Title: Making the rpg's more better

As we should all know there's been an increasing trend of bad communication about stuff that's been happening in the rpgs. As a result I ran into alot of trouble and it seems Azailia did as well. On an indevidual basis I've pretty much managed to get around this myself by prescreening anything that seems like it could be questionable. But the problem is still there because other people who aren't on msn all the time are still having trouble. So here's my suggestions about how to fix this. In Azailias topic I suggested we make a new board that is just for secret plot stuff. Details on projected storyarcs and other things you guys talk about on msn should be posted there.

Also I think a bigger effort on getting character DF's should be put foreward. A character should not be introduced if his/her/its DF is not up first. At least not when that character is involved in a combat situation where it's nessecery to know exactly what their capabilities are.

If someone who isn't on msn screws up because of the lack of info they shouldn't be penalized for it unless they know better then to do whatever it was they did. That isn't to say that they shouldn't try to get the info on their own since I think this sort of effort should go both ways to work the most effectively. I'll certainly continue doing that. It's just that in an ideal situation all the needed info would be in an easily accessible place is what I'm trying to say.

Aside from that I think another problem is that the lairs been kind of more comatose then it used to be. I remember back when alot of people seemed to come through here but its gotten alot slower. The place never died, not even when both I and Chris had vanished from here. But it has gone through alot of comatose moments when not much happens. I think to fix this we should probably try to advertise in more places otherwise this place will just continue being comatose. As far as I know the only places that have links to the lair are guyver.net and possibly warriorguyver. But there are more guyver sites then those on the internet so maybe we should try to have them link to us or something.

And those are my ideas on how to make the rpgs more better. Does anyone else have any other suggestions?

We can start with grammatically correct sentences first of all B)

I kid! I kid!

Advertising would be a great idea, though last time I checked the WG website it looks as though some hackers managed to chew it up again since my browser stated it no longer exists.

Anyhoo....

A general forum dedicated to plot arcs does sound like a REALLY good idea.

I also agree with the data file suggestions. Unless it be on the board, then the character should not be allowed to scrap. Seems fair to me.

RPGs just for fun also sound like a good idea. Like a random slug fest, like Blood set up...I just need to figure out who to choose.

For the current RPGs in limbo I say that the creators state definitively if it's dead or not, because then we can move onto a different idea, instead of having small dead spasm posts like we do in BG for one or in HP.

Where's tekno and his ability to shoot off hundreds of RPG ideas when we need him *shakes fist* :bang:

Well I did have an rpg idea for an alien/predator/evangelion/guyver crossover that takes place on the lord of the rings middle earth. But it seemed too close to kaisers avp rpg so I wasn't sure if now was a good time to try to do it.

Anyway when I have the tiem I'll do a search for good sites to advertise on.

In my opinion the best thing that we could do is start a new RPG that is relatively simple not something that is this crossed with that place in here.

If we could make up and rpg that has a rather basic story line and isnt based of 10 different things i believe it would be easier to post and less imposing for people to join in

Now if we want to use a pre existing universe i believe that we should limit ourselves to the guyver and not much more, after all that is why we are here.

I think our best option is addition by subtraction, we dont have to make some big epic rpg but ones who's awsome ness and how interesting it is will be directly based on what the people involved in it do to help progress the story, i believe that this will increase the amount of posts we see. I know for myself i sometimes do not want to post because things are simply too complicated and you really dont want to step on any other persons toes, by interfering with there whole idea for their character.

So that is about my idea in summary make things simpler if we go with something basic i think everone will get involved and the board will prosper, this will also allow for new comers to get involved because if you think about it if some1 were to join today they would either have to read every single post and DF in the current rpgs or simple wait around a month for a new one to get started.
