http://blog.codefront.net/2007/08/13/mmorpg-called-outside/Now, I'm breaking my NDA to say this... but Outside?
Overrated.
No monthly fee- Yeah. Nice.. untill you realise that all the money holes that exist in game cost real cash to fix. My in-game avatar's computer broke, now I can't connect to the game untill I send in real-money for a new one.
Massive world to explore- This is neat.. but there's so damned much of it, and most of it is unaccessable becuase you can't afford the stuff needed to survive the environments.
Increadable NPC AI- Yeah. About as increadable as the average employee of Gamestop. It IS very realistic though.
over 56000 playable archetypes- Yes.. but with single character servers, and restrictions on job skills, you'll never be able to try 99.9% of those.
Fully pvp- Yep. You can run out and smack anyone you want. Kill them even. Of course, they can do the same back. Oh, and watch out. The game has hardcore death. Your character dies.. time to reroll. Oh, that's right.. your character's religion doesn't support reincarnation. Account Canceled. Thank you. Of course.. if you do kill someone, you get in trouble with all the in-game guilds who are tasked with choosing who's allowed to kill people, and who isn't. These guilds hold alot of sway, and your character can be in alot of trouble if you don't listen to them.
Highest resolution graphics- This is accually pretty cool. It's almost like looking out a window.. Of course.. there are bugs sometimes where your character apperantly goes crazy and starts talking to flying purple weasels with sombreros. That graphical error ussually only occours when your under the statis effect "Drunk" though.
Overall score? Not worth it. Save your time and effort for games that matter.
