For a while now I've been toying with the idea of an rpg set in the Marvel Movie universe taking place after X3,in fact,I've even taken to writing plot arcs and working out ways to involve characters either left out of,or misused in the movies.

Basic idea is that 18 months to 2 years after the battle of alcatraz in X3,and probably 6 months after the events of Spidey 3,the US Goverment have established SHIELD to oversee and police the various superpowered individuals. Xavier's continues to be a refuge and place of learning for mutantkind while the Baxter Building and Stark industries also offer options.

I'll expand more later,but for now who's interested?

I think something like this was mentioned awhile ago and it got dropped for some reason, you could make your own character to pick an existing one.
It's wierd I have the perfect character for this and if I can't use him, I call Deadpool, so yeah I'm in.

It doesn't take much to know who Kaiser's going to pick if using currently existing characters is allowed and I say if because I was just speculating, just wanted to make sure incase I started making wrong impressions on an rpg idea that isn't mine....... :unsure:

Actually Sparkles,Deadpool is out for plot reasons,as are Chamber,Stryfe and Carnage.

Also reserved are Gambit,Cannonball and Nightcrawler. Any mutant beneath Omega level/movie class 5 who hasn't featured in two movies or more(basically rules out Spidey,wolvie,Storm,Iceman,The FF,Magneto and Electra)

A few of us will be offered Plot central NPC's to control,but I've mentally paired them off already for the most part

You can create your own,within reasonable limits. No Omega/Class 5 mutants,no Symiobte characters and no techo-organic virus stuff. Anything else I'll deal with as it comes up

okay.. I for one don't understand the differances between the mutant classifications.. how do those work again?

Class one is a mutant with almost negligible powers or deformations

Class two is a mutant who posess a minor threat to the public at large and/or themselves

Class three mutants are where many shown in the x-men movies fall

Class four are high powered and extremely dangerous mutants

Class five are Phoenix level,pretty much "Holy fucking shit,we're all gonna die" material

dont get too many class 5 mutants do they

In the marvel universe there's maybe a dozen tops. In the rpg we won't be playing any

From everything seen in the marvel movieverse,it suggests they take place in our time,just in an alternate universe.

For reference though,this rpg takes place roughly 8 months after events in X3,4 months after events in Spidey 3 and 6 weeks after FF2

can we play more than one? or are we stuck with only one character at the start?

I had an idea for an original character. Since this takes place in the marvel movie continuity I gotta aska few questions before finalizing my character, I havent seen the daredevil movie, but one of the characters in that movie is important to the history of the charactor I had the idea for.

Does the Kingpin survive at the end of the daredevil movie? And if so does he go to jail or anything like that?

This is important because my idea was that the kingpin got ahold of some of spidermans dna as well as schmatics for the green goblins weapons and then had my original character Dark Stinger created to deal with some of his enemies, but Dark Stinger went out of control betraying him.

Dark Stinger is simialer in appearance and ability to the spiderman doppleganger

Anyway does anyone know the big secrect that was between Sabretooth n Wolvie in the comics? I missed that issue becuase of my current deployment.

Well I'm trying to avoid symbiote characters for plot reasons but if you come up with a convincing argument,well who knows.

I know he has all his memories back. In a seperate series he is hunting down all the people who screwed him over. In his main book there was a big secrect that would be revieled on the connection between him and sabretooth. That is where I am in my Wolverine Lore.


On the Symbiote charecter..... well Carnage hasnt been created yet, Venom hasnt been seperated to create the 5 symbiote goverment group which later spawns Hybrid.... There hasnt been a Symbiote invasion... this would take a very detailed background to pull it off unless the simple soltion was to say that there was more than one symbiote that landed on earth. Have to think about this for a day and see what I can come up with.
