uln watched with sadistic glee as he aslo drew up the plans for the Sith involvment with the Mandalorian's battle plans. He knew that he could not pass up an oppertunity to send some Sith to Dxun,to investigate the tomb of Freedon Naad,as well as cause problems for Onderon and the Republic. Already several small colonies outside the republic had been decimated, with only enough survivors left to tell tales of the wrath and destruction wrought upon them by the Clans fo Mandalore. SO far the Republic had ignored these cries fro help, but news was spreading and soon the republic would have to react. Then the Sith could have their moment...

Dantoonie

Revan was just returning from another exploration of the ancient burial mounds surrounding the Enclave when a young trainee Jedi ran past, shouting the news that war had come to the republic. Setting off for his quarters,Revan sat down to view the holonews broadcasts while he unlocked a small, slender box which had remained hidden under his bed for all his time at the academy.News had reached the Republic that the Mandalorians had been destroying worlds outside the Republic for a few weeks before they moved to strike at Republic Colonies, sending a few survivors scurrying through Republic space to spread word of the masked warriors wreaking such devestation and declaring their challange to the Republic fleet. Originally Coruscant had only sent one small battlegroup to face the Mandalorian menace, only to be crushed utterly. Now the Republic had declared war and was calling to the Jedi Order for aid in these dark times. As the lid of the slender box raised,Revan lifted the black and red mask from it's velvet padding before claspin it around his head. The proud Jedi removed it as he stood up to go and declare his intent to the council, carefully placing the mask back in its case before he left...

Riven - March 6, 2005 03:05 PM (GMT)

Scyra walked quietly and calmly down the hall, having read the Holo News report. He knew this day would come eventually when the Jedi would be called upon, he had just hoped it had not been so soon.

Joining this war was not something he wanted to do, but he knew that like a fair few fellow Jedi, he had skills that could spare a few innocents from being killed and if he could prevent even a handful of people being killed, then he was willing to set aside his own personal feelings and fight for the good of the Republic and all the good people that inhabited the Republic colonies.

Whether or not the Jedi council would allow him, he would leave. Going against the Order on something like this was something he would not like to do, but everyone had to choose their own path, and Scyra was going to choose his own path and do what he thought was good.

Now all he had to do was wait patiently before hearing what the decision would be that the council would make. Either way he was going, he would just perfer to do it with the councils approval.

Tydorei Belouve - March 7, 2005 11:05 PM (GMT)
Tayi was healing another patient when the holonews broadcasts came one about the Mandalorians. After the important parts of the broadcasts Tayi turned to question the Jedi master in charge of the infrimary, but apparently she went off to talk to the council. Tayi went to the infrimarys lounge room to watch the rest of the news. Many of the Apprentices there were getting excited about the news. Only a few were disturbed like her.

She didn't know why they were getting excited. It wasn't like if the Order decided to help the Republic in the war the Order would send Apprentices and unseasoned Jedi to the front. And who knows whether or not the Order would fight. They will first seek a peace treaty like they do when any skremish breaks out... but if peace couldn't be signed, then they will fight. But no worrys, she wouldn't end up in it... right.

Tayi decided to go back to the training room... and actually train this time. Just incase... she hoped the trials don't come soon.

War....

Word had been passed to Montoya as he had cleaned himself up and was getting some rest in his room. He finished knotting his blindfold through his hair effortlessly in the fimiliar fashion it took to get it right, standing up he lifted his robes and put them on crossing it over his body before tieing it off with the sash.

Many thoughts passed through his mind as he quickly walked to the door and made his way to see the Council, weather they were in the mood for someone to see them was irrelevant or not, he was going to voice his concerns to them. With war having broken out any threat to the republic undoubtly meant a threat to the order. The two seemed to go hand in hand and if the Council iqnored the Republics plea for help once they were out of the way the Mandalorians would undoubtly come after them just to clean everything up.

Montoya alwas had respect for the Council and strong loyalty but if he knew the situation right now, if they didn't view the way he did, would he leave. Perhaps not, he was perhaps too loyal but his stay would mean he would constantly be at there thoats to show his opinion..............

Gall_4185 - March 8, 2005 02:29 PM (GMT)
Malak was livid at the news that the Mandalorians were razing innocent worlds. These attacks could only be born out of bloodlust to Malak's young mind, for the victim worlds held no strategic value and few to no military outposts. He felt the order should leave at once to defend these worlds, that they would be betraying their mandate if they did not protect the helpless and defend the innocent. But what could he do against the wisdom of the Jedi council. Slowly rising from his seat,he spoke in a cold voice
"What I must" he decided.

Revan's mind spuin as he entered the council chambers, vaguely aware that a large number of Jedia at the enclave would be watching with great intrest, and that many of the younger Jedi would back his request, even some of the older ones might agree with him if he could word things properly. Sweeping back his hood so as not to ressemble a Sith too closely for it had been commented many times during his training that his garb was too dark for a servant of light, that his firey orange blades bore too great a resemblance to the deadly crimson blades favoured by fallen jedi of old, that his attitude was not befitting a modern Jedi Knight. Yet none could deny his skills with both the sabers he wore at his hips and the force which swirled around him. With his mind still spinning, revan entered the grand council chambers and gave a short bow to the assembeld Jeid before he prepared to speak...

OOC: I've decided to split this into two parts to give people time to arrive at the meeting and hear Revan's first speech

Astroguyver - March 8, 2005 04:11 PM (GMT)
Alyssa was a young Jedi Padawan with skillfull potential. She was very book smart and skillfull. Perfect for a gaurdian. That is why she was paired up with the Librarian at the archives.
Alyssa once made up her mind to be a Jedi Gaurdian withen these halls. This was her first exam, she choose Gaurdian. This path seemed to fit her most since Alyssa was teh Smart Brainy kid that sticked up for others.

She had studied lightsabers extensively in order to make the ones she used. Each saber was a short saber and pink in color. This was her second test and she passed it flawlessly. An engineering marvel, said her Mentor: Jenah Dryant - Head Librarian of the Jedi Archives. Jenha took intrest in Alyssa ever since she memorized short saber combat at only age 8. From then on they made a close bound almost more like sisters then Master and Padawan. But, Jehnah made sure that Alyssa knew the line between the two.

______________________________

The Jedi Archives, The only place Alyssa has called her real home. When ever she sits at her usual desk it sent a warm feeling down her spine. She was sitting at her spot as usual with her nose in a book. She put up her hand as a small glass of water was lifted to her. She took a sip and placed it down back on the table. SHe went back to studying some ancient fighting styles. Most of them she had learned already, but she loved to fight with short sabers. She wore a set of loose robes that hid her curved fiqure underneath. She wore her hair short so it does not get in teh way of her combat trianing and a pair of glasses so she can see. It was odd that a jedi would need them but she still kept them.

_______________________________

Alyssa closed her book and pushed her glasses up her nose. She was reading some material on Lightsaber defences when her mentor walked up to her. "Come Little Alyssa, there is a great meeting that has been called." The head librarian smiled and placed a hand on Alyssa's shoulder.

"Yes Master", she got up and told one of the assisstants about leaving. Fortunitly he was happy to put the stuff away. She smiled and hurried out of the archives. "Master, May I ask what the meeting is about?"

"We shall find out soon young one." Jehnah said with out looking at her.

"Ok Master", They did not talk much untill they got to the grand councile chamber and took there palce in the crowd.

Tydorei Belouve - March 8, 2005 10:26 PM (GMT)
Tayi was once again about to start combat training when she let herself be distracted. She sensed that many were gathering at the grand conssil chambers. Surely the Consil decided that they would aid the Republic. Its not like they could deny the Republic in such a perilous time. Its what the Order was all about.

But still Tayi wanted to hear what had to be said, even tho she was confident that the Consil would send the Republic aid. She left the training room alittle angry with herself for not training in swordsmanship yet again. She told herself that she wouldn't need to rely on her sabre skills in a fight since her force powers where great, besides hearing what the Consil had to say was a just cause to leave.

Upon entering the grand consil chambers Tayi was shocked to see that Revan was preparing to speak. Tayi got alittle annoyed at this, had she missed what the Consil decided? Or where they going to let Revan speak before them... Did he have so much influnce...

Gall_4185 - March 16, 2005 05:59 PM (GMT)
Revan waited patiently for the Jedi Council to enter the grand chamber before he took his seat, but he also took the intervening time to mentally count those gathered and divide them into groups depending on their disposition towards aiding the war effort. Once he had done that he focused on further dividing them into who among st them could go against the council's orders if need be to safeguard the Republic. his mental count never progressed past rough figures before the council strode into the grand chamber and took their seats on the raised platform at the front. Diminutive Vandar at the front, flanked by Masters Zhar and Vrook, who was still struggling with an injured wrist despite having received medical treatment, and finally followed by the recently appointed Master Dorak. While Zhar,Dorak and Vrook took their seats,Vandar took a few steps forward and began to speak, seeming as if this decision was piling more years onto his already ancient shoulders.

"Dark times are theses, and a force of light does the galaxy need. But rush blindly into conflict we must not. Travel to Coruscant must all Jedi ranked as true members of the order and there shall we decide our path through this darkness. Something dark approaches and no not can we. A strong front must we hold against the night, and as such Jedi students close to completion of their training must be tested. Assignments shall be set by their masters, for in six day, leave shall we. On Coruscant a grand council of all Jedi shall convene, and our decision shall we make. All Jedi shall have their voice heard, and all cases shall be heard. Leave us now shall you, face your trials and make your preparations. Jedi Revan, please remain behind"

The assembled Jedi rose and gave a short bow to the Masters of the Enclave before filtering out, leaving Revan alone With Masters Vandar,Vrook,Zhar and Dorak. Inclining his head towards the assembled Masters, he listened as Vandar spoke once more

"Apprentice Revan,Your Jedi trial shall be to investigate a freshly discovered complex among st the ancient burial mounds. Sonic scans have shown a series of chambers and corridors beneath the surface. As you have repeatedly been sighted in and around these ruins,it has been decided that for your trial you shall explore and retrieve any artefact's. Go now and report your findings within the following seventy two hours."

With that Revan rose and left to prepare for his trial...

Tydorei Belouve - March 23, 2005 01:09 AM (GMT)
As Tayi left the Grand Chamber her master called.

"Tayi."

"Yes master?"

"A farm in the north has been attacked by Kath Hounds. I would like you to investigate it."

"A Kath Hound attack? Should this be Jedi affairs?"

"Treat the victims, determine the cause and find a solution. Here." She said the latter pointing to a location on a map

"Right away master."

With that, Tayi walked away briskly. She was fretting about the task she was given. She thought it to simple for a jedi. Heal the victims, find the kath hound, then kill it? Exiting the Enclaves main doors she looked up at the stars decorating the night sky. Pulling up her hood she headed north. Remembering she had victims to heal she started running... besides, she could use alittle tonning.

When Tayi came into viewing distance of the farm she used speed brust to get there quickly. All the lights were on at the farm. Rushed voices could be heard inside. Tayi knocked on the door and was greeted imdately with a shout.

"Who is it?"

"Tayi, of the Jedi Enclave. I come to assit you."

Someone peeked threw the window. Tayi lowered her hood and the door was opened. The man who greeted her was armed and had little wounds about him. Tayi sensed though that another was in greater need of healing. Walking past him into another room she asked "What happend here?" even tho she basically knew. Just to keep the family members busy instead of pacing around.

The man started talking about how they were just working the like anyother day as Tayi kneeled next to apparently his youngest. He looked in bad shape. His mother must of tried to bandage him but she obvious didn't know how. Tayi Was removing the bandages when the older soon spoke up.

"This were not normal Kath Hounds. These hounds were... rabid... possessed. They had rad eyes."

Looking at the younger brothers wounds she wasn't sure if her heal could do it alone. He looked on the verge of death, but she had to try. Tayi held her hand over the large gash on his side as her hand glowed with a blusish white aura. With her other hand she grabs a medcine pack and takes out an ointment made of kolto and applies it to the boys leg bites and other wounds. She then placed both hands over the large gash and put all of her effort in it. The healing glow envolped his whole body as his family gasped in aww. When the light disapated his wounds were gone, just slight scaring.

"Incredible." his mother proclaimed

"He is not well yet. He lost much blood and need lots of rest. I'm going to go check out these kath hounds. Doctors should be her to fix you two up in a momment." Tayi said about to leave.

"I'll go with you." The father spoke obviously wanting some revenge

"No need. I can handle it. You need rest aswell" Tayi said leaving.

Leaving the house she saw a landspeeder coming her way obviously the doctors. Tayi headed off farther north. She had a feeling her hounds were there.

Revan pulled his hood up over his head as he left the Jedi Enclave, his twin sabers resting comfortably on his belt as he drew out the mask he had found only a week ago. Lifting the ebon and crimson face plate up, he fastened it firmly y in place and was surprised to see an archaic HUD framing his vision, scopes citing distances and elevations flickered as the Sentries came into his field of vision. strange device this is, but handy indeed He thought as the air valves on the mask filtered his breath to remove any airborne toxins he may come into contact with. Stalking off into the dusk, Revan sought out the recently discovered ruin complex...

Lucien Angelis and Valen Irylem knelt before Jorak Uln as he outlined the sith involvement in the Mandalorian assault on the Republic. He would be sending his two most capable students to the sack of Cathar, a world with the misfortune of being the last non republic target that the Mandalorians would strike. Signaling for the two junior sith to depart he turned back to the holocron he had recently found...one from the Last true Sith to leave Korriban

A surge of force fed power flared from Revan's sweeping hand as the ancient granite like blocks fell away from the subterranean doorway as the dank room came into focus through the cascade of dust and minor rubble. A mechanical whirring from the chamber beyond caught the young Jedi's attention as he neared the door. Focusing the force to perceive what he would be facing he determined at least four mechanical beings waiting for him, with energy charging consistent with weapons coming online. Taking his sabers in hand, fiery orange light bathed the area as Revan tore the door down with a drive of force energy. The heavy stone slab slammed into the dark metal chassis of the first droid who had charged to engage the intruder, as the second brought its blaster weapons to bear on the Jedi. Sabers crossed through the air, intercepting each and every bolt hurled his way as he blurred s lightly, his movements increasing in pace as he closed the gap between himself and the closest droid. His fiery blade severed the control cluster from the chassis as he turned, only for his forearm to be caught by the slicing pincer of the third droid, its metallic claw shredding flesh and robe alike. Agony flared in his mind as he dropped his right saber before bisecting the droid with an uppercutting slash. Beneath the blood flow, a skull and lighting tattoo could be clearly seen on the inside of his right forearm, a clan marking of some sort. Revan ducked under the claw arm of the final droid, using the dip to retrieve his fallen saber before driving a flurry of attacks against his foe. Minor scorch marks crossed its chassis before Revan altered his attack pattern and drove in with twin forward stabs. One blade came cleanly through the droid’s shoulder joint, while the other devastated its sensor array. Revan kept his sabers lit as he ignored the wound on his arm to press further into the ruins, he could properly search this room for artifacts on his way out, but the ultrasonic scans had shown several chambers and so far Revan had only been in two…

Revan wiped the dried blood from his forearm before using a medpack to clean and repair the wound. He’s re-opened it fighting more droids over the last hour of exploration, but had been luck enough to find an old medical supply chest. After he finished patching himself, he used his sabers to pop the seal on what he judged to be the last door. Nothing in all the worlds he had heard tell of could have prepared him for the waves of anguish which erupted from the depths of the room, for the dark energies cascading from what the Ancients had sealed and buried after installing several dozen mechanical guards. Stepping further into the room, his sabers blazing in the darkness, Revan faced what no Jedi had faced in countless millennia.

The withered husk of a bestial figure which had clearly once been almost regal in aspect sat chained and wheezing on a force shielded pedestal. Obelisks at the four main compass points shimmered with dark energies as they sensed a fresh source of power. Raising his defences, Revan shrugged off the attack as his touch took one obelisk offline. Repeating the process left the captive free to expire at last. Looking up on the withered form, Revan leaned closer to look at a strange amulet around its throat. With a horrific and bestial roar the creature lunged for him, only for the fiery sabers to cross through its barrel like chest. As it dropped in its chains, Revan could barely make out the spiteful warning it whispered. The ancient beast withered away to nothing, as if only the thing sustaining its existence was the spite of its captors. Gathering up what he could, along with the engraved amulet, Revan prepared to return to the Council to present his findings. As he removed his mask, the beast’s final words rang in his head

Darkness shall claim you, and even the Sith will fear you. For you will be the fall of all the galaxy…

Montoya lay on his bed consdieirng hwta hte council said, he wanted to say his view and let them know but they seemed determined to push it aside, maybe not permanently but definitely for now as far as he could see. It annoyed him more than anything right now.

However......he could be kept updated on what was happening. ontoya left his room and went to seek out a person who two he knew elsewhere in hte enclave. Each had a way of keeping tags so to speak on things and each knew a source somewhere. Like this he could know what was happening without the scraps of information that was rarely announced.

A few hours laters later Montoya walked away from another jedi's room as the door shut, there was now a small group working to keep themselves updated on things, it took a little persauding on Montoyas part but it was done, besides he trusted them all.

As Montoya reached back to his room the door opened and his master was waiting for him, it was unexpected. Had he known what he had just did?
best he keep control lest his thoughts betray him

"I was waiting for you, meditating again, your passively clear"

Perhaps he was overly concentrating a bit Montoya thought to himself, "Yes, I was merely composing myself"

"It's good, you alwas try to improve, constantly I might add. Which is why I've chosen your trail now"

Montoyas attention was sharpened as he gave total awareness to what was being said now despite teh fact he was looking passed his master with a tilted head. Something which his master had alwas mentioned for him to stop but the quirk was as unstoppable as the force its self, his eye's being useless by themselves Montoya was naturally di-smissive of the idea at looking at someone for no point since he couldn't see them anyway.

"You've alwas been physicly adept, I feel any trail testing your prowess would be an exercise in futility. Instead I want to test your awareness, you know of the dark side grove, go there and see, see it's contents and see yourself"

Montoya bowed forward "Yes, master"

The jedi master got up and laid a hand on his apprentices shoulder before leaving the room, he considered how Montoya would handle that challange. To see inside ones self is often the hardest trial any jedi can take, there are alwas things there a person is not even aware of.

An hour later.....

Montoya was pushing a speeder to get to the Grove, his trial was set and it was about to get done.....................

Montoya left the speeder and approached the Grove by foot the last bit of distance. The place emanated of taint and Montoya waked closer to some small rubble of ruins closed off by trees. He got on a rock and locked round before sitting down and crossing his legs, there was soemthing here that his maser wanted him to see or experiance somehow, or perhaps it was all about him?

The Padawan began to meditate............

Lucien Angelis sat in the dropship,he senses howling as the atmospheric pressure buffeted the craft. The Mandalorian foot soldiers sat a small distance away frm her and Valen after having tried to intimidate the two sith during transit to the victim world of Cathar. Tracking sensors showed the descent of bassilk War Droids as planetary defense was overwhelmed. Suddenly slammed forward in her crash webbing,Lucien squinted as the harsh daylight of Cathar swept into the dropship. Breaking free of her seat,Angelis lead the charge against the feral Cathar fighting to defend their homes as escaping frieghters broke from the atmosphere...

Revan returned to the Jedi Enclave late into the night, carrying his findings and the control cluster of one of the droids he had found. Instead of waking the council in the midst of their sleep cycle,Revan went back to his quarters for the night. Taking out the small chest from under his bunk,Revan slipped his mask back into place and slid the chest back into its place, but not before laying the amulet alongside it...

Scyra crouched behind some boulders, peering silently through a pair of goggles at the small encampment below, where there was a large bomb fire and a celebration of sorts going on. There weren’t many raiders, nine at the most, but they were well armed and caused the Jedi some concern. Scyra kept his mind calm as he felt out with the force, feeling everything around him as he thought about his task. His trial.

It was quiet simple really.

He waited for a bit longer, first one hour past, then two, and not once did he leave his station and continued to watch the encampment. When the bomb fire started to die down and the celebration quieten, he made his move. He moved swiftly and quietly, ready to use his lightsaber at a moments notice, if he had too. Before long he was at the edge of the encampment, keeping to the shadows.

He was kneeling behind some crates, the spoils of their latest raid, when he suddenly pulled out his light saber and spun around, twirling his lightsaber in a vertical circular motion, and soon a blood curdling scream filled the hair, the hand of the man that had been sneaking up on Scyra falling to the ground.

Scyra sighed. “So much for the subtle approach.”

Scyra rushed out into the middle of the encampment as the remaining Raiders came running towards him. His feet had barely touched the ground before he was off again, the raiders looked around in confusion, trying to find where he had gone to, when he suddenly leapt through the bomb fire. He landed between two raiders and jumped off again, kicking a Raider in front of him in the head before he disappeared back into the shadows, the two raiders he had landed between though look on in shock as their blaster rifles fell apart in two pieces each. Then out of no where two heavy rocks collided with the sides of their heads and knocked them out .

The nine remaining Raiders looked around, trying to recompose themselves with their weapons raised.

“Its one of those blasted Jedi’s” growled one of the raiders.

Suddenly one of their swoop bikes roared to life and they all spun around, bringing their guns to bare as the swoop bike came at them. They opened fire on it, blaster fire ripping through it easily, but it kept on coming and the men jumped to either side to avoid it as it crashed into the bomb fire and exploded.

Scyra reappeared from the shadows as the men started to pick themselves up, reaching for their blasters as they did. Scyra kicked away the blaster of the first Raider they he got to and then landed a second kick to the bridge of the man’s nose and knocked him out. Scyra flipped over the man’s unconscious form and landed behind a raider that had manage to get to his knee’s and raised his gun. Scyra placed his hand on the base of the man’s neck and applied the appropriate amount of the pressure that sent the raider off into a deep slumber.

By now the other men were on their feet and their weapons were aimed at Scyra, who breathed calmly as he spun around and the men opened fire. Scyra brought his light saber, its silver blade twirling brilliantly in front of him as he deflected each blast in any which direction. He kept twirling the lightsaber, concentrating solely on deflecting the blasts as the Raiders continued to fire without another thought. Finally he made a tactical decision and lunged to the side, rolling across the ground and behind another set of crates.

He knelt there for a second, taking the time to catch his breath..

Letting the force guide him, Scyra rolled out from his hiding place, coming up in a crouch as the raiders prepared to fire, then launched himself forward with all his strength, already he was twirling his lightsaber as a storm of blaster fire rushed towards him. He easily deflected the shots and landed next to one raider and with motions almost too fast to see he sliced the man’s blaster in half and then hit him in the forehead with the butt of the light saber, before turning around and deflecting more blaster fire as the man behind him toppled over.

Scyra jumped forward as a force barrier appeared around him, the shield deflected one blast that zipped to the side and then he stopped in front of another and lowered his shield as he sliced apart the blaster then brought his knee up into the man’s stomach and then executed a reverse spin kick that impacted with the back of the man’s neck and drove him face first into the ground. As he landed though, a white hot pain ran through Scyra’s arm as blaster bolt grazed his upper arm.

His force barrier went back up immediately and he turned around to face the remaining two Raider’s. He ignored the pain as best he could and jumped forward ready to attack the raiders. One rolled to the side and the other stood there frozen. Not bothering with his lightsaber Scyra dropped into a crouch and swept the fear frozen raider’s feet from under him, and then lunged at the other one, executing an upper cut and round house kick that knocked the wind out of the man.

Scyra saw the man he had just knocked over going for his gun out of the corner of his eye. He walked over, his lightsaber ignited and stepped on the man’s hand and then pointed his lightsaber an inch from the man’s throat.

“Have you heard the term, think before you act?” Scyra asked.

Some Time later

“Here you go, um, sir” the pilot said as the small transport shuttle landed softly on the ground.

“I thank you for the lift” Scyra inclined his head slightly and exited the shuttle, and calmly made his way back to the Jedi temple, to report his successful completion of his trial to the Jedi Council.

Whispers.....not undertsandable only pasing and disturbing but the voices intent clear, the hatred was right there and they're meaning was easily hinted at.....

Montoya mantianed concentration as he heard whispers, weather through really hearing them or just thinking it he was in a self induced trance and the voices echoes of the taint here. They kept whispering things to him and started picking at things he knew....

"Alwas be disciplined, there is no emotion" Montoya heard a voice say, it was is his master.

unleash.....strength...feel it....
It was whispers that picked after that line and nagged after him

"There is alwas emotion" Montoya heard the line escape his mouth when he was younger in reply. It sounded as if a wave was going to him before the end of his memory played "but it should never interfere with a jedi's mind..........."

The thought of the sound his master made when he was thinking seemed to overwhelm all and then his speech

"Perhaps but a jedi shouldn't have emotion at all to worry about, what do you think of that Montoya....your thoughts?"

For some reason the scene came into focus in Montoya mind his exact sensations as he felt the force round him that day as he felt his master sitting beside him talking and the sound of his voice the knowing knowledge that his master was watching him as a youngerster even now his hair was long and he stared with the tilted look at somewhere distant.

"to say your emotion isn't there will leave you blind to it when it rises, to admit means you are alws aware to control it"

"Such views from one so young Montoya, perhaps I should write it down and present it to the council my young padawan" he heard his master joke and chuckle slightly while the boy re-tied his hair and smiled.

The whispers turned to screams as meaningless cries hit Montoya an angry outlash that he didn't say soemthing more with they're views. Around Montoya for real as he sat on the rock a powerful unnatural wind twisted through the grove hounding him and seemed to pull up other memories.......

Montoya was a year or two older now and tied up by someone in the same room as some other people. On a small negotion mssion Montoya had been grabbed and kidnapped by people that were around the problem after he had wondered away from his master, perhaps being a jedi padawan but still too young to resist such people in a fight.

While tied up Montoya could send the people being beaten around him, it got worst when a women was stuck with a knife and the person reached into the open wound and squeezed her insides as she died. He didn't have the images but his perception allowed him to almost feel it and the terror in that women. For someone so young fury rose up in the boy and the knife which was discarded went for the man with deadly intent but he managed to evade only with a slice through his upper arm to show for the situation.

The man took a moment to realise what happened when he looked at the padawan and smacked him the face knocking him out, perhaps the idea of taking the Jedi's padawan wasn't as useful as it should have been. Montoya awoke to see his master looking at him as he lay on a bed, somewhere during his unconcouiseness his master had sorted the problem and rescued him, as he glared up blndly he felt his master wiping his split lip gained by the smack.

Montoya felt whispers telling him to feel that rage again, the way it empowered him at such a young age. How strong he could become but meditating there he refused and the elements became more aggressive to his denyments the wind was much harder now and picked up dirt and small stones each being blown into him but he maintained his contolled thought and deny'd the temptation the taint of this place enticed him with.

Whispers became more frequent and assertive as it seemed more voices joined the fray to pass messages of intent and meaning to the man sitting in they're place of rest, this grove, they're home. Voices that all wanted him to do things against his teaching that were to even him on the simplest level wrong.

Tydorei Belouve - April 15, 2005 09:46 PM (GMT)
Tayi sensed she was coming upon a pack of kath hounds. Most of them seemed asleep tho. Their was definately somthing amiss about them. She crept over the perimeter of the pack towards the only two still awake, carefl not to make a sound. One was too busy sniffing the ground not to notice Tayis' approach. The other seen her but before it could make a sound Tayi rose her hand and it froze the hound in place. The one sniffing the ground caought Tayis' sent but was also put into stasis before alerting the others.

Tayi walked towards the two statised hounds and knelt beside them to examine them. The hounds had unusally dark fur and the blood red eyes as the farmers said. Threw the force she could see, slightly, a dark shroud about the two hounds. This is what is causeing the recent Kath hounds aggression. This must be her task. Healing this would not be like healing wounds. She had never done somthing like this before. But she was confident in her skills and trusted the force to guide her.

She raised her hand about to heal these two hounds when the hoot of an owl caught her attention. Tayi looked over her shoulder to confrim the pack was still asleep, then looked into a nearby tree and seen an owl looking intently off in the distant. She looked to see what the owl was looking at and seen a mouse scuttling threw some grass. Tayi turned back to the owl and raised an arm to put it in statis as it jumped off its perch and let out a screech. The screech from the now statis owl jered the the pack awake and the all set the red eyes on Tayi, snarling as they did so.

"Oh great" Tayi sighed as the pack rushed at her. Tayi force pushed the two she had stasised into the tree harnd enough to knock them. She jumped to the side as a horned kath hound tried to gouge her, as she done so her hand twitched to her saber but did not grasp it as it was unnessary. The next kath hound was about to lunge when it slammed into an invisble wall and knocked itself out. She then force pushed the horned hound into a near by boulder while she leapt over the last two hounds. As she landed one of the hounds let out a howl before she stasised the two of them.

"Easier than expected." Tayi whispered as she looked at her unconsious and immobile attackers. She sat crosslegged betweeen the hounds and rested her hands on her knees. Taking a deep breath she let her healing power pour out of her in a mass heal. She had to keep in mind that she wasn't trying to heal them physicly. Thats why she was in a meditating position as the force guided her threw this new task. She could feel as her healing aura went over the hounds the shroud around them disapated slowly.

Sensing new arrivals tho, Tayi got up quickly as more kath hounds came. This must of been the rest of the pack responding to that howl. Tayi figured that she didn't need to waste time on the hounds anymore anyway. She decided she will find the soucre of the shroud and report it to the consule. She force speed her way from the new arrivals.

A short distance from the pack she just left Tayi felt the shroud thicken. And coming over a hill she saw a ruin. Clearly it was the source of the taint in the hounds and area. She sensed another pack of hounds nearby aswell. Tayi consider to investigate the structure herself now but decided to report back to her master... the ruin will be there tommorow.

Something was different now, one of the voices started to become more tangable, too strong for an echoe and too decisive to be the whispers grouping together. It also seemed to hold the most power.

Montoya concentrated and tried to distance the dis-embodied voice but it just seemed to get stronger the more strength he used. In reality the winds were overhwelming powerful and assaulting him violently. He was bruised, battered and beaten and blood littered his form staining his robes and tunic underneath ut did not even seem aware on a basic level nevermind aware of his condition, inside his mind Montoya was commanding the voice to go until he could swore it struck out at him.

The more he watched the more it took on a defining shapeuntil it had a burred body and a weapon of it's own. Somewhere, somehow Montoya also found himself in this place with this opponent, in his hand he swung up deflective a blow with his own saber and it skittled round with amusement. Now it had eyes, not powerful yet but as he watched they deepened and becam stronger. Blood started to lash n from hte sides until his opponent was blured figure against an empty background with only those eyes to keep it truly seperate from his surroundings.

It came forward and swiped at him with it's weapon, he blocked it and it swung twice in succesion which it had to fold to he side and abandon when he came at it with a superior series of strokes.

As it fought more it become more dicisive, stronger, it's body became more solid, thicker as if it were solidifying in a place it shouldn't and it charged activiting a second sabe blade on the hilt it carried in it's hand and started to attack fiercely now. The assaults were strong and without mercy but a moment he thought he would be overhwelmed but losing was not something montoya would submit to this thing. He halted his back movement and blocked the next swing before pushing forward and bringing fast strokes round towards it, for a moment it looked like it would recover when a second saber appeared in his hand and he pushed forward with determination.

Swipes stroked at it's feet which it moved to block but when anti-clockwise sweep came for it higher it had to leap back and Zatoichi soved in both his saber catching it's duel one and holding against it until he broke back and with one slash cleaved down it's center but it did not fall instead he cut through a viel of deciet.

The black almost skin cover slipped away as the form stood there unflinching and a wild manifestation of Montoya stood there with those glaring at him, how he could see those eyes in the first place he didn't quite understand as he wasn't wearing his visor but this was his mind, anything was possible such was the apparition in front of him.

You are weak.....you may have struck me but you can never strick me down

A taunting apparition Montoya laughed at it "I may not need to strike you down to beat you"

This thing it was just him, all these voices were just him, the more he concentrated the more he fed them. It was all the things that made him him but not. In any case it was time to end this, Montoya put his sabers away and turned his back to the apparition and waitd ti'll this ended. In his view, he'd seen what he needed to see. This was place was just here because he thought it to be, it ends now.

His eyes opened sharply and his eyelids felt the blindfold there, then he felt the sting of the wounds on his face as teh wind hissed with wind and dirt into the cuts. montoya didn't know how long he had been here but his body ached however the moment he awoke the wind died. He held his body up as he stood without trouble, such things were below him, he had sustianed harsher pains just from his forced excessive training, these mild nuisances would be allowed to get in the way.

He got up from the rock iqnoring the exhaustion and ache he felt and headed for the speeder, when he got to it he felt some relief as he let his weight onto it and turned it back for the alcove.

From the days travel Montoya headed for his room and cleaned himself down before assuming a calming medition on his floor and using his healing ability to help aleviate the aggrevancies sustained by his body.

The next day Zatoichi was practising in the training room revan entered, instantly the idea of a repeat crossed they're minds, "Would you care to give it a try" the blind jedi boed with his saber and Revan smiled as Malak followed him in and he drew his saber since montoya was already using his, besides they both seemed to want to take it leisurely this time.

With simple strokes Montoya and Revan swiped for each other and revan swung low as Zatoichi skipped back but then came forward with a charge seeming to originate from no-where. A deathly downward swing that Revan seemed lucky to dodge just cut the air where he had been previously and Montoya launched itno a deathly duel for whatever reason revan didn't see what happened but before he could over his shock, it happened. Montoya thrust forward sticking his saber through Revan killing him. As he fell forwardhe grabbed montoyas blindfold and pulled it away, his eyes were an exuberant red hissing hatred everywhere.

Malak activated his own saber and charged for the assault for the person who had just killed his friend when montoya just throw teh saber abruptly and bisected teh giant man of a jedi in two. As he left he stuck his hand out and the saber flew back to it as he activated his other lightsaber and began to stalk down the halls of the jedi training ground.

Tayi walked from around a bend too close to the corner to avoid what was about to happen and too late to realise altogether as she was cut in three peices by Montoya, he kicked a section of her torso away as he moved along and Master Vrook who had apparantly been wanting to talk to Tayi drew his saber as he witnessed the situation, the master didn't put up much of a fight as with both sabers Montoya revolved round deflecting a stroke from his lightsaber and sliced off both arms above the elbow.

With the look in Master Vrooks face Montoya kicked him over and stamped on his throat crushin his windpipe and stood to watch him choke.

It ended, Montoya truly came to this time. he was still on that rock in the grove, but he was sprawled across it and he was in worse shape than he had imagined, it wasn't just aches, it was pain, he was sure jis jaw was broken, probaly by a stone thrown by the hurricane winds and lots of other thnigs hurt when he moved but he got to the speeder and made it back to the enclave. he hurt all over he thought it an idea to maybe visit the med bay but he knew what his lesson was.

You could be aware of it all you wanted but even when your prepared for soemthing it can still take you by surprise........especially from within
