My dad called me just a minute ago. He had to put two new tires on his truck replace some wires inside. He explained it all I just wasn't following. Anyway he used the money he had for his rent. and He asked me if I can lend him 400 dollars for it he can pay me back 50 dollars a week.

My mom says he doesn't need help and I should never loan him money. Thing is he's a good guy. He's there whenever I need a ride and even lent me his laptop till I get my computer fixed. I need some advice.

Have you lent him money before? I personally don't like to lend stuff, but I guess it depends on if you think the person your lending to is good for it. It sounds like you trust him, so if you think your trust is wellplaced and you don't need the money right now go ahead. Otherwise I wouldn't.

I agree with mr. Z. If you trust him and dont need the money right now then it might be a good idea. since I dont know him I cant really make an informed guess. but If you trust him and he needs it and you dont need it right now then if you want to go for it.

I personally would not lend the money on trust alone... Even though it is your father and all. I would rather KNOW he needs the money then just take his word for it. Unless your mom has some sort of uncalled for bitterness against your father I would say she knows he does not need the money. But that is just me. But that is just from my own personally experiences...

So I'd say get all the facts first...
