Title: New Guyver RP

Thanatos-Morpheus - July 17, 2007 09:47 PM (GMT)
Well, I know it's cliche, but I'd like to start a new Guyver/Zoanoid RP.

This one is set in an alternate universe, no cameos from Sho or Tetsuro or the gang. The Guyvers haven't been unleashed onto the Earth, although an organization called Crusader has been manufacturing Zoanoids. Most of Crusader's work is based in the United States, but China, Japan, India, and other heavily populated areas have branches as well. Unlike the manga and animes, the Zoalords are fewer in number. There are only 7; One head, and others for each continent (the exception being Antarctica.)

There are an indeterminate number of Guyvers, and the Gigantic units haven't been discovered yet.

The basic idea is to play being human until you gain the Guyver somehow, and go from there. The basic plotline would be to dismantle Crusader, and during the battle, discovering Zoanoids, Guyver abilities, and the Zoalords.

Like I said, cliche, but anyone care to support?

Sounds interesting, I think I'd be willing to give it a go

although I'm not sure if you're aware or not but technically (inside the realms of the real Guyver universe - and I know you said this is an alternate world and all -) the Gigantic unit was freak accident, created by the combination of a Relic's life pod and Sho's desire to be strong enough to take on a Zoalord.

I'm not saying you shouldn't have them in it, but it might be wise to think of a restriction regarding them

as for normal units are they just that, normal units I mean? (Doesnt really care if they are or not, is just curious to know)

It would be different to play just standard Guyvers B)

Thanatos-Morpheus - July 18, 2007 07:04 PM (GMT)
I was thinking the units would be 'normal', but each would be allowed one mutation, I think. To keep up individuality and all.

And thanks for the Gigantic info. . . I'd like to have them, but I'll just figure out how to work it into the storyline.

mutations? Sounds a little like mad guyvers....

also, Remember, it takes a Year for a gigantic to form, at least thats how long it took for Guyver 1 to make his.

I suggest playing the RPG for a while before mutations are brought into it

Thanatos-Morpheus - July 20, 2007 03:46 AM (GMT)
I'll take that into consideration.

Certainly, mutations won't be introduced until the RP gets going, because people have to discover their own powers and such.

I don't know, this sounds an awful lot like mad guyvers but without the self inserts, my advice is to add something in to set it apart more.

Maybe it would be better have each of th units a little custom for each person upon activation, same standard guyver levela dn such but some small differences or specialisation.
This way mutations/upgrades are avoided for awhil till t's right to bring them in and it starts on it's own not being compared to MG. Though I wouldn't say it's fair to compare this to MG as if it were being copied since Thanatos isn't even in that rpg.

plus there will never be another like Mad Guyvers, it invented a class all in itself

I say keep us standard but allow for a greater deal of customization with our forms, perhaps allow for multiple blades or head lasers or the like but that would be the extent of it. By that I don't mean being able to add wings and stuff that wouldn't normally be seen on a Guyver...
