Sierra Todd - March 12, 2004 09:04 PM (GMT)
Please Advertise, so this communitty will grow. At 100 members we plan to open guilds. There arent enough members to do that now. Please advertise at sites you post at, and tell friends.
Thanks.

If u want more ppl to come here, u need to refix ur site. Currently the gold/buying thing makes this site rather rigid in rules. Try to relax a bit on the FE theology and improve this forum. And of course u need a site, and I mean a proper site for this forum. Unless u already have one, it's a good time to make one up. Use asp host, though it might be a tad laggy.

I agree with the gold thing. I have some ideas of reforming it. At the current moment, this site isnt going to move to another server.

When I tried to get some of my karate friends involved with FERPG, they began seeing it as more of a social site where people just talk. Perhaps there is a way to make the fighting more realistic? I dont know how, but have you ever heard of Runescape? Aparently it is a large rpg where you can walk around, buy stuff, fight, do quests, and other talk with friends. I am not saying that RS is better, but I am saying that perhaps You or guy or LLiger could contact Jagex (maker of Runescape) and ask how we could make the fighting seem more realistic.

Good idea but the server might not be able to support it. And it would make the point of a forum almost pointless. And if we follow your suggestion, why not just play an online game instead and chat there?
So if we managed to get Runescape up, how can we rig the program to use gold for our purposes, such as buying weapons. etc
I noe you can buy weapons in Runescape but how can it be linked to FE? This forum is 'bout FE........Rite?
Anyway it's just my idea..
If these problems could be fixed, great.

Well simply we can change the names of the things. I mean I do understand the problems, but they do not sound hard to alter. For the thing about forums being pointless...Forums could be used to give helpful imformataion. If you guys decide to do the RS idea, the only forums that would be lost would be the Battlegrounds, tavern, and arena and arena challenges (I think). About the server space...I dont know much about that.

Um... on the runescape... no. If there are too many users on it (which I doubt, no offense, but still...), it gets laggy and hard to play. That's because of my experience. So I don't think using that would work too well. Besides, I like the old typing thingy!

This a social site, and a rp site. It all depends on what you want to do, chat or rp. When the site was made it was geared towards rping only, but it is hard to have a rp site with a social section. If you want the rps to be more realistic... that is based on writing quality. As I mentioned in the FAQ, you can either rp or chat or do both. Up to you.
By improve your writing quality, rps become more interesting. If you a really, really want a realistic rpg, then go buy a online game for the PC. Those are realistic. Star War galaxies, etc. But you have pay for the realism. Here you do not.
Personally I have never heard of Runescape. But you must remember there must be hundreds of members there, while we only have 60. With more members, guilds come into play, bigger better rps and the list goes on.
This is still a new site, only created about 4 months ago. You have to remember that in order to convert this to Runescape, it would take a lot of time fromthe admins, and we dont have that kind of time.
Thats why, this site can't become more like runsecape. Sorry Neil.

Ok. It was just that I am, and I am sure that several other people, are more of a visual kind of person. However, I agree that it would take a long time to do it any way, especially with no funds and a low member count. But maybe someday...

Maybe one day with more members and more resources.

*BUMP*
Again we need more people. Even 10 more would be helpful.
