I was watching Rurouni Kenshin today and I thought, an RPG based on the era in which the serise takes place could be interesting.

It doesn't necessarily have to have Kenshin or any of the Kenshin characters really.

So what does everyone think?

i think it sounds fun.....would we put guyvers and what not in or not? either way the idea sounds fun after playing a samuri game for the last week none stop

I got an idea for a character that might work in this. So yeah Ide probably join this one.

Riven If you do decide to make this rpg and you decide to have the kenshin characters in there I call sano

No Guyvers or Zoa's of any sort.

I don't know what we could use as a specific storyline for it though, so if anyone has any ideas, please post them.

Well you could do kind of a Last Samurai kind of thing and have like Americans and what not comin over to Japan with guns and their culture. And you could have samurais fight against them to preserve thier ways

Well I was thinking about that but I was also thinking about what if we started it before the Meji Government is stablished, like just before the Revolution.

i say we drop the idea of kenshin or any of his friends in it and start fresh......but thats just me

but as a story i would say around the time which i dont know exactly when but when muckets became a primary weapon so samuris are fewer in numbers making them better fighters

Sounds fun i got a chracter i've been wanting to try out.

Samarai rpg, eh? Think I better set this one out.. We all know which Samarai I'ld bring, and he's had more than enough shameless plugs into various rpgs... besides, he'ld pwn everyone else so much it wouldn't be funny..

Then again... if people would just look at the timestamps.. they'ld see that a whole 3 weeks went on between Riven's and Tyde's posts.. three weeks with nothing mentioned.. so I'm going to go out on a limb and say the whoever was planning this one has moved onto another idea. :rolleyes:

I've been trying to figure out RPG plot line for it Blood, but I'm torn between doing this RPG and restarting my Tenchi one.

As for your chracter owning everyone else, you haven't seen the master samurai, the Crimson Tora in action yet buddy ^_^

Heh.. IF I were to use him, it'ld probobly have to be before he found Calming... so he'ld still be increadably bad-ass.. but he wouldn't be quite so invincable...

Yeah, well anyway, I've tried to think of a plot but I give up, so if anyone else wants to have a try..... Blood? Mr. Z?

I'm actually thinking of another RPG we could have a heap of fun with ^_^
