It seems like forever ago now, but a horrible mutation hit this small section of Pern, and altered the dragons that the Gold clutch mothers were producing, the first to hatch were the smaller, odder colours, and one day a deep red Queen was born from the egg gaurded so carefully by the queen Laurinth, the queen who hatched that day is the Senior Weyrwoman's dragon today -- Blood Kalinth of Cassandra. From then on, a rare assortment of colors graced this Weyr, and several Weyr's close by..nobody knows what infection crawled in..and out of the Weyrs so quickly..killing dragons and mutating their offspring, but life has resumed as normal..for now.

It's late in the 8th month, fall is just around the corner and on our little part of pern, the days are either scorching hot, or a little nippy.

Traces of the same disease that killed the origanal dragon colors has been found in a few other Weyrs in our area. Lets hope it doesn't come back this way.
A few female dragons in the Weyr are getting a little proddy, stay tuned for a flight or two.
