In the year of the turrets, a great host will come from the east like a plague of locusts. So sayeth the wise Alaundo.
When shadows descend upon the lands, our divine lords will walk alongside us as equals. So sayeth the great Alaundo.
The Wyrm shall wander the earth and such a pestilence will follow in his wake that all who knows of his passing shall be struck down by the plague. So sayeth the wise Alaundo.
When conflict sweeps across the Dales the great lizards of the north shall descend with fire and fury. So sayeth the great Alaundo.
The Lord of Murder shall perish, but in his doom he shall spawn a score of mortal progeny. Chaos will be sown from their passage. So sayeth the wise Alaundo
Candlekeep

The forest was eerily quiet as the young woman walked through it quietly, dressed in a black cloak and leathers beneath it, she took no notice of the lack of animal noises and kept her eyes straight ahead, ever ready to take out the longbow strapped to her back and unleash a hail storm of arrows at anything that might take a fanzy to killing her. Although the big, dangerous looking scythe she carried in a special sheath on her back was more then enough to ward off would be attackers.
She was Talia Fornia.
After another half hour of travel she came to an area where a stream ran past freely and the tree's were more spaced out and a few boulders laid about. It only took her a few seconds to make up her mind, and straight away she went to the stream and took a water skin off her belt and placed it in the stream, filling it with water and then going over to a boulder and sitting down as she refreshed herself with the cool liquid as she pushed her hood back, letting a mass of black blue hair fall out.
Many thoughts went through her mind as she sat there, listening for any sounds at all but except for the noise of the water flowing down stream, there were no sounds to be heard. She wasn't surprised, it was usually like this when she travelled through woods and forests
Suddenly a loud snap echoed through the air and her head shot up in time to see three large men walk from the thick tree's. All three were large, fat bellied men with greesy skin that made her want to be sick from the mere sight of them. Two were bald and the third had a single long braid of hair that fell down his back, but something they all had in common was that their faces all seemed to be squashed inward while the rest of their faces were large, like someone had made their faces from clay but hadn't shaped them properly.
"Barbarians" she muttered with disgust as she watched them.
"Well look what we have here" one said in a deep booming voice. "A pretty little mouse to have some fun with" he laughed, the other two following suit.
"Give me a break" Talia groaned as she slowly stood up and went to walk off, the sword of a large greatsword being drawn was the only thing that stopped her and she turned to see one lift a double ended orc axe and the other draw a falchion sword. "You have got to be kidding me?" she said to them drily.
"we've not had a woman for almost two months little mouse, and we don't mind if yah not breathin" said the first one, the one with the Greatsword.
"Yeah, whatever" she said tiredly and pulled her Scythe out of its sheath.
The three barbarians charged forth with their weapons raised. Talia though kept a calm expression as she suddenly lunged forth, slashing three times in rapid succession before she tumbled forward and rolled to her feet, the three human barbarians slowly stopping in their tracks, before crying out in pain and toppling forward, blood and intestines spewing out of their stomach from the open wounds on their stomachs.
"I probably should have told them not to fuck with me.... oh well" she shrugged and then continued on her way, knowing she couldn't be anymore then half a days walk from the next town.

A lone figure was seen walking along the road to Baulder's Gate, having heard strange rumors about evil things happening in the area around Baulder's Gate, so he descided to investigate and see if these rumor's were true. If they were true then he would put a stop to whatever's causing these evil deeds to be happening because he was a paladin, a Human named Brejor Flek, it was his sworn duty to smite evil wherever it was found.
As he walked he was thinking of the many things that could be causing this evuil, but then of course he had to know what was happening before putting a name to what was causing it.... if anything was wrong at all, for all he knew he was being led on and there was nothing going on.
He wishes that he would have been able to get a horse before setting out, but none were available at the time of his departure and he didn't want to have to wait a week to set out so he bought some supplies and headed towards Baulder's Gate on foot, he stops suddenly as he see's shadows moving about infront of him and he stops in his tracks and puts a hand on the hilt of his sword before calling out. "Who goes there! Show yourself!' As he waits he sees a figure slowly coming towards him, and it is....
OOC: heh, let one of you fill it in if you want to run upon him, if not I'll do it myself with my next post ^-^

A woosh of air was all the young paladin heard as the figure in the shadows suddenly and seemingly flew over him with tremendous speed, landing behind him and grabbing his head in a head lock from behind. He started to struggle before a scythe blade poked between his legs near his, rather vital bits, causing him to still immediately.
"So what are you going to do now young Paladin?" Talia asked with a smirk.
The paladin seemed surprised that his attacker was a woman but quickly recomposed himself. "Let go of me at once you wretched woman" he growled.
"I will, but only if your not going to try and hurt me?" she said innocently.
"Unless your planning on commiting evil, then no I won't hurt you" she replied shortly, quiet clearly annoyed at his current situation.
"Aww, your boring" Talia sighed, but with drew her scythe and let go of him. She brushed a lock of hair from her eyes and looked at him. "You heading to Baldur's Gate?"
WarriorZoalord - December 4, 2004 07:31 AM (GMT)
Grwols slightly as he steps away from his attacker and turns to face her, he seems to stare for a few seconds then blinks a bit as he answers her question.
"Yes I am heading to Baulder's gate, I heard rumors of Evil happening there, so I descided to go there and cinvestigate the city to see if the rumors are true. If they are I plan on putting a stop to there evil. Why do you ask, do you know something about whats going on in Baulders Gate?"
He folds his arms over his chest and watches her, still a bit shocked atthe fact thata woman got the best of him..... but then again there were many great warriors who were women throughout the ages, he continues to stare at her as he waits for the womans answer to his question, hsi eyes locked on hers so that he wont be looking att he rest of her body, less he be tempted.

Talia yawned, stretching her arms above her head and flaunting her assets around, causing the paladin to blush slightly.
"Something evil is always going on in Baldur's Gate, but yeah, I've heard some fragemented rumors of something going on, not too sure what, but where evil roams, there's surely going to be someone who wants to hire a body guard or someone that needs to be killed and thats right up my alley" she explained pushing the folds of her cloak back over her shoulders so it was more of a cape.
Paladin looked at her with disgust. "You vulga woman, how can you be so indifferent about death?!"
"Very easily" she said with an amused grin. "I need money and being a mercenary is an easy way to that end, sure there are other ways to get money, but that means letting strangers touch my body, and that makes me feel dirty. Which reminds me, if you keep staring at my breasts that way, I'm going to start charging holy boy."
WarriorZoalord - December 4, 2004 11:16 AM (GMT)
Turns hsi back to her and starts walking towards Baulder's Gate once more. "Thanks for the help lady now I know something's going on there, See you around chances are I'll probably be running into you again, seeing as I'm always traveling."
With that he walks off leaving a somewhat stunned looking Talia just standing in the middle of the road, shakes his head clear as he thinks, wondering if that woman mighta slipped him a love potion or something cause now he's feeling all weird since talking to her.
Several hours later he stops for a rest and pulls out his map, calculating how far from Baulder's Gate he is while eating some of the food he bought before setting out. "Hmmm, i should be there soon, either tonight, or by early morning...."

"....Or if you keep going you could have been there within an hour" he looked up with a started grin and found Talia sitting in a tree, lounging back on the branch with a small smirk on her face.
"Wha..... what are you doing here?!" he demanded irritably.
"As long as we're going to the same place we may as well go together no?" she said as she rolled to the side and fell out of the tree, landing in a crouch. "I'm interested, are all Paladins slow like you? Or is the whole, fighting for holy justice making you a bit thick, I find religion tends to dull one's mind" she said palyfully.
"Why are you following me?" he asked her with a sour expression.
"Because its fun to tease you" she shrugged, sticking her chest out a little. "Now are we heading for Baldur's Gate or what?" she asked as she spun around, twirling her cloak slightly and breifly revealing her ass, causing the paladin to gulp silently.

Journal Entry.....
Todays Journal entry is not a happy one, once again I am reminded of my failing health, it appears my age is finally catching me. Today once again I took a fall at the front bench, however Malous was not there by good grace. I do not worry for myself but for him, when I am gone I worry for what might become of him.
Now when I look at him, it is hard for me to imagine the way he was when I first found him even as I know what he is and what is inside him. He has grown to something fine from the wild half aged boy I found him as driven only by bloodlust, the discipline and tutition of my trade as I taught him as my pupil has instilled in him a will to suppress such things but I can tell such suppression comes at a price, as he suppresses these things conciously, they haunt him subconciously. He suffers from frequent nightmares, violent ones and those which are not alwas respectful who enter my place of work have conjured from him on rare occasion a sudden flash of rage which he can not alwas contain although I can thankfully say such chances for those situations are rare as he takes great peace in the solitude of the wood we are in round Balder's Gate, I believe to him they are a great retreat and he enjoys his surroundings here. I dare say it even he is entirely content and happy to remain here in our existence and I too in many ways.
I may have first found him by chance and then knowingly kept watch on him to make sure his potential does not come to a terrible frutition but he has come to be what I can only call my son. However these good thoughts bring back to my mind my main reason for this feeling of foreboding and that is my soon knowing passing. When that time comes what will happen and what will Malous do...........
End Entry
As the thick leather cover was closed over by the seasoned pair of hands that also placed down a quill the door opened and a man entered carrying a large gathering of wood on his left shoulder and a cutting axe in his right hand. He was of fair height and good stock as his strong form placed down the wood and with one downward thrust put the axe in it's resting log, he placed a few wood choppings in the fire and pulled his hood down revealing long tied back black hair and showing a rugged light stubble on his face, "Have any been in while I was gone"
The aged man by the leather book turned with a good smile, "No Malous, so far the day has been all my own, now go and smelt some fresh steel. The sword will not make it's self"
"As you wish, it will be ready soon", the fiqure called and removed his heavy cloak and put it to the side as he passed into the back of the structure and then exited to a room open to the wood holding a master forgers arsenal of tools for his craft to light a fire.........
WarriorZoalord - December 5, 2004 06:18 AM (GMT)
As the paladin packs his things up he yawns a bit tiredly, he's been on the road for almost a full day now, he needed some sleep, which is the main reason why he stopped, but if this woman was going to be accompanying him, then he'd rather wait until they reached the town to rest.
He silently wonders if the Gods thrust this woman upon him sas some kind of test... to see if he is worthy of the title of paladin, he slings his pack back over his shoulder, lost in thought about why this woman would want to be with him as he journeys onward towards Baulder's Gate, he higfhly doubts it would be only an hour to get to the city, thinking she just said that in an attempt to get him mad.
His feet were starting to drag as the lack of sleep starts to getto him, he silently hopes that he would run into a house, the town, anything soon, hewanted to sleep, it wouldn't be good if he fell asleep and was killed by some beast as he slept, every so often he checks behind him, just to see her walking there..... how he wished that she wasn't there, jusdging b the way she moves and acts, it seems to him that hersole purpose of coming with him would be an attempt to corrupt him, but he won't be giving in that easy. He looks ahead of him again as he yawns, wondering when they will be getting to the city.

While he was in the middle of yawn, Talia came up quickly beside Brejor and slapped him on the back, startling him awake and almost causing him to fall flat on his face from the pure force of the hit.
"Not going to sleep on me are ya?" she asked.
He spun around in anger and growled lowly at her, but she wasn't fazed at all by his reaction, instead she just laughed at him, not that he saw the funny side of it at all.
"Oh come on, I was only making sure you only stayed awake. You could hurt yourself if you fell asleep while walking" she said innocently.
"Is your soul purpose for being, only to annoy me?" he asked heatedly.
"Meow" she replied with a big smile, grating his nerves even more.
"Leave me alone!" he snapped and stormed off, with Talia close behind.
"Oh come on, I'm not that bad once you get to know me, though to really get to know me I'll have to charge you and thats a lot more expensive then looking at my clothed body" she said, raising her scythe just in time to catch his sword as he drew and took a swing at her, but still she kept a smile on her face. "Now, now, killing me like that would be considered cold blooded murder, not very becoming of a paladin" she said in a sing song tone of voice.
"What do you want of me?" he said quietly, trying to contain his anger.
"Look, we can part ways at the city, but there is an unusualy amount of barabians about lately, and while I'm more then capable of taking care of myself against a number of enemies like them, my instincts, or rather my women's intutition is telling me to at least make the last leg of my journey to Baldur's Gate in the company of another, and seeing as your the only other person around...." she gestured around them. "You'll have to do, personally you high and might holy warriors make my arse itch, but we can't have everything."
"Fine then" he said, withdrawing his sword.
"Fine then what? Fine we'll travel the rest of the way to Baldur's Gate or Fine you want to sleep with me?" she asked with a catty smile, tugging seductively at the leather laces that tied her shirt up in the front.
Brejor threw his hands in the air in frustration as his face went a scarlet red from embarrassement, causing Talia to giggle loudly in triumph as they started off again.
WarriorZoalord - December 5, 2004 09:19 AM (GMT)
He mutters to himself as he continues his walking, wishing that she would just leave him here and now, but she already said she wouldn't leave until they got to the city.... "when we get tot he city... you better leave me alone, like you said you would...."
The fact that he would soon be ditching this increasingly annoying woman was the only thing that kept him awake, and probably her alive, especially after she tried to get his attention by removing her top and running around him as he walked, he watched her for the first pass or two, then just shook his head and continued to walk, muttering about crazy women as he watches her trip over the roots of a tree.
After what seemed like ages because of his companions constant ploys at getting him to stare at her, they finally reach the gates of the city, he stops there and just looks for a while, smirking a bit. "finally, never thought I'd get here..." With that he goes through the gate and into the city, first thing he looks for is the inn.
Gall_4185 - December 5, 2004 06:57 PM (GMT)
Dark mist sprayed across his face as his ebon blade sliced through the throat of his final Rival. The smoky drifts swept aside, revealing a Throne of Blood,Tendons and Bone. Dried and cracked pools of blood covered the dark granite stairs. His heavy boots caused a sickening crunch as he reveled in his asencion. The faint specter of his bastard father faded away at his feral growl. Blood coursed across the surface of his eyes as his divine birthright came to pass...The corpes of countless siblings left butchered in his wake...
Gallatheing sprang up,his sheets soaked in sweat. Revulsion rolled through his stomach as he recalled the vision. He had to find more about what this all meant, but he knew that he couldn't stay in the Waterdhavian Guard. How could one so cursed with bloodlust be charged with protecting the innocent? Dawn found him walking out the southern gate of the city, and midday found him many miles along his road to Baldur's Gate...
Tsiriel - December 6, 2004 06:25 PM (GMT)
Mitiger trudged along through the city, a strange lonely feeling flowing around him. What do I hope to accomplish here? I'll not find what I seek within these walls He thought, minding his own. Finally he came upon the modest inn. He had traveled long and hard, and both he and his blade were tired.
Inside he strolled up to the bar and signaled for a drink with his hand. The barkeep grunted and left his quaint conversation to waddle over to the newcomer with a glass and bottle. Mitiger set some coins on the table, "I would also appreciate a room for a few days."
The barkeep grunted again, "You can take room four upstairs." He grabbed at the coins greedilly, then waddled back over to his conversation.
Sparky - December 6, 2004 10:40 PM (GMT)
Malous burst open the large clay box like burner from one side at the bottom and stabbed in with the poker drawing it back letting the molten metal run out into a lightly done ditch at the base where it was cracked open, the almost orange white thick viscious fluid slowly moved it's way along dragging with it the impurites and small peices of carcoal.
He placed the poker down to a large robust wooden table and dipped his blackened hands in a barrel of water rubbing them off before catching up an old peice of cloth from the same wooden table as the poker lay on and wiped the hot sweat from his face.
The steel now smelted he'd wait till tomorow before removing the impurites and hammering a peice for the sword but right now he'd need to travel into town for some things, he didn't know why. In his opinion they had everything they needed right there in the wood but his teacher alwas had a hinkering for some things in the town but there was also the case of the recently petitioned short sword that was ordered, it was to be delivered so two could be done at once.
Malous opened a door from the forge to an open side room it had nothing much in it but a small table about knee high and beside it was a basin of water. Across the room was a table that lined the wall, on it was a large collection of stone slabs, perhaps maybe 17 in count and two bowls of powdered stone, both extremely fine but one more than the other, to the right angled wall was another table and on that was something long wrapped in strong cloth. Malous unwrapped the cloth and partially slide it out of the sheath just to check the edge and blades face for any scratches. He had finished polishing it the night before and checked it then but just wanted to check it over one last time.
He sheathed it quickly and wrappd it up fast in the cloth before walking back into the forge and then the front of the wooden structure placing it down on the front, "Your going into town now"
"Yes, I'm taking the short sword along too, I may aswell take it with me if I'm going into town" said Malous as he put some cloth's on to keep him warm, he wasn't in the forge now and would certainly feel the cold when he went out. He didn't think he would need armaments but it would be better safe than sorry, he packed a battle axe on his back and tied a dagger to his side. Not his usual choice but a dagger was useful for small defence and he wasn't planning on a full brawl in the town. He tied up the short sword and then tied it tight to his back before throwing on a thick heavy cloak. Wearing that he could trudge through anything that came down on him, Malous put the hood up and opened the door.
"Remember to visit my friend at the inn" called the older man beside a leather covered journal.
"It'll be the first thing I do when I get there" answered Malous with a smile and walked out shutting the door. He started the small trek to the town taking a deep breath of air, it's freshness and coolness made him feel good as he walked.
WarriorZoalord - December 6, 2004 11:09 PM (GMT)
After a short search he finally finds the inn in the town andopens the door before walking in, he glances around the place beforedragging his tired form to the counter. "How much for a room?" he asked the receptionist.
"8 gold for the room, and an extra 3 for anything else." The receptionist replied.
"Ok, I'll take a room, I'll even through in a little extra if you can make sure I don't get disturbed, it was a long trip here." He tossed 10 gold peices onto the counter and follows the receptionist to his room where he goes in and collapses onto the bed, promptly falling asleep.
Tydorei Belouve - December 6, 2004 11:40 PM (GMT)
The barkeep grunted "You can take room four upstairs." He grabbed at the coins greedilly, then waddled back over to his conversation. He was talking to a female who had a robe covering all her assets. She was looking at man with the strange ruby-red eyes through her hood.
"Wihats with you and strangers?" The keep said
"Nothing really. I just haven't left Baldur's Gate before... I just want to see the world you know... and its many riches." Kelathia said
"Naw... the world is dangerous. You should return to the Lady's House Kela. At the Lady's House you were provided a house and food. And on top of that was paid well. It was also a honest living. Men like young gals like you." The barkeep said.
"It was a pathetic living." Kelathia said
"And what you do isn't." Keep
"They treated me like..." Kelathia was cut off.
A man with blonde hair and brown eyes and small scar on his left cheek walked in looking very fatigued. "how much for a room?" Brejor asked.
"8 gold for the room, and an extra 3 for anything else." Barkeep said
"Ok, I'll take a room, I'll even through in a little extra if you can make sure I don't get disturbed, it was a long trip here." He tossed 10 gold peices onto the counter and the keep summons a receptionist to show him to his room where he goes in and collapses onto the bed, promptly falling asleep.
The barkeep went back to Kelathia.
"I'm trying say that... I can't be houseing or feeding you any more..." The barkeep said
"But I thought..." Kela started
"Yer favors aren't enough no more. Customers aren't staying nights much anymore since when they wake up there coins be missin. Your hurtin my bussiness." keep said.
"I'll start giving some of the coins I steal." Kela said
"No... you can stay tonight, but tommorow best find somewhere else to stay Maven." keep
Kelathia got up and walked up the stairs to room five. The lock was locked but she had picked these lots many times before and opened the door like she had the key. Brejor was knocked out sleep on the bed, just as Kelathia expected. Kela locked the door behind her and went through all his things silently and picked his pokets searching for vauluables. He seemed to be a holy man. She put his coins in her purse and took his three light healing potions. Thats all he had she wanted.
"Hmm... Seems the gods frowned upon you today. May the they smile on you another day." Kelathia said as she walks out of the room.
Kelathia walked down the stairs likeing the new weight of her purse.

OOC: For those of you wondering if this all works.. Bards are sort of a jack of all trades. Diplomats, pickpockets, Musicians, and a bit of magic.. and are even decent fighters if needed...
________________________________________________________________________
A lone figure sat upright a chair in the inn, sipping on a wine. He had been evesdropping on the conversation between the female theif and the innkeep without drawing too much attention to himself.. To someone who made it his trade to converse and interact with others.. the others were all but an open book to be read by those who know how. Well Well.. I had hear grumblings about people loosing some cash to an unknown source around here.. He thought to himself.
He dropped a couple coppers on the table and then left for the stairs, following the girl just far enough back to avoid unwanted suspiscion. He pulled out his instrument and leaned on a wall, pretending to tune the mandolin as he waiting for the theif to emerge from one room looking a little happy with herself, then enter her own room.
He then waited a couple moments, then stepped up to the door, pulling out a couple picks hidden in his instrument, and began to pick the lock. Being a low class in, the lock gave way easily enough. He looked around to make sure no one was watching, then snuck into her room, closing the door quietly behind him.
The girl looked up alarmed, not expecting her own room to be broken into, and she reached for a weapon, but the figure in the room held out his hands openly show he was unarmed.. for the moment. "Relax.. I'm not here to fight" He said, his voice strong, melodious, and perhaps had a hint of power behind it. "You've been the one picking coins from the various patrons, aren't you" He said in a whisper, yet it was obviously not a question.
"Now I'm ussually a good judge of character" he continued "so I'ld be willing to be the guy next door is a man of the cloth.. a paladin if I'm not mistaken... he just carries himself like he's better than everyone like their entire ilk does.. You've got guts to steal from one, girl.. If he finds out about you it could mean all kinds of condemnation." He folds his arms over his chest and cricks his neck cassually.
"I wonder if I should wake him up and tell him his stuff is missing?" He asked cassually. "Nah.. too messy.. " He continued without giving Kelathia room to get a single word in. "Allthough it's still an option"
"What do you want?" She growled out under her breath.
Chad smiled to himself, and gave her a half bow. "Like yourself, I've been feeling quite a bit of wonderlust lately.. aquireing the itch to travel.. to see the world.. find inspiration for all kinds of song.. well.. that last part's is more of my own goal.. but it's still good.."
"Oh great.. a bloody bard" Kelthia rolled her eyes.
"Indeed that may be my profession.. and it's a handy one at that.. Picture this, if you will.. Your in a large crowd.. and need a few gold for lunch.. yet in a large enough crowd your sure to get caught, yes? What you need is a friendly distraction.. something like a wondering minstral to draw the attention way from an unnasuming girl like yourself.. leaving you free to cut a couple purses without as much worry"
"It is an idea.. but what shall you do should I refuse?"
Chad smiled. "Then we return to the mention of the sleeping paladin in the next room" Kelthia weighed her options.. if she attacked, it'ld rouse suspicion.. lickily attracting the paladin nearby.. If she refused.. again, he'ld manage to wake up the paladin.. She'ld have to agree.. for now.. perhaps she'ld find a way to get rid of him later.. Then again.. he might just be benaficial...
Chad held out his hand "Name's Chadwick.. but just call me Chad" He grinned. "I beleave I heard the innkeep mention your name.. but I didn't catch it in it's entirety... what is it again?"
"Kelathia" She responded, mind still playing over possable scenarios.
__________________________________________________________________
OOC: I've got an amusing little thing set up that requires Chad to befriend Kalathia.. Yet I'll leave her final choice up to Tyde. Keep in mind that while Kelathia might be a little smarter, Chad's made sure she knows her options.. and while she might be able to outthink him.. his ability to fast talk himself out of the hotseat will even things out.
Yet that was a rather nice post Tyde.. looks like you've got a character who won't be pushed around quite as easy in this one.. Might be fun to see what develops here.. (and just for the Record.. Chad's not interested in sex.. so if she tries to do anything involving that, he'll deffinatly refuse. B) )

Outside of Baldur's Gate, deep in the southern regions of the forrest a giant humanoid creature sits patiently on a large boulder. The once green grass around it was now choked in a sea of red blood, it came from a mangled carcass of a male deer that it had slain. Most of it's flesh had been stripped by what looked to be demonic fang marks. The half Orc tore out the animal's faintly beating heart with the knife his father gave him. Thrall whispered the ancient blessing to the Orc god Gruumsh for this nurishment.
As he swallowed the heart whole and wiped his putrid orc green lips with the back of his hand he heard a branch snap not a few steps away from him. He spun around in time to be tackled by a mauling bear, which had smelt the freshly slain carcass.
Roars were exchanged along with clawed swipes on both party's behalf tearing into flesh as the bear's fanged snout tried to clamp down on the Orc's throat. Inches away the Orc warrior managed to free both of his hands and grab the snout and wrench the bear off of him with a swift jerk which would've torn out most mortal's spines.
Without a second thought for his own personal safety Thrall charged the bear as it staggered to its own four paws. It let out a disconcerting roar as Thrall's enormous arms wrapped around its neck and began to choke the life out of it. The bear gave yet another thunderous display of natural strength and with an impressive swipe threw Thrall into a tree.
Thrall's haunting eyes, half human, half Orc, blazed with a unified hellish rage as he lunged forward once more with his knife brandished in his left hand. The bear swung at him with its left paw only to be blocked by Thrall's right forearm and then thrust the rusty knife deep into the creature's heart, before the creature could suffer from the pain of bleeding out, Thrall wrapped his thick bisceps around the creature's neck and snapped it with a tremendous display of strength. The echo reverberated throughout the forrest and even those within Baldur's Gate heard a faint snapping noise whistle through the wind.
Thrall let out a thunderous warcry of victory as he lifted the dead bear above his head once more demonstrating his commanding strength before praising Gruumsh for his victory and devoured the creature's heart and skinned it to create a thick fur pelt that fit his large frame perfectly.
He looked at his wounds, nothing serious but he would need to acquire some potions within Baldur in order to ensure they healed properly. With that, he stalked back up to his original skinning site, put on his newly fashioned deerskin boots and pulled up his bearskin gloves and began to trudge like an unstoppable dreadnought towards the fabled city of legend.

Harrian huslted behind Gorion as they rushed through the woodland outside Candlekeep. His foster father had urged them to leave shortly before sunset, hoping to use the cover of darkness to evade any who would hunt them. The pair barely made it a mile towards their destination of the Friendly Arm Inn when they were ambushed as they crossed a clearing. The pale moonlight shone on the half ogres as they advanced on the pair. Gorion blasted one with a series of magic missiles while Harrian slid past one,his short sword cleanly piercing the hulking ogre's liver, shedding intestines as he spun past. Harrian looked for his next target, until a sphere shifting colours slammed into his chest, stunning him. As he struggled to get back to his feet,he heard the arcane mumblings of his foster father. A bolt of lavender lightning blasted through the mage of the party, and Goriion began casting another spell, only to be interrupted by deathly black greatsword scything through the air. The venerable mage exhaled in a fine mist of blood, that hellish blade cutting through his meager protections along with his lungs and straight out his spine. The Giant warrior looked down at Harrian through the eye plates of his many horned helm, the spikes of his shoulders drawing sparks as he raised his blade high above his head to deal a deathblow...
Imoen knew she'd be in trouble for fleeing Candlekeep against Gorion's orders, but she couldn't stay among those dusty old tomes any longer. She peered into the clearing, the sound of battle causing her to shudder with fear. She finnally mounted the courage to peer into the clearing just in time to see Gorion fall. His killer turned on Harrian just as she brought her shortbow to bear. The giant warrior staggered backwards as a splinter from the arrow destroyed on of his eyes. Harrian kicked out with both feet and ran towards Imoen, grabbing her as he passed and dragging her on a more roundabout trail to the Friendly Arms Inn. He had to get in touch with Jaheria and Khalid, friends of Gorion...
Dozens of miles to the North,Gallathein Derúda marched through the Northern Gate of Baldur's Gate. A few innocent inquiries led him to the door of an humble looking Inn,Something in his Blood told him that there were others like him in here, some more tainted than others...

Kelathia sat there weighing her options given to her by Chad. He seemed nice enough. But Kela knew to well not to judge a book by its cover. What other choice did she have tho? Try to ask the stubbron man at the counter for more time... be at his mercy? Go back to the Lady's house... she didn't want to go back there thats for sure. Live on the streets again... alone. Or refuse and have him wake up the holy paldin. In the end, joining this Chadwick was really the only good option she had. She hated the way people always seemed to have the upperhand on her.
"You can call me Kela, Chad..." Kelathia said.
Chad still stood there holding out his hand and a grin crossed his face. Kela hated shaking hands with men, cause once they get a frim grip if they wanted a bit more Kela couldn't really stop them without her dagger. But Chad didn't seem to tough.
"So you have a place to stay around here Chad?" Kela said ignoring his hand. "And when are we going to start this little gig you have planed?
BloodStorm - December 7, 2004 03:36 AM (GMT)
Chad noticed she ignored his hand and ran it through his beard "Hrmm.. I suppose we could go to my mother's estate.. but it's awefully boring there.. She wants me to become a diplomat.. How dull!"
"Estate?"
"Yes.. I come from a well to do family.. lower noble class accually. " He took a look at her and could almost see the wheels turning in her head. "On second thought.. Let's not try that.. I don't want the gaurds chasing us if you see something you like and try to take it.. Mother's frighteningly knowlageable about everything she owns.. Some people say she gets it from her grandmother.. allthough I'm not sure what they mean by that.. but I've never met the woman. In any case.. you'ld be tempted to steal it.. mother would assume I did it.. as I've attempted to do so before.. and then send the gaurds after us.."
Kaya only blinked "Only a bard could speak so much and yet say so little"
"In any case.. It wouldn't be wise to try the plan around here.. too many people know my face around these parts.. we could set out in the morning to a smaller town.. perhaps stopping along the way at that inn south of here.. Friendly Arms, I think it's called. Supposed to be run by some gnomes... Let me tell you.. most gnomes appreciate a good song"
"Which leaves us out of luck" She jabbed at him verbally.
He glared at her for a moment "Maybe I should take you to see mother afterall.. She's always wanted me to marry a lass with a sharp tongue"
"Marry you? I'ld rather die" She pantomimed gagging.
"I'm pretty sure Mother could arrange that too" He nodded again.

With his jade green skin cloaked beneath the massive bear hide. Thrall approached the blacksmith alley where all notable metalworkers had set up shop. His entire face was cloaked under the bearskin pelt. He carefully reached into his hide overcoat and withdrew the rusted blade. He looked it over carefully, inch by inch as he turned it over and examined it carefully. It needed a good cleaning, he looked up and found an elder forger, one that would do.
He made his way through the crowd, he was self concious about being nearly two heads if not three, above the tallest person. He stopped at the forger's window and had to bent down to see the elder forger. His thick hand was cloaked by the massive bearskin as he relinquished hold of the knife and seven gold pieces.
"When will it be ready?"
"Within the hour." The elder man said a little curious about what kind of man had such a gruff voice and large stature.
A grunt came as his response and turned and lumbered back into the lively city's crowds, still sticking out like a swore thumb being heads above them. He turned the corner and saw the Apothecary's shop. With that he made in that general direction to acquire some healing slaves for his wounds.
Tydorei Belouve - December 7, 2004 10:30 PM (GMT)
A grin crossed Kela's face at that. Chadwick was like no one she meet before. He talked in a strange manner. He had some kind of charm about him... but thats a bards gift isn't it?
"And where are you staying tonight Chad? Have you got your own room here already, or... were you going to stay in here with me?" Kela said laying back on the bed in a semi suggestive manner. But at the same time pointed to some to extra blankets on the floor that he could make a bed out of. "Or did you have other plans for tonight?"
Chad stood thoughtfully for a moment. "Hmm...other plans... not really." Chad said still standing next to the door as if not noticing Kelathia's position.
"So Chad, your home, it sounded like you had a life many would envy? A life were... were you could make someone of your self very quickly... Tell me why did you go away from it." Kela said making space on the bed for Chad to sit. Kelathia never had a place to call home... and she couldn't imagine why would one run away from it, especailly the home Chad describe.

OOC: Here's my new redone post of what should have been here last night.
IC:
Malous walked into Balder's gate and looked at the crowds from beneath his cloak hood, he didn't really have a taste for the town, he only went in when he really needed to and to visit some people.
He moved his arm round under his cloak and his right hand appeared holding a robust pipe as he walked into an inn and dropped his hood, he stopped by one of the small candles near the wall to light his pipe taking a breathe and then continued to walk inside, the pipe reminded him of being in the forge and made being in the town more tolerable as it drowned out the taste and smells of the stale and stagnant air in some places although he wasnn't complaining about the smell of fresh cooking coming from somewhere in the back right now that the inn provided.
The powerful fiqure chewed on the end of the pipe as he got to the front counter, "Is Bellos in?"
"Aye Malous" said the lady, "I don't know what he's doing right now" continued the lady as she walked into the back through a door behind the counter.
"Bellos, Bellos. Get out the front, Malous is here" was the echoeing voice from the back, "Aye, shut up women. I'm a little busy but I'll be there"
"Don't shut up me or you'll be sleeping on the floor this night" Malous grinned and continued to chew, his fang like teeth grinding on a metal mouth peice as any wooden one would have been mangled by this point.
A man who could only have been Bellos emerged from the same door his wife went in a few moments before. He was in his late forties and had a beard that he could probaly use for a bed quilt, "Been a while since I saw your face here, is the old fart making to get things for him again?"
If anyone else had insulted Garrik that way they'd probaly be without a few limbs but Bellos was to Malous's knowledge the old forge masters oldest and closest friend so instead gave a small wry grin, "Something like that, he said to stop by and see you. I think he was hinting that you come by for a visit some time soon, I also need to deliver-"
"A sword" bellos finsihed the sentence for him, Malous cringed, "Thats potently aggrevating"
"I know" laughed the inn keeper loudly, "Anyway I'll make it up to you, here" Bellos reached under the counter for a large sack full of numerus items, the kind of stuff Garrik would have probaly sent malous for, "I knew he would probaly be sending you into town around this time so I picked a few things up and the rest I had round here, don't thank me in a rush now" he said as he struggled to lift the sack up on the counter, Malous gripped it with his left arm and easily placed it on his left shoulder.
Bellos rubbed his arms, "Wish I had some of that muscle" growned the inn keeper lightly.
"Came with everything else" said Malous as he tapped his fanged teeth with the metal mouth peice of the pipe and turned to leave, "Thanks Bellos, I'll see you around" he said as he walked out the door.
Bellos watched the half-orc leave. That was the weird thing about him, the man may be half orc but he didn't look like it apart from a few traits which were naturally hidden such as his fangs and pointed ears that his hair covered as it was tied back in a ponytail. Anyone passing him by would easily mistake him for a normal man of good physical staure....well exceptional physical stature as he was easily taller than most men who were potently built. Still he'd been round the town for some years now and on the occasion were most seen him they merely took him for the weaponsmith's apprentice and put his muscle to the metal work he must carry out, minus himself no-one ever thought otherwise. He just wished he wasn't so closed off, Malous didn't easily commiun with others and the exchange he just had was the most he'd ever loosen up to even someone he'd known for years. Even Garrik couldn't fully earn some trust from the man even after a few years from when he found him..............
Malous had pulled his hood up again and was going along the street to the household who had asked for the shortsword to be made, when he got there he opened the door and entered to be met with a gaurd who stuck a spear threateningly close to his head. Malous lowered his right hand and snubbed out the pipe before slowly dropping is hood, "If he doesn't want the sword anymore then tell your lord to tell me to my face, not have a gaurd threaten me on my entrance"
The Gaurd stepped back, he hadn't released thats what he was here for, "Sorry, I wasn't told anyone would be here today, just wait here and I'll get someone" said the gaurd as he walked up the hall pretty glad thats what he was here for, he didn't much fancy his chances against such a beast of a man.
Soon someone walked round the hall corner followed by the gaurd as he went back to his post, "This way please"
Malous just inwardly sighed, he didn't much have patience for the arrogance and stupidity of some nobles. He was lead to a room with an overly decorated door that opened to a large open like hall with a man sitting down by a table, "I've been hoping you''d be done by now"
Malous untied the shortsword to his back under his cloak and held it at his waist, "payment?"
"Of course" the man slide a bag of gold coins across the table and malous checked it's contents, "Thats less than what was agreed" Malous tossed the open bag back along the table where it spilled out and the coins rolled everywhere. The Nobleman stood up as the sword bearer walkedto the door, "I commisioned that sword and paid you for it"
"You paid less then that was it commissioned for so you don't get it, now hold your tongue, your voice aggraviates me" the Nobleman was just such insulted, he didn't know if anyone had ever so blatantly said anything to him like that before, he nodded for gaurd who moved in with his pear but Malous easily and very simply moved to side before with one downward hit with his right hand smashed the wooden spear and then grabbed the gaurd up round the neck who struggled for a minute against the invincible grip of his captor. Malous gave his hand a finall small shake as he let go of the mans neck and let him drop to the floor, "He's alive but if anyone else tries that, I'll snap they're legs and strangle you to death"
Malous opened the door and walked through the hall to the house door without any incident, he had what he wanted thanks to Bellos and now he was going to get out of this town.

Sun was rising once more as Gallathein walked through city gates, but he had been entering Baldur's Gate on this fine morn. His shoulder length dark hair swept down past his pointed ears to brush against his forest green cloak. Elven forged chainmail glistened brightly in the morning sun as the warrior strode towards the inn he had been told about. He scowled grimly as a brutish half orc crashed past him, mumbling about some dagger. Gallathein shook the genetic hatred which was spurred on by something else in his blood. The Waterdhavian Elf strode in,glancing around as he did so. He noticed a pair sitting in deep discussion about soemthing off in one corner of the bar but he paid them little heed for the time being. Walking up to the reception,he inquired about getting some breakfast sent over to an empty table. The warrior sat down to wait for his meal and noted the pointed ears on the other occupants of the bar area...

Chad, lacking anywhere else to spend the night, had slept on the floor.. Or what counted for sleep as a half-elf.. since they mainly just meditated in a trance like state to recover from a day's activities. This fact didn't keep Chad from dreaming though. Ussually his dreams were apt to bring him inspiration.. but not during this night.. No.. his dream was a huge chase scene.. he was being chased through the halls of his mother's estate by.. something.. Something big.. but denied form by his dream. The only thing he could make out for sure was an acrid odor filling the halls..
He had put it off as unimportant.. or wanted too, but it left him with a nagging feeling deep inside.
Now, he was was standing off in one corner of the main floor with Kelathia, waiting for the right moment to leave the building. The paladin has either woken up to find his money and some posessions missing, or will do so shortly.. so they would have to leave before too long..
"Well, Kela.. we should probobly get going" he said cassually "I've got something to check on at mother's place.. "
"You never told me why yould give a life like that up"
Chad shrugged "Alot of people would kill for the life I've lived.. but It's not for me.. I don't want to be tied down to a life in the city.. but she'll get worried if I leave town.. better for her to know now than never." Kela nodded, still not fully understanding why he wanted to leave.
As they walked out, Chis's attention was suddenly drawn to someone nearby, an elf, not a half-elf like himself.. Chad didn't know why.. but his mind was suddenly filled with song about that man.. and then it was gone. "That was weird" He mumbled to himself.. then exited the inn, Kelathia one step behind him. As they closed the door, they could hear the uproar upstairs of a man in anger.. Surely the paladin had discovered the robbery.
"Best to stick to the side alleys.. it's a little more dangerous.. but it'll be harder to track us if the innkeeper rats on your activities" He said, then turned and ran into a nearby alley. "Keep up.. If you fall behind and I don't notice, I won't be able to help if your attacked"
"I can take care of myself" she sneered, yet knew he was right.. they alleys were dangerious at times.. so company was a good idea.
WarriorZoalord - December 8, 2004 09:56 PM (GMT)
He groans a bit as he wakes up, and then look around as he realizes he collapsed into unconsiousness as soon as he hit the bed, not even bothering to get out of his armor. "well, thats not good..." With that he looks around and notices his bag was moved from where he had put it when he walked into the room. "what the....."
He stands and walks over to his bag and opens it, then rummages through it. "ARRRRRRG! I been robbed! for the love of Torm am I doomed to be plagued by such things my entire quest!!!!" With that he slings his bag over his shoulder and storms down and has a little word with the innkeeper about his missing money and potions.

Last Night
After acquiring the necessary slaves and potions from the shop, Thrall left without a word. He decided it would be best not to cause too much trouble, with his bloodline and such, it would present a serious problem. He continued to stalk through the fine city, observing the occupants and those who were merely passing through.
An hour later he came back to the forger. The elder man was no longer there, but in his stead was a young foolhardly youth, nearly two decades old. "Knufe?" He said in a low gutteral voice. The arrogant child sneered up at him and tossed him the knife, still rusted through.
Thrall looked down at the knife and then back up at the arrogant human. "It is unclean?"
"Glad you can see under that hood of yere's jackass. That rust aint' comin' off."
"Money?"
"What about it?"
"I want it back..."
"Get outta here before I call the guar-" Before he could finish his sentence the thick orc hand sped faster then any human eye could see, and grabbed the man by the throat in an iron band grip. The man tried to squeal for help but the other shops had closed up for the night. It was only these two left in the forger alleyway. With a primal sneer he suddenly dug his fingers into the man's throat and literally crushed his throat down to the spinal chord. Blood burst out of his eyes, mouth, nose and even his ears before Thrall smashed his bloodied head down against the rock caste counter.
He sneered at the fraility of the human's bones and reached down into the counter, and pulled out the pouch of gold from the day's sales and walked off, thumbing the rusty blade, thinking of where to go next.
Thrall's contemptations brought him to a hut near the gated entrance. It was run by less then reputable people but if the gold was right and you looked fearsome enough they'd let you in. Thrall paid for a room, six gold pieces, and climbed up the stairs to the third floor and collapsed on the bed. But not before tucking the newly aquired pouch of gold into his hide pockets, knife resting in his arm and one of his great axes carefully hidden beneath the creaky bed.
Present-Morning
Thrall awoke with a loud yawn that could easily be mistaken for a lion and pulled himself together, packed his things and left the inn looking for something made of flesh for breakfast and smirked beneath the grizzly bear pelt as some citizens spoke of a horrific murder last night of one of young forgers. He cursed under his breath. "He would've made a fine meal this day..."

"Yeah, but he didn't get it, he refused to pay what he agreed for" said Malous as he bite half an apple away core and all.
"Well, I suppose there's nothing much we can do, place it with the other short swords in the racks amd anyone who's in looking for one might pick it up like the others. Did you tell them not to ask for anything else?" asked Garrik.
"Yeah, I think I got the point across" said malous as he put the other half of the apple in his mouth and got up, "I'm going for a walk, be back in an hour or so"
Garrik closed the door while Malous seemed to just dissappear into the treeline as he moved away from the hut...........

Harrian,Imoen,Jaheira and Khalid were bloody and bruised from their run through the nest fields. Khalid was in particulary bad shape, despite Jaheira's druidic magic healing some of his wounds. An ankheg had bitten clean through his sword as it tried to bite him,but the shards of metal cutting between its mandibles had enraged it. A spew of acid had slammed into the half-elven warrior, melting through hsi Scale mail armour. Horrid welts were visible on his chest as Jaheira whispered her way through her final spell of healing. A faint blue glow spread across the wounds, leaving pink flesh in its wake. She dreaded to think what would have happened to her love had Harrian not launched a thin dagger through one of the beasts beady eyes. The beast had keeled over in an ear bursting screechas the dagger buried through to its brain. The young human was definetly skilled with those blades of his. The young darkblade was limping slightly from where a rising Ankheg had snapped at his ankle, but other than that the only problem he had was with his short sword. Some of the acid had splashed from Khalid and eaten through the blade. Imoen had as usual shown her ability to avoid most of the trouble, raining arrows down on the giant bettle. Jaheira had been leading them north since that unfortunate encounter, heading towards a well known forge.
The forest cleared slightly and the weary band stumbled towards the door of the forge. A hulking figure opened the dorr to them, stepping aside to let them in after Jaheira explained their situation. Harrian quietley scoled Imoen that things had better not go 'missing' from here like they did from Winthrope's store. She responded with only mock indignation, knowing full well that he was aware that any items she took were returned a few days later. Glancing around the weapon racks for a replacement blade while Khalid and Jaheira discussed getting a new suit of scale mail to replace the armour ruined by the Ankheg's acid. Jaheira caught sight of the tusk like teeth on the lower jaw of the younger 'human',but ignored it because of the woodland aura exuding from him. Harrian waas weaving one well crafted short sword through intricate patterns, faint lines following it through the air. The young human launched it into the air, only to catch it in his off hand on its descent. "How much for this sword ? And would you happen to know where we could find some adventurers,we need to gather a force to tackle a rising problem"...
Sparky - December 10, 2004 04:43 AM (GMT)
Malous iqnored the look Jaheira gave him, it was faint and breif but he noticed it, he could also tell she was something of a druid herself but he could still tell she had an instant negative notion towards him. He had work to be doing anyway and there was no reason for him to be here, Garrik easily knew these weapons as good as malous did, they'd hammered tehm all out each and everyone would never be forgotten. They could remember every weapon, every peice of armour ever sold or traded.
The half-Orc walked to the back and moved to the open room out eh back, he had a sword to peice together and Garrik got to work also showing them some selections, "That sword give it to me"
Harrian handed the short sword over and Garrik gave it an examining look, "As for any adventureres, I'm not aware of anyone right now, I'm afraid" said the older man as he finished looking the blade over and handed it back to Harrian, "Give that a try again"
Garrik watched Harrian swing the short blade another time with a few basic moves and he knew it was all wrong, "No, forget it. Thats not right" Garrik took the sword and put it back before steadily running his hand down teh rack to the wall, he moved his hand one sword up from one he'd just passed and lifted it to Harrian, "Try that, and those ones till you get the one you like" he said pointing out a few others.
"What throwing daggers do you have, we also need some bolts too" added Harrian, "Hmmm, we don't really do custom throwing daggers, forging that many of so many preferred variation is quite a waste of time....but I have a selection of a few variants. Do you have one of your usual preferences on you" Harrian took out one of his daggers and showed it to Garrik, he took it from the mans hand and matched up with one similiar to a selection of seven on a display board just under the front table and handed both to Harrian. Unlike the sword Garrik couldn't really tell what was better for knife throwing, it wasn't like swordplay and was all up to the person handling the blades.
Garrik left the young fighter to choose for himself and went to the archer who had already been looking at the load of arrows on a wall that was entirely dedicated to they're display, There was only a few different wood shafts to choose from but they arrowsheads were infinite in number of variation and like the throwing dagger it was up to the archer to select the arrow they preffered.
The old forge master looked at the other man, "Let me guess sword right?"
Khalid was slightly surprised, "Yeah" Garrik walked to the swords on the wall beside the short sword rack, "Have a look, and I'll be back soon"
Garrik got to the last one, "Jaheira and what do you want"
"Some Scale mail armour" she said
"Malous" suddenly the large Half-orc his traits so human appeared, "can you get me a basic size Scale mail armour"
"Sure" Malous disappeared into the back for a minute and when he re-appeared he handed the armour to Garrik before walking into the back again. Jaheira wen to take hold of the armour but Garrik froze in his grip and she looked at him, "If you go into town, don't say anyhing of a Half-Orc" garrik let go of the armour and walked round to check on everybody.

Brejor sighed as he couldn't get any information from the innkeeper about the person who may have taken his things, so he left the inn and shearched the town for clues while asking various townspeople that he met about the rumors he had heard.
Sometimes he got conflicting answers, one would say that there were things going on that were strange to them while another would say nothing out of the ordinary was going on. He had never been so confused before so he went to the local church to clear his mind and seek guidance.
Several hours later he stood outside the inn once more, still lost as to what to do next, but beginning to doubt that the rumors that drew him to this accursed city were true.

IC:
Talia stood across the street in a dark alley way watching te Inn, smiling as she saw Brejor. Without much of a second thought she stepped out of the alley way made her way across the street, dodging a horse and carriage that went by at speeds unacceptable for such a crowded street, no doubt more then one person would fall victim to its wheels.
Brejor didn't hear her until she was right on top of him, pushing through the door to the Inn.
"Hello again, Holy Warrior" she said in a mocking tone as he got his wits about him and stopped short of drawing his sword, probably considering whether or not he should try killing her, but he never drew his sword. "Whats yah up to?" she asked as if nothing was wrong.
"Why do you insist on annoying me?" he asked drily.
"Oh, I'm hurt" she said in a voice of feigned deverstation, but he just rolled his eyes at her. "Come on, don't be such a grump, what were you born without a personality or something?"
"Look you, I'm not having a good day, so far I've been robbed, lead around in circles and now had the unfortunate fate to run into you again, so would you please leave me alone you wanton wench!!" he snapped at her.
Talia's eyes suddenly became dark and stormy as she stared at him, sending shivers down his spine, for he knew very well of the saying, Hell have no fury like a woman scorn. Unconsciously he drew his sword and held it ready for a fight. Talia looked at him, seemingly enough and smiled a smile of cruel amusement, making him even more edgy. Suddenly she drew a deep breath and.......
"Help! He wants to kill me!!" she suddenly screamed, forcing tears to pour from her eyes and pointing at the shocked Paladin who faltered as everyone in the common room of the Inn stopped and looked at them, more specifically a group of City Guards who had stopped in for a quick drink.
"What are you doing?!" he demanded in shocked whisper, barely able to get his voice out.
"Ma'am, what seems to be the problem here?" asked a tall, very powerful looking guard. She guessed he was the captain of the guard.
"This man isn't a Paladin! He killed my travelling companions clothes and then tried to rape me the day before last, I barely got away with my life" she cried, grabbing hold of him and acting like real, terrified little girl as she buried her face in his chest and bawled her eyes out.
"She's lying!!" Brejor said quickly when he saw the gmenacing glare that the captain of the guards leveled him. "You can't honestly believe that act!!"
"Get him out of my sight!" the captain barked at his men, and seconds later, a shocked Brejor was being dragged away by five heavily armed guards. The captain of the guards turned back to Talia gave a reasuring smile. "I promise you he won't be going anywhere soon. Brali, give this girl your finest room and put it on my tab" he said to the barkeep, who nodded, and then with that, the Captain left to join his men, a the protests of a Paladin being heard all over the place as Talia smiled inwardly in amusement and then went up stairs to rest.

As Brejor was being dragged away he was contemplating about how to get out of this while 5 of these stupid city guard were dragging him off to the jail. He knew he could overpower one, maybe two, but with the others being there he would just be in a world of hurt before getting tossed into jail by the others.
Brejor breaks the grip of the guards as they enter the building, "I can walk myself in." No wanting to be further humiliated today Brejor continues walking, being flanked by the guards, as they walk past one of the guards he, the guard that is, speaks up. "Brejor??? Last Time I saw you, you were training to be a paladin, what hapened?" Brejor turned to speak to the guard and smiles faintly as he recognized him, "Well Toan, I'm beginning to wish I haden't come back to this forsaken city..." he starts explaining about all that had happened to him since he headed back here, including how he met Talia, how he was robbed and how Talia tricked the guards into "arresting" him.
Shortly afterwards he is exiting the town through an exit he knows to be far from where Talia last saw him, with about 30 gold that Toan had lent him. "So much for a homecoming party...." He muttered as he left Baulder's gate once again.
OOC: It's nice having friends in the City Guard.

OOC:WZ,I approved Riv's post,so you can go back and edit your post, either that or I'll delete it and you can start from scratch. It could be argued that you've been using his character out of character throughout this RPG. And leave the rule reminders up the the mods and Admins in future :wolfy: If you have a complaint,pm one of us about it and we'll deal with it
now that's been dealt with,on we go...
IC:Jaheria was more shocked than disgusted to see the Half-Orc woodland warrior. It was almost unheard of for one of Orcish blood to travel that path, although his near human appearance could ease his travel through life. The Half-Elven Druid reached into her pack and withdrew a thick, dull brown scale of and Ankheg's shell. "Perhaps you could do something with this as well,we surely cannot carry it with us on our travels,Perhaps we could trade this in return for some of your services?"
Garrick looked over the pristine ankheg shell in amazement. Not many adventurers could take out an adult Ankheg without sullying the shell in anyway. "I believe my apprentice may have a good use for this. Especially with iron becoming scarce for most people. I still get my supplies, but even those have been more troublesome of late. Glad to do business with you Miss..."
"Jaheira" the druid replied with a short bow. "Along with my husband Khalid and our companions Imoen and Harrian Coleblade* turning to each as she named them. Imoen was idly playing with her choice of arrows while Harrian balanced five knives on his left hand, one at the end of each digit, his right arm testing a slender short sword for balance. Khalid was easing his bruised body into replacement suit of armour. The elder smith grinned as he considered this unexpected boon to his craft. "Once again,a pleasure, your custom order should be ready in a few hours, but you could be resting easily in the city by then if you so chose, You might also be able to find adventureres to aid you. I'll send Malous into the city once the bolts are ready,he should find you easily enough if you stay in one of the more humble inns. fare thee well" He cried out as the band left his fogre, haeding towards the city of Baldur's Gate...
Sparky - December 11, 2004 07:25 PM (GMT)
Garrik closed the door and walked into the back where Malous was starting up a red hot fire and then collected some of the raw forged steel from yesterdays smelting, he hit it with a hammer and smashed it down into peices, he spread the peices out and examined some of the best parts before placing them to the side to be fused into one large peice of metal for a sword, "You mentioned the druid I was Half Orc, why"
Garrik walked over to a container holding small semi- forged peices of steel for bolts and arrows, when no-one commissioned anything special Malous would build up these semi-made arrows so when anyone picked a specific one they could easily be forged into the desired design, "She was already noticing and I think she would have figured it out eventually, better to tell her not to say anythnig and let her know then let her go round town asking questions, no-ones about you in that regard and if you wanted them to know you'd have said but having some unkonw person going round town aking questions wouldn't be very smart"
"Your right, so what bolt design does she want?" asked Malous as he took the container off Garrik and took one out to look at it.
Garrik took a bolt from behind his back that he'd been holding and gave it to Malous, "Take me a few hours to make the number she wants in this design, how long did you tell her?"
"A few hours" Garrik smirked as he talked. Malous grinned, "I also think Khalid could do with some modified scale mail armour, the moderate size doesn't fit him right"
"So you caught there names"
"Yeah" said Malous as he put one of the semi bolts into the furnace to heat it up.
"Do you rememebr his torso's contore".
"Yeah" reply'd Malous as Garrik took out the Ankeg scale plate and he started to work on modifieing scale mail armour for Khalid that would fit him better as the semi-bolts started to heat up.
Malous saw it, "Thats impressive, we could use that for some of the non metal armours, we don't have too many"
"I know, they said they were looking for adventurers, if they're loking for a hand trying to sort these things out, going with them and picking up any shell plates t bring back ould be useful, we dont have much irn left and even the sources you try to collect are going thin, even if that isn't the problem they're still going that way so you could accompany them that far" asked Garrik
"Yes, I have to agree it would help a little" said Malous as he started to work and Garrik left.

Kela and Chad continued down the ally until Kela noticed they were near the Festivail are.
"Hey lets put your ploy to the test shall we?" Kelathia commanded more than asked.
"Huh? Now? Here?" Chad said
"No in your moms estate tonight." Kelathia spat
"What?" Chad said confused. And then he shook his head. "Alright just... don't get caught."
Chad walked out into the crowed sheepishly. Then he found the biggest box on the street and hoped on it.
"Ladies and Gentelmen." Chads voice rang out into the throng. "I have traveled far and wide and have seen many things despite my youth."
Kela then started to circle around to the back of the crowd.
"And I would like to share with you a tale of a wandering handsome story teller and musian and his skinny, greedy and stupid haffer friend?" Chad said putting a smile on his face.
Kela looked at him from the back of the crowd and gave him a murderous look. As Chad began his tale in a sing song voice Kela pushed threw the crowd as if she wanted to get to the front but took a purse here and there.

The gibberlings swarmed from whatever hovels the resided in as Harrian flipped forward towards them. A sickening crunch turned Imoen's stomach as her lifelong friend landed with both of his boots landed firmly on the snouted face of that fortunate howling mass of fur. Harrian swung his left arm out behind him, tensing the trigger of his bracer. A stream of metal lanced through the air as another gibberling fell, blood seeping from the wound. His short sword cut through the air with consummate ease as his motions became more dance like in execution. Imoen finally recovered her senses enough to begin raining arrows down on the senseless beasts. Khalid was keeping gibberlings away from Jaheira as she cast a selection of boon spells on Harrian, most noticeably a barkskin enchantment. One Gibberling got past his dance of death to scratch a claw across the surface of the enchantment, but the dark-blade warrior accepted the mild blow as he drew a dagger to allow death's dark embrace claim yet another victim of his. Although he took no pleasure from such slaughter,Harrian's blood sang with each drop of blood spilled by his blade. Two gibberling pounced towards the young human as he dived into a roll. Neither beast noticed his blades snap out to sever their jugulars until Imoen dropped both with arrows to the chest. "Those were still my kills Imoen,I can't let you be stealing those along with any minor valuables I might have on me" Harrian teased as he faced a snarling, mangy, disease ridden beast. The animal snapped it's jaws at him before roaring in defiance. Harrian merely looked at it as it's roar turned to helpless gurggles...
Jaheira,Khalid and Imoen all stood in shock at how quickly Harrian had moved to fire his bracer at the Diseased Gibberling. The slender bolt could be clearly seen sticking out the rear of the beast's throat from their position. After harvesting used daggers and bolts,Harrian simply shrugged and led them towards the southern gate of Baldur's city...

OOC: *Salutes* Yes sir, I'll get there after I visit Sparky, since I promised him to drop by :beers:
IC:
After dining on some raw goatflesh he'd bought from one of the farmers Thrall continued to look around for a suitable metal worker. He knew enough not to go back to the forger alleyway and made his way to the outskirts near the entrance. He smelt the strong metallic ash in the air and new that he'd found one.
He came up to the vendor window and patiently waited until the equally large human like figure stood up and saw the great shadow of Thrall in his enormous bearskin cloak. Thrall felt at ease around him for some reason and it wasn't until the young forger came up close.
"What can I do for you?" Thrall noted the teeth and thick black hair and figured he was safe in this environment and cast off his hood revealing his orcish face.
"My dagger, the rust-" Thrall began
"Yeah I got it." Malous cut in and took the dagger and began to examine it closely. "Fine blade."
"How long?"
"About a day, and it's six gold pieces." Thrall tossed him the gold without a second thought, turned, pulled out one of his great axes and with one impressive stroke cut down a nearby tree and sat patiently on the stump, apparently waiting for the task to be completed.
