2522 : Michaelangelo City airspace. Mobile Frame group Alpha.

Smoke whipped past the viewscreens of the Mobile Frame. The once magnificent city was now just smoking rubble. People and animals were scrambling to and fro on the ground below. The incident had begun a month earlier. Mother Computer Dorothy, the senior computer of Michaelangelo city went rogue. The AI, Dorothy had created some freak genetic experiments and was beginning to irradiate the earth from the inside out. Although she controlled the entire city, she was not in essence the entire city. It was a network, and the best way to stop a network was to crash the main computer. And since deleting her wasnt an option, the best thing to do would be freeze her in time and space. For this, The Orbital and Mobile Frame units were called in from Mars. Each lead pilot was equipped with a Chronaton blaster device which was to be place around the Mushroom Tower in the cities center. Once these blasters were utilized, it would in essence freeze time. This would allow for the main cities network to remain intact while stopping Dorothy without crashing her. From there the techs could figure things out. The plan had some flaws though. One was Dorothy knew exactly what was happening and thus sending the pilots in was basically suicide, especially with her 'Children' the Galerians running around freely. Apparently some unknown force on the ground was killing them off one by one but not fast enough. In another few days Dorothy will have amassed enough radiation to set loose a nuclear winter all over earth. Dim lights flashed across the pale figure of commander Michael Shard, lead pilot of the ground based Mobile Frames. Almost right on top of his crew was the Orbital Frame pilots. Michael had always thought they were a bit flashy in those airbased mecha but they got the job done. His goal was the set up the blaster in the Mushroom tower basement, on foot, exposed to whatever Dorothy had defending her. Still, he found this to be the easier of the tasks. The leader of the Orbital Frames had to get right ontop of the Tower where Dorothy resided and place the Detonator there. Several other military groups would be placing blasters at safer stanced to created blanketing layers to ensure Dorothy was caught in the blast.

The whole problem stemmed from Dr. Steiner, a great but eccentric man. Obsessed with creating artificial life that could self replicate like humans do, though not quite as messily. He eventually hit paydirt when he created Dorothy. A system capable of self judgment, restoration, evolution, and replication. Everything seemed to be great when she surpassed the cities senior computers and became the central senior unit herself. Beneath this guise though, she was planning the demise of her creators so she could become a god. As soon as Dr. Steiner found that program flaw he should have shut her down, before the Hospital became a nest for those things of hers. Shaking his head, Michael armed his Frames missle launchers. Ahead of them was a blast shield erected by her and heavily guarded by gigant mutants. Half mechanical and half organic they were a good twenty meters taller than even the Orbital frames rocketing overhead. Keying the comm open Michael contacted the Orbital frame commander. " We're gonna need some bigger guns. If you can spare some pulse rifles or some extra frames we'd be much appreicative." Grabbing the joystick he pressed the trigger and prayed for some luck as did the other frames beside him.

Meanwhile.

Mushroom tower entrance.
Rion Stiener limped past a set of dead guards, blood dripping from the corners of his blue eyes. The pain was intense, it had been since he fought the Galerian Rita. He knew his life was getting shorter by the second. He had just pushed himself to hard, and the PPEC's he was carrying were running low. Looking over his shoulder he saw the still shaken Lilia Pascalle. She was doing her best to get through this but Rion could tell she was having doubts. Still, he needed her. She had the Virus program, and he had its launch program. Without her he wouldnt be able to take down Dorothy and save humanity as his fathers wish . Pressing his palm to the large scanner on the entrance shutters he closed his eyes and prayed he could get into the tower.

Elsewhere.

Explosions tore up the ground around Babylon Hotel as a black and and gold bounty hunter ship with a styilized S emlbazoned into its hull shot past. Arabaesques and various other creatures were shredded by shrapnel and explosive energy. As the golden ship shot off, a black and crimson sphere fell from it, emmiting a powerful white light as it plummeted towards a group of fatally wounded Aion style Galerians, foot soldiers with zombie like tendencies and limited psychic powers, as the glowing ball hit the ground it shot towards the nearest Aion and pounded through its form, uncurling in a blaze of energy to form a chozo power armored bounty hunter. Its green visor glowing slightly as its arm cannon expanded and unleashed a condensed blast of electrical energy into the group of Aions before the Hunter turned and looked toward the tower in the distance. The Hunter was hired to assisst some army boys and setting up some nasty bombs. Two small thrusters activated in the back of the suit and its body seemed to seperate like light through a pryzm as it leapt into the air and shot off towards the tower.

OOC: Ok, nothing spectacular, nothing to streamlined. I dont care where you start. Goal is the Mushroom tower. Nothing overpowered and Guyvers can only be standard now. You can be anything from Onimusha to Zebra monkeys. I dun care!

Mr Zektoll - January 2, 2005 01:06 AM (GMT)
OOC: Hmmm so we can be anything that isnt too over powered eh? Hmmm maybe I'll bring back Toast and Toxic PoleCat from HellGuard. I'll have to water down their powers a bit more though.

Lazarus - January 2, 2005 02:07 AM (GMT)
OCC: Hmm, this sounds really great. I do really like the idea of Galerians (as you assured me several times)... the psychic powers are the key component to my love of it however. Anyway, I'll be getting in on this one.

Sparky - January 2, 2005 05:15 AM (GMT)
OOC: I knew my guy would probaly fit in here, i'm glad I saved him for this, gimme a little bit of tiem to fix this and I'll be moving

Rion and Lillia walked cautiously into Mushroom Tower hoping that they could locate Dorothy and use the virus against "mother". They walk through the push open doors and see a large blue orb floating in the middle of the room. There appear to be no other exits than the front doors, so they walk up to the orb not sure what it will do. As they approach the orb, it begins to glow and before they know what has happened they are in a completely different room. They look around and notice several pods along the wall of this circular room. Rion walks up to one of the pods and reads the writing on it. "This one says, Perocian. It was Birdman's."

As he turns to Lillia in suprise she reads aloud another of the pods. "Syrus, Rita. So this one belonged to Rita?"

Rion walks over to a pod without any markings on it, "This is the only one without any name."

"That's becuase it's yours." Rion turns in shock not knowing there was anyone else in the room. However, when he looks upon the face of this person, he wonders if he isn't looking into a mirror.

"Who... Who are you?" Asks Rion not knowing what to do.

"I'm your brother, don't you recognize me? It is I Cain." Says the young boy in a mean, sarcastic tone.

"I... I don't understand, why do you look like me."

"I told you, we are brothers. You aren't the real Rion, even though you don't remember it."

Lillia becomes alarmed and turns to Rion, "Don't believe it, you're Rion! You came to help me, just like daddy said you would. You're Rion!"

"Don't you understand, Rion. You are my younger brother. I watched you "grow up" in that pod. I was awake and moving around when Mother chose you to find Lillia. I wanted to go, but Mother has her reasons for everything. You were chosen to find Lillia, and now you've done that. You're destiny has been fulfilled, now don't you think you've done enough. Don't you think it's time that you stopped. You've already done too much, you killed all your brothers and sisters. And now that you've fulfilled your destiny and found Lillia, it is time I fulfilled mine."

"And what is you're destiny?"

"To kill you!" With that, Cain runs towards Rion. Rion waves his hand quickly before him and Cain catches fire. "Hehehehe. You really think you can kill me? No one can change the destiny that Mother has set for us."

Cain then charges his electrokinetic powers, thowing an electric charged barrier around him and lightning bolts spark out from his eyes. "It is time that you gave up brother, it is time that you died." He charges towards Rion again, and this time knocks him into the pod that was once his, smashing it to pieces. Rion stands up and looks at his "brother". He thinks to himself quickly which drug would be best to help in the defeat of Cain. But before he can decide Cain is atop of him, trying to strangle him. Giving up on trying to decide Rion reaches into his pocket and pulls out the first vial he can. He injects himself with the drug all the while trying to hold his brother back with his other hand. Rions hand is now on Cain's face and is pushing it away with all his might so that Cain can't quite reach Rion's throat.

Rion's eyes almost pop out of his head as the drug kicks in. He realizes imediately that it is Nalcron and throws Cain across the room with his improved telekinetic powers. Once again Cain laughs and using his own telekinetic powers throws Rion into the ceiling and allows him to fall to the ground. Rion becomes angry from this and uses the telekinesis to throw Cain into the wall again, then using the powers, pumels him to the ground without even touching him. The drugs are now reaching their peak and Rion creates a barrier that would obliterate any thing in its path. This barrier was even on the boundries of a short circuit, but luckily Cain was blown to pieces before Rion was forced into pushing himself to that point.

Rion fell to his knees, blood dripping from his nose lightly. He sighed of relief and grabbed his head as the headache began to set in. This one wasn't anywhere near as bad as it could have been. "We should go to find Dorothy", he said to Lillia who he found hiding in the darkest spot of the room.

ChrisOfTheDead - January 3, 2005 09:44 PM (GMT)
The first group of mobile frames crashed into the gigantic monstrosities and barreled them over, slamming mettalic fists into biomechanical flesh and blasting powerful cadmium missles at point blank range. At first it looked like things were going the way of the mobile frame force, but no sooner did one of the creatures they battled die, than did a massive ground force begin its first assault with plasma turrets which sprang from every mechanical building and roadway. Manning these destructive weapons was a set of strange yellow mechanoids with black visors for eyes. Forming a tight group the frames began to fight back with shoulder mounted Railguns, but even this couldnt do much good against all the turrets if they couldnt locate the power source they fed from.

This dilemma was being solved by something much different from the human pilots of the frames though. The main plasma generator was located atop the Michaelangelo city hospital, guarded by ten or so more of the odd yellow mechas. It seemed that the main mobile frame squad wouldnt make it past the first checkpoint, or at least it did until a bolt of green plasma shot through the air and destroyed the head of the lead yellow guard. Standing opposite the main group of them was another strange mecha, an ancient humanoid robot with skills unmatched. Its bronce hair flowed slightly in the smoke laced wind atop the roof and its emerald green eyes shimmered as the auto targeting system built into them began to set up a target on each mechas head. The blue pyramid crystal built into the robots helmet shined brightly before another blast of plasma roared out from the gun to blast another mecha.

The bounty hunter caught sight of the firefight atop the hospital and veered towards it, doing a half somersault half flip over the roofs edge and landing boot first into a pile of charred robotic parts. raising the arm cannon, the hunter came face to face with a creature it had read about only in the history books. A reploid, one of the most dangerous types of AI ever developed. Burnt into its left shoulder was a crude 0.

Gall_4185 - January 3, 2005 10:21 PM (GMT)
This reploid was no normal experiment in AI. The broken remains of a soldier had been grafted to cybernetic frames of limbs, then fitted with a revolutionary form of Bio-Flesh armour to project the intricate servo-motors and weapons systems. His dark green armour only carried one true blemish...a crude 0 etched on his flesh usign high energy lasers. Metallic binding held extra plates of armour over his chest and back as his helmet spikes curved away from a ruby red crystal. His crimson eye plates fell upon the bounty hunter. A metallic voice cried out across the skies. "Behold Solitude Redux...Behold and fear!"

Using this distraction,Zero had ducked away from the bouty hunter's line of sight so he could better plan his attack...

Rion slowly got to his feet, and walked over to the blue orb. "Lillia, I want you to try something with your telepathy."

"What is it?"

"I want you to try to communicate with the blue orb. Tell it to take us to "mother"."

"Okay, I'll try." Lillia then went into a deep concentration trying with all her might to tell the blue orb to take them to Dorothy. The first thing she had to do was try and find something similar to a brain wave that she could speak into. She thought she may have found something that matched it, and proceeded to tell it her orders. As she was doing this, she got a message from the orb. In a metalic woman's voice it spoke, "What do you want?"

Lillia replied, "Take us to Dorothy. We wish to see mother."

"Right away."

Within the blink of an eye, Lillia and Rion were transported to a long hall with many doors. "Well, she must be behind one of these doors then." Said Rion with little emotion. Since they had no other way of finding her, they began to open every door they came across and began to hope that they would find Dorothy. Rion was tired of this constant battle against all these people. He was tired of seeing people die.

But the worst thing, he thought, about this entire week. Is that he was being forced into killing people he didnt even know. The majority of them even seemed really nice. But they were intent on their "destiny" and that stood in the way of what Rion was trying to do. So, he had to kill them. He didn't even know them! He was scared. The way he saw it, if he could destroy Dorothy, then this fighting would stop. He could go home with Lillia and be safe and happy. But first he had to take care of a few things.

ChrisOfTheDead - January 5, 2005 10:28 PM (GMT)
Michaels squad had barely managed to escape the plasma turrets and strange biomechs that crossed their path. From then on the city seemed completely desolate, devoid of any and all life. Pressing his battered mecha forward, Michael came fave to face with one of the outlying spires that sorrounded the mushroom tower. Shouldering the detonator he opened the cockpit to his mecha and hopped out. Once on the ground he entered the spire and unholstered his small pulse blaster. Making his way into the darkness beneath the spire and towards his goal, Michael only hoped he wouldnt encounter any strange creatures down here.

Meanwhile

The internal clock read twenty minutes to mission end. The hunter didnt have time to play with relics of the past. Activating the mini boosters on the armors backside, the hunter launched into the air again and split into the multicolored shadows as it flew towards the mushroom tower. The hunter was told to keep Commaner Michael Shard alive long enough to plant the detonator in the towers underground power room. Flying past bodies of humans and beasts alike the Hunter kept its thoughts on the mission, still, the resemblance to a scene from its past was uncanny.

OOC: Hmm, I think i'll try my hand in this one, I'll even bring back My Metroid char.... well, almost, i'll make a few changes to him.

IC: A yellow and black armored figure flies about 10 feet above a deserted street, heading towards the big tower in the middle of the city. How he got to this city he didn't know, he didn't even know a lot about himself, he only knew his name was Rad and that he was a soldier, he wasn't even sure he had a last name, the one thing he did remember besides his name, was that this armor was a living weapon, and he knew how to use it. He didn't know why he was heading towards the tower but he felt it was important.

As he was flying his head sensors moved as he sensed something up ahead attacking several people trying to flee the city, he didn't know what it was, but he chose to go investigate, it was his duty to protect those in need. Less than a minute later he had found the thing and landed about 10 feet infront of it. As he looked at it and noticed that withthe way it moved and acted, it seemed almost mindless, as if it could only move and kill, the blades on hsi arm extended as he ran past the thing, knowing that it was too stupid to try and reason with, he had to destroy it. he lashed out with his right blade, and chopped its arm off, then swing around with his left, decapitating it, as its dead body dropped to the ground, the control medal on his forehead glowed as impure air blew out of the breather vents on his face.

He then took off towards the tower again, silently hoping there was something more... worthy, for him to fight there.

OOC: For his armor, think Guyver 1, cept yellow with black organisms, almost guyver 2-ish.

Rion and Lillia continued to check every door in the hallway, they finally got to the end of the hall. The last door they had to check. If this door didn't have Dorothy in it, then they had been tricked by the computer, and would have to find a way to another hallway to check. Rion opened the door, and sure enough, it opened up into a large circular room reminescent of the room that Proffessor Xavier uses to find other mutants. There was a large mechanical visage connected to the far end of the room against the wall. It appeared to be a giant woman, but it was obvious it was mechanical as well. As the two walked forward, it came to life and spoke. "Ah, Rion, you've brought Lillia to me. I knew you wouldn't fail me. Now do your mother one more favor."

"What do you want?"

"Kill her, right now. I haven't been able to sleep at all. She has had me so worried, because of that virus. She has caused your mother grief, now take revenge for me and kill her." Rion looked momentarily then turned to Dorothy and said, "No"

"What did you say? Did you say NO?!? How dare you defy your mother? I am your God, I created you! You cannot defy your God. You cannot go against the destiny I lay for you. It is impossible!" Dorothy began to move around. The upper body in very jerky movements, and the arms flailing about in a very human way. Then, Dorothy began to bring her hand back, much in the way that a woman would when she was about to slap someone. "For your insolance you will die! I cannot allow someone to defy me." With that Dorothy swung her arm towards Rion intending to smack him across the room at her full force. As she came down Rion began to move forward towards what appeared to be a control pannel. Lillia followed him. Dorothy was only about five feet from hitting the both of them, but Rion activated a force field with his telekinetic powers, which completely abolished the hand that was about to strike him. Dorothy drew back her arm and grabbed her wrist, still acting very human as though she could feel pain. "Look what you have done! You have harmed your mother. Where did I go wrong, why are you doing this to your mother?"

At this point Rion was tired of hearing the insistant whining of this machine. "Shut up! You aren't my mother! I am Rion, and my parents were human, just like I am human!" Rion and Lillia had now reached the control pannel. It was a large touch screen pannel. "Lillia, this is it." Rion placed his hand on the pannel and instructed Lillia to place her hand on his. "Now Lillia send me the virus, we will stop Dorothy now!" Lillia wasn't sure how to do it, but she felt a sudden pushing through her hand, and it seemed to go into Rion, then Rion screamed and kept his hand on the pannel. It could be seen that both Rion and Dorothy were in great pain. Dorothy was holding her head with her only hand left. Rion's eyes lit up, and it appeared that a coding was going through them, traveling through his body into the pannel. He was passing the virus with the execution code into the computer which was directly connected to Dorothy. This was it, they were finally going to stop Dorothy. Then, Dorothy began to collapse inwards on herself. Her entire self started to dissolve. Rion was also beginning to feel the effects of the virus as well though. He was being lifted up into the air, silver lines appearing all over his face. The silver lines looked to be veins, and were beginning to cover his entire body.

At this point, Dorothy, was almost completely dissolved. Then there was a huge explosion. And Dorothy was gone, along with half the room. Rion was flung back onto the walkway. Lillia caught him, and held him. "Rion! Rion! Rion, get up, we did it! We killed Dorothy. We can finally live in peace! Rion. Rion!" Lillia started to panic, Rion was getting very cold. "Rion, no you can't leave me! What will I do without you?!? Rion!"

Solitude started to head off in pursuit of the huinter when he heard the arrival of the yellow and black being just behind them. With his crimson blades full of life he spun into a whirlwind motions, his blades coming dangerously close to the golden flesh of this new arrival. "Just who are you boy,and why are you here" Solitude Redux asked of his potential foe...

WarriorZoalord - January 13, 2005 01:32 AM (GMT)
OOC: Managed to get some time before i get hauled off to the restaurant....

IC: Rad stops and looks at Solitude, his head sensors twitching as he receives some info on the being infront of him, seemingly a mechanical organic hybrid of some kind, but what exactly he wasnt sure. "My name is Rad, I'm a soldier, and quiet frankly I'm not sure why I am here, I just know it's important whatever it is." His arms fold over his chest as he looks at the Reploid, his blades in there dormant mode right now. "Now, you care to answer the same questions?"

Gall_4185 - January 18, 2005 04:04 AM (GMT)
Solitude's mechanical chest heaved as he breathed in the air,his eyes searching every aspect of this stranger for any clues. Solitude's own mind was a blank canvas, but his instincts told him to be wary around unknowns. His crimson blades were still searing the air around him as he sized up the yellow and ebon warrior. "My original name is of no real importance,as I have no memory of that life. Since my body became what it now is,I have taken to calling myself Solitude Redux" The haunting emerald eyes of the bio-reploid stared at Rad,neither trusting nor agressive in nature...
