I'm thinking about starting a Slayers RPG because the Tenchi RPG doesn't seem to be going anywhere due to lack of interest, on both my half and everyone else unfortunately. And I don't know how to start the Rurouni Samurai one so if anyone wants to takes the reins on that one, feel free to.

So I was thinking about creating a Slayers RPG, titled the Advent of Destiny, and if I can get this off the ground, I'm planning on throwing monsters from the D&D Monster Manual like Tekno has been in the Secret Wars...... Anyone for Tarrasque? :666: :w00t:

I've been wanting another Fantasy RPG to play since the death of the Zelda RPG and now I can try out a new character and some spells.

The limits would be thus.....

1# You can't be a Dark Lord, as Hell Master Phibriso, Gaav and Dark Star are dead leaving only two more, not including the five remaining pieces of Ruby Eye, which might possibly make an appearance ^_~

2# You can create your own spells, but they can not be more powerful then the Ragna/Laguna Blade which is the second strongest attack next to the Giga Slave, so you've been warn.

3# The Lord of Nightmares is off limits, to everyone.... That goes double for you Kaiser!! I'm shuddering already just thinking about the mayhem you'd cause with that character *shudders*

4# You can be a Makuzo (sp?) like Xellos and Valgaav if you like but they can not be stronger then the said Makuzo's

5# Enchanted weapons can be used, as long as they aren't as strong as the Bless Blade or the Weapons of Light (as I call them, a.k.a the sword of light that Glourry carries)

and

6# You can have no more then 4 characters at a time, if one character dies, you can replace him/her, or if two die you can replace them with another two, etc, etc, etc.

I'm trying to decided what I should do with Lina and the gang though, do you want them in it or what?

So, what does everyone think? Yay? Nay? I need to know before I go ahead and write and opening post.

Riven I think you confused the mozoku lords with the true dark lords. There are three Mozoku lords left (in the slayers universe) and there are two dark lords left not including whats left of shabranigdo.

The mozoku lords Phibrizo, Gaav, Zelas, Deep Sea Dolphin and Dynast are five high level Mozoku created by Shabranigdo. Gaav and Phibrizo are dead, in one of the later Slayers novels they battle Dynast but don't actually suceed in killing him. Deep Sea and Zelas are both alive and well.

As for the Dark lords Dark Star was destroyed, but Death Fog and Chaotic Blue are still alive, just not in the slayers universe.

I'll join this rpg. And to get to know things better I will rent the movie from blockbuster. I seen it there before just never rented it.

That is a good way to start, but might want to check out those two sites I mentioned above as the Movie is set like, four or five years before this RPG and a lot of stuff happened in between then ^_^ I love the movie by the way. However there are a lot of people that don't like it and I don't know why, its got a good score, nice action and lots of comdey, not to mention wicked ending, in my opinion at least....... ^^;

Yeah, I only realized yesterday, the reason I got confused is because the information on them and the Mozoku lords was in the same part and Dark Star was mentioned with the Mozoku lords so I assumed he was with the Mozoku lords, but when I reread it again I saw that I was wrong.

Don't worry, he's not a Were-carebear, I think he's a Drow Artificer or something like that.

Boy... if I didn't know better, I'ld swear this was turning into a D&D rpg with Slayer's overtones, not the otherway around..

Drow, eh? Forgotten Realms or Ebberon Drow? I'm assuming Ebberon, since that's where the Artificer class is introduced.. Ebberon drow aren't quite as nasty as FR Drow are, plus they don't have that annoying "Lloth dominated all aspects of my life, and I'm inferior just becuase I'm male" overtones to them..

Plus the ebberon drow like scorpions instead of spider.. which makes them much cooler..

Allthough, Astro strikes me as a powergamer in D&D, so I wouldn't be surprised if he used the Forgotten Realms drow instead.. Hrmmm...

Ah well.. I can out munchkin anyone on these board D&D wise if I felt like it.. Blame NOVA for that one.. <_<

Yes, thats exactly right, thats why I was hesitant to let him have that race as a character, I'm actually starting to think I might reconsider your having a Drow Astro, because as far as I know, there are no Drow's in Slayers.

I want this be a Slayers RPG with a monsters thrown in from D&D.

Ok, its time Slayers 101, please be seated class....

Ok, now where should we start?

Yes, the characters of the Slayers.

Lina Inverse is the main character and heroine of the anime, she is a powerful sorceress who has saved the world many times. She is a known by several nick names, the Bandit Killer, Enemy of all living things, Dragon Spooker and she even has her own little song that goes - Little Girl, Little Breast, Scares the Dragon From its Nest! - and she also likes to refer to herself as the Beautiful Genius Sorceress.

Lina is famous among the world of Creation (I've heard the world in the anime called that a couple of times) for her short size, short temper and little breast, all three of which will gain you a swift kick up the ass if you say it straight to her face. She kills all evil and steals from Bandit groups and gives to herself. She's not afraid to blow up her friends when fighting enemies which makes her enemies even more terrified of her.

Lina has one known relative, and that is her sister Luna Inverse, who Lina is abosuletly terrified of, because when she was younger, she made projections of her sister bathing and charged the younger boys in their village to see it.... then Luna found out and Lina has been scared of her sister ever since.....

So far she has fought and destroyed, two pieces of the Dark Lord Ruby Eyes and the Dark Lord Dark Star, she has killed two of Ruby Eyes Mozoku lords, Hellmaster and Gaav and she has even fought and destroyed the great beast Zanafar. She even helped to destroy a powerful Mozoku known as Joyrock when she was transported back in time and saved a community of Elfs.

She has mastered three very powerful spells, the Dragon Slave, the Ragna Blade and the Giga Slave but she will not use the Giga Slave anymore as it has the power to destroy the whole world if she loses control of it. The Dragon Slave is her signature spell next to the Fire Ball spell and she can quiet frequently be seen blowing up various things with it, dragons, bandits, castles...... giant floating pieces of land.....

Glourry Gabriev meets Lina just after she had killed most of the bandit gang known as the Dragon Fangs, he mistook her for a kid and then proclaimed himself as he guardian until she got safetly to Atlas City, but they end up sticking together well beyond that. Glourry is, well, a moron, he knows nothing about magic, history of the world or of the Dark Lords, yet he is a master swordsman and welds the powerful and legendary Sword of Light, which Lina uses to kill Ruby Eyes in conjuction with the Giga Slave.

Glourry is very protective of Lina, and by the end of the second season, its quiet obvious that he does love her, and we also see that Lina loves him to, as after he "saves" her, they have a moment and kiss, only due to unavoidable circumstance they both have no memory of this kiss.

Glourry is the decended of young boy Lina helped destroy Joyrock when she was sent back in time, who also used the Sword of Light to kill the Mozoku when Lina fired a Dragon Slave at it and powered the sword up.

Amelia is the Justice loving Princess of the Justice loving kingdom of Seyruun (sp?) and sorceress in training. She doesn't known any Black Magic spells, but she is quiet good at White Magic and Shamanistic Magic having already mastered the most powerful spell in Shamanistic magic.

Zelgadiss is the once human, now Chimera of the group, he was turned into a Chimera by his great grandfather, Rezo the Red Preist, he is 1/3 Golem, 1/3 Mozoku and 1/3 human, his skin is greyish color he has bits of rock sticking off his face and his body is also rock hard and nothing under the driving force of a Canon Ball can hurt him, though he is weak again Lightning magic. He is a master swordsman as well as master of Shamanistic magic. He constantly searching for a cure to turn himself back to normal.


Naga the Serphant was a friend/rival of Lina's before Lina met Gloury. Naga is very much like Lina, except she is very tall, has a big RACK, and wears very skimpy clothes (Lina calls her Bondage Queen of the Damned sometimes because of it.) She is also known of Naga the Fish Fecies as she follows Lina around like Fish shit. She is very flaky most of the time, but beneath this she is a very powerful sorceress, not as powerful as Lina but still strong enough to give most a fun for their money, and can be quiet righeous sometimes.

She drinks and eats like a horse, has a laugh that strikes fear in the hearts of even the most hardened criminal and considers herself to be Lina's greatest Rival. She and Lina have shared many adventures together but it is unknown why they parted ways, its most likely that Lina knocked her out with a powerful attack spell and just ran to get away from her.

Well, there you go, those are the heros of Slayers. I'll explain more later if some else doesn't beat me to it.

to your disappointment he wont be a were-carebear. I haven't desided on the type of drow yet. Also im not a big powergamer in DnD i've had my ups and downs. I was thinking of the FR Surface Drow which are cooler cause they ont have that stupid loth thing you said earlier and are alowed to follow other deities. I haven't read ebberon fully yet since i dont own the book. I might get it later in the week.

I read up some stuff about the slayers and yatta yatta. So is Linna and Co. in this rpg? If so is before or after some of those key demon guys die, cause some spells can't be cast without them.

Also how strong are we to make our charecters from the start? (This is my main questioned.)

Well, ok, here are the strength restriction.

Human Characters - can not be any stronger then, well actually I'm not sure about humans, I don't know if a character shouldn't be any stronger the Lina Inverse, considering she can weld some of the most powerful spells. What does everyone think?

Mozuko characters - can not be stronger then Xellos or Valgaav.

As for Spells.

Well, the only spells you can not use are the following.

The Giga Slave - Lina is the only one who can cast it
The Gaav Flare - can't be cast because the Demon Dragon King Gaav is dead
The Laguuna Blast - can't be cast because Hellmaster Phbriso is dead
The Ragna Blade - Lina is the only one who knows this spell and how to use it, as the book containing the information on how to cast it was destroyed by Xellos.

So far, the RPG will start after the last serise, however I'm not sure when, and at this moment, Lina and co. will not be in it, and if they do they'll only be making camio appearances and will not actually partake in any battles unless I say so. However but that is only for now until I've decided what to do with them.
