Riven - December 4, 2004 12:04 PM (GMT)
Check this out, this for the Ansem Report Forum in their RPG section
http://66.235.209.90/forums/viewtopic.php?...ae4cd88a4f7e226Now how fucking, strick is this? You have to have your RPG's approved by people that probably won't even play in it, plue you have to get your characters approved to (well you had to at least before the site went bunndy on their asses. These people wouldn't know how to make a fun RPG if it swam up and bit them on the arse!!
:::EDIT::::
Here are the RPG Forum rules

the rule about not controling other peoples chars would pretty much eliminate ALL of us from RPing there. hehehe.

I've accually played in several places in the past with rules like that.. strict rules like that help keep out people like Cyber/Shelly (or Loki, for you battlecubers).. but they tend to attract people like TGW...
So in otherwords.. you don't have as many people who enjoy munchkinism for no good reason.. but you'll get around 10 times the amount of eletists. Personally.. I'ld rather have to deal with munchkins than eletists.. Neither of them leave a plesent aftertaste.. but munchkins only dive you indigestion. Too many Eletists will give you colon cancer.

hehe, that's cute bloodstorm.
I can understand rules like the ones we use, but too much control removes all fun from RPG'ing <_<

I prefer a system that allows for a middle ground. Give us a reason for insane power levels and we probably won't kill you on sight. But that place seems to take things too far wiht boxing their members in. WE like being able to go out on a limb and improvise something,it's part of the fun of RP'ing here
Tsiriel - December 6, 2004 06:54 PM (GMT)
exactly, we have plenty of freedom here, and look at how well things work out. Sure, every once and a while something goes awry, but those are far in between. Our little rpg community here works well together and that's all that matters :beers:
Gall_4185 - December 6, 2004 06:56 PM (GMT)
Amen to that bub, amen to that :beers:
Here's hoping we continue to draw in fresh meat on a regular basis :bite:
Kaiser Dragoon - December 6, 2004 07:27 PM (GMT)
Aye we need to draw fresh blood, but not only from one place, we definately need to sink our claws and fangs into other places to draw more blood as well :Arrr:

Hahahahahaha...you can't even POST in the RPG discussion if you're not a member of that user group. I know that we didn't have somewhere for non members to post(up until 2 minutes ago) but you have to be approved to even ask about RP's there. Bollocks to that :beers:

I like this bit:

Role Playing Crazy about Roleplaying? So are a few of us. Be sure to follow the rules closely if you want it to be enjoyable. Moderators Ryuu Tenshi, Cicatriz, Site Staff |
Follow the rules so it's enjoyable, hhhmmm, I didn't know having your balls (or breasts for any female members so they may follow this metaphor too B) ) and creation sucked out your head was enjoable, did any of you?

Yeah I agree with this fully, you can't be too lose or too strict as people at both ends will alwas fuck it up for others but you have to try and get it in the middle like here and I think the biggest reason why it works here as celestial said is because we all petty much get along great.
Sorry if I 'm babbling but I'm trying to say that cause we all get along so well is because we're all on the same basic wave length, we like having freedom but we know when to get a grip but also the admins or mods aren't just admins or mods, they're just rpgers like us that happen to be running the place. To put it flatly, you can go to a lot of boards and see a large barrier between admins/mods and the members but that isn't the case here case we're all the same and being all the same we all want the same thing

I actually PMed one of the moderators about how unreasonable the rules were and this is what he had to say.
Apparently they used to have loose rules according to this mod, probably like ours, but people were abusing that section of the forum, making OOC posts in RPG's, using other peoples characters and godmoding (did I spell that term right.)
So according to him, these new rules are there for their own good.
My reply to this was, that those rules are the same thing as being a tyrant overlord, running his subjects and/ or kingdom into the ground.
He told me I had no idea what I was talking about and then said along the lines of, if I want to RPG with n00bs, I should find somewhere else to RPG, because there forum is only for, and I quote "Proffessionals."
What kind of fuck wit is this guy!!
I swear if I was a hacker, I would bring that forum down in a nano second for that fucking comment.

Well Riven.. I think I allready mentioned the eletists.. right?
Besides.. We have our way of playing.. they have theirs.. Who's to say which way is "right"? (We all know they'ld think thier way is right, while we think they're a bunch of wankers.. so it's all good.)
I say we just leave them alone.. We're fine without them.
Although If one wanted to nitpick.. send him a responce and tell him that unless the people who play there get paid to play there.. then he needs to shut it down. (Afterall.. a "professional" is someone who gets paid to do what they do.. and if he's not paying anyone to play there, then their aren't any real professional roleplayers) [666]
