Title: Greetings people of this universe
Mr Zektoll - August 28, 2004 02:25 AM (GMT)
I've recently come to the conclusion that I must have come from a parrallell universe. That's right , I'm not native to this universe. Kind of a let down really, I would have hoped that if I went to a parrallell universe it would be more interesting then the one I came from.
Anyway here's why I think I come from a parrallell universe simialer to this one but not exactly like it. Back in high school I would go to my freinds house and we would have an anime fest , but the anime was on his computer which we would hook up to the TV and we'd watch it like that. Now heres the zinger right here, the computer hooked up to the TV through a fire wire. A few months ago I tried to do a simialer set up only to discover that you can't do that with fire wires, you can only do that with an S-video port. Now back in the day I distinctly remember several occasions where we used fire wires for that purpose. Therefore I can only come to one conclusion, I come from a universe where fire wire ports are used in the same way as S-video ports! But other then that difference in PC technology everything else is pretty much the same. What happened to the me who was origenall in this universe? My guess is I switched places with him, right now he's probably confused as to why fire wires are used like S-video ports.
There's several strange occurences that happened to me which may have been when I switched universes. One is when I was out driving to college, there was this slow poke old guy who was holding me down. I always complain about how old people go too slow, when I get old I'll be going a jillion miles an hour I can assure you of that. Anyway I switched lanes and sped away passing him up, about a mile later I pass the exact same car with the exact same guy still puttering along incredibly slow! It even had its back full of the same junk. He never passed me! This may have been when I switched universes, because in this universe, that guy may have drove away a few minutes earlier then he did in the one I came from and is therefore further along the road.
And if you think I'm crazy, I don't have anything on this guy!

Ok......... what are Fire Wires?
Mr Zektoll - August 28, 2004 02:37 AM (GMT)
Well in this universe their used to transfer data from video cameras onto computers, in my origenal universe they were used as an interface between televisions and computers much like S-video ports are here.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least, I could ramble on philosophically about how it is possible Mr. Z is from another universe in metaphysics but I really don't want to ;)
Besides, he's not the only one whose not a native to this reality
BloodStorm - August 28, 2004 04:54 AM (GMT)
I'm not a native to this realitity either.. I built myself bit by bit over the eons, using a fraction here, a smigen there, forming a body of mental perfection.. or atleast that's what I tell the tourists..
Secretly, I come from the dimention known as "My mother's womb" which I will fortunatly spare everyone the details of. Hell, I don't even like to think about it..

Well sometimes when I dream I blast people/things with ki blasts that usually vaporize them. When I do that I'll sometimes quote Vegeta and say "I'll let you go....into another dimension!" it's sort of like in Boondocks saints where the two Irish guys say that prayer everytime they kill, except instead it's a stupid DBZ quote. so that must have been the dimension where I sent them! Bloodstorm , that must mean that your the reincarnation of all the various things that I've destroyed in my dreams....no wait that makes no sense but I don't care! I hereby dub bloodstorm the Fresh prince of dream reincarnations!

Me too but I'm too lazy to do something like that. Because I'm the feudal lord of rpg slackers.

I just thouguht of something, that kinda has me freaked out alittle and wishing I had some booze to calm my nerves :beers:
But, I was just laying awake in bed, thinking about other dimensions and crap, when I suddenly thought of something. My entire life, most people have mistaken me for a girl, when I'm quiet clearly not a girl, like I have long hair now but I never use to, I use to have really short hair, but still I dont look the least bit femmine in anyway, unless people think I'm part Russian........ anyway....
What if, I come from another universe, and my alternate self in this universe was a girl? You know like in that episode of Sliders when they slid into that universe where Quinn met a female version of himself? Well what if, when I was born in my universe and the my other self were born in this one, what if, some how we switched places, and maybe a residual aura from each other has been left on us? Would this not explain why most people think I'm a girl at first glance or from long away longs? Like the risdual aura of my other self touches their's aura before my actual aura does and give the immediate thought that I'm a girl?
Now, I know this might not be classed as proof to back this theory up, but I use to know this down symdrone (sp?) that always believed I was a girl, despite how many times he was told that I was a guy. And not to mention that about 70% of DS people that I have met believe throughout my life have also thought I was a girl, now this seems like to much to be a concidence to me. What if, because their mind operates on a different level to a normal person, that they see in my place, not me, but my other self, my female self, like maybe there's an invisible tear in the wall between dimensions that allow them to see through it and they see my other self?
And also, I just remembered my mum telling me once that my grandmother had gone to a psychic once when my mother was pregnant with "me" and was told by that psychic that she was going to have a girl. My nan went to another psychic again just before I was born and was told again that my mum was going to have a girl as well, yet, here I am..... Then again, my other nan - my mum's mother - went to a psychic too and was told that my mum was going to have twins, so.......
Anyway, what do you think?
BloodStorm - September 1, 2004 04:18 PM (GMT)
I think we need to gather ourselves all in one place, form a traveling freakshow, and charge people to see us sit around and argue about things allday long...
Who knows, if we're lucky we might be able to get enough people to pay to see us that we'ld be able to break even, considering the cost of getting us all in one place.
:D

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea to me, and for a half time show, we could picka person from the crowd and stone them!!

Yeah having a circus would be fun, but anyway I have a few things to say about Rivens theory. I don't think he switched places with an alternate version of himself in a literal sense but well... just read this.
What I think is that the people who see you sa a girl have a slightly different perception of reality. As I said before I don't believe reality is a solid object, it's shaped by our perceptions. A person whose hypnotised into believing their a chicken will see themselves as a chicken feathers and all. But everyone else will see them as some idiot who thinks he's a chicken. Whose version of reality is real? The way I view the universe, both versions of reality are equally real, it's just that less people have the ability to perceive one version then the other. It might just be that the people who see you as a girl have a slightly different perception of reality then everyone else including yourself. But their version of reality is every bit as real as the one everyone else sees. Reality isn't a solid object to me, it's being molded into different shapes all the time. People see things like bleeding virgin mary statues, or statues of the hindu god Ghanesh drinking milk. To me these are both examples of peoples perceptions shaping reality.

Ah yes.. the wonderfull phenominon known as PERSPECTIVE. One of my personal favorite topics of debate.
We each see things through our own eyes, our own sences. That's our perspective on life. Now, no two people share the same perspective, even if the same thing happens to them in identicle fashons. Our individual conciousnesses are unique, and we have no access to the perception of others. That being said, it's impossable to prove if anyone else even exists, as you can't use thier perspective to cross referance with your own. Sure, you can see, hear, feel, touch, and even taste them.. but that doesn't mean they're real. They could just be elaborite games your subconciousness creates to keep you occupied.
Thats right, we're all at the centre of our own universes.. One could go as far as saying we're all gods, and we're infact the only person who exists, everyone else is just figments of an overactive immagination, there for the sole purpose of amusing us.
Another good question.. does the universe even exist after you die? It's not like someone's going to re-animate your corpse just to tell you that they're still around, and it's not like you'ld care one way or another if it did continue existing or not. Your a corpse.. and so far there's no reputable proof in the afterlife, so your perspective, your own centrilesed universe collapses at the moment of your death...
Or does it? You might just be a figment of someone's immagination, and never really mattered anyway.
SO ask yourself.. are YOU real? Or are you just someone's figment. Either way, it would be impossable to prove to someone else. They might be a figment themselves, and only agree or disagree becuase someone's subconciousness wants them too.
So think about it.. the next time someone says he's god.. he MIGHT be right, atleast from his own perspective..
BloodStorm the god.. now THAT's a scary thought..
Mr Zektoll - September 1, 2004 11:39 PM (GMT)
Ganesh is an elephant headed god in hindu mythology. In a simialer phenomena to the bleeding virgin mary statues, Ganesh statues have been known to drink milk when offered to them. They don't actually get up to drink it, people hold the milk up to their mouths and it vanishes.

Well, lets put it this way, if some ever comes up to me, talking about Alice in Wonderland and offering me a blue or red pill, I'd be inclined to believe him if he said this was just a virtual reality world....
The Matrix has you!
