BloodStorm - May 27, 2007 08:13 PM (GMT)
Hello Newguy. I'm bloodstorm, as you can probobly tell. I'm one of the nutjobs responcible for running this place.

First of all, welcome to the lair. Hope you enjoy your time here.

Secondly.. some of us, myself included, have rather bizzare sences of humor that might take some time getting used to.. So if we do something batshit crazy.. we're probobly just trying to be funny or something.

So sit back, and enjoy the ride.. if you need any help, just ask. We're a bunch of friendly sorts and we'll do our best to get you up to speed in no time.

Sigma - May 27, 2007 08:17 PM (GMT)
Well, im a bit overwhlemed. you guys are awsome at rping. im not so good. but i can learn to be my best.

And dont worry on the humor, im prety funny myself.

Riven - May 28, 2007 02:49 AM (GMT)
We were all as you are at one time or another, so dont feel Overwhelmed, just enjoy yourself and you'll be RPGing like a pro in no time at all ^_^

Just take your time and if you have questions, just drop one of us a line and we'll help you as best we can. If you ever want to talk directly, just about all of use can be found at one time or another on MSN.

Ghrecki - May 28, 2007 02:55 AM (GMT)
As Riven and bloodstorm have said dont worry to much. we've all been the new guy a one point and had to learn. but sometimes that can be fun...

anyway...

Welcome to the Guyver's Lair. I hope you have a great time here.

I like to ask one question, whats the story of Mad Guyvers? cause i might join in soon.

Ghrecki - May 28, 2007 03:51 PM (GMT)
you need to ask sith for more detals but here is the basis of Mad Guyvers:

we play ourselves in it. several of us found guyver units and bonded with them. Over time we learned how to control the units...

then they started mutating and develpoing changes. over time more of us became known and started to mutate our own units. though some of us are playing zoanoids, though the zoanoid players are now all zoalords.

We fought chronos, chronos fought us. we grow more powerful. Chronos makes more powerful stuff to fight us. then the creators, also known as the Advent, show up and demand us to surender to them.

so we fight and now earth has been destroied and we are useing some ships we found to excape and now with only a small portion of the human race with us we are fleeing the creators as refugees.

there are more detals but thats the basis of what has happened so far. but like I said sith could explane it better, he is the one who started it after all.

oh and we have to have our mutations cleared by him before we can use them.

It's pretty much as Ghrecki said Sigma, it's a self insert and we pretty much see how much trouble we can cause, it's also one of the rpg's where you don't need to read up on the backlog to find out past events so you don't need to feel put off by having to troll backwards.

And welcome to the Lair.

Kaiser Dragoon - May 29, 2007 10:51 PM (GMT)
Welcome :beers:

as for other RPG's, more are always being ocme up with, just that MG's is well, the longest lasting one we have.... this December it'll be 3 years.

BloodStorm - May 30, 2007 05:03 PM (GMT)
Mad guyvers is the most active currently.

Also 'semi' active is Legacy of whispers (I need to finish a plotpoint for it. it'll be up guys, I promise!) and the Baldur's Gate rpg.

Currently the baldur's gate rpg is moving at a snails pace.. we but still consider it active..

Same goes for the harry Potter rpgs...although I was promised a post fairly recently by a certain canadian member. In any case,I have posts in the work to kick new life into both HP and BG,even the Star Wars RPG may be awakening from its slumber. Plus there's the matter of something often discussed yet never seen the light of day as yet.

Nice.

And Blood, weren't you and Z also planningto get thunderball open again at some point?

Sigma - May 30, 2007 09:11 PM (GMT)
Wow, thats awsome. i have an rp idea myself. i call it Galactic War.

BloodStorm - May 30, 2007 10:25 PM (GMT)
If you have an rpg idea, by all means, go ahead and make a thread to discuss it in the rpg discussion area.

Your allowed as many ideas as you feel comfortable running.. so the only limits are the ones you give yourself.

Lets see what your made of.

Also.. if you want , you can request a one-on-one sparring match with one of the regulars for us to see how well you play.. then we can give you pointers on what needs improvement. It's been awhile since anyone requested one of those, but they're still available.

Sigma - May 30, 2007 10:27 PM (GMT)
Sure, i can do the sparring match .
