My choice would have to be the Gold Chocobo. I found using one of them very fun, as you can go anywhere with them. So, this also meant you could go to the places where the Highwind couldn't go. Just my absolute favorite way of getting around Gaia.......despite the fact you can't breed one for a very long time. XP

i agree with that, the golden chocobo is the best but the highwind is a close second for me.

Well, the Highwind's got speed. It can take you almost anywhere; it's just got to have a grassy landing. A Gold Chocobo could go anywhere, park anywhere, and stay there. It just seemed like the best.

The buggy's good as far as fast travel, and getting experience on the way, considering that while you travel in the buggy, you still get into random encounters.

The Snowboard and the Hardy Daytona are later mini games in the arcade at the Gold Saucer, but they still can be counted as transportation, as they were used for it at some point.

Hm ye the gold chocobo was pretty damn good but i would say highwind still. Its much faster. But ye the Gold Chocobo would take you to the Round Island where as the highwind couldnt.

Also the gold chocobo is a challenge in itself, the breeding is fun if u do it right. On the other hand it can be a pain in the ass lol.

Oh, it is. And it takes some serious time. I remember when I was still trying to breed my first one. It took FOREVER. 'Cause you first have to get the right nuts, breed a River (Blue) and a Mountain (Green) Chocobo, breed them to get a Black (River+Mountain) Chocobo, and breed that with a Good/Great Chocobo. Now, I don't know about you guys, but that really irritated the crap out of me. >.>

Lol yep i know what you mean. It does take ages that.
You can also get one by defeating the Emerald Weapon. The item you get can be exchanged with the old dude on Kalm for a gold Chocobo.

I know, I know. But by the time you are actually able to kill Emerald Weapon, you would probably already have a Gold Chocobo, amirite? I mean, if you're gonna face Emerald, you're gonna want the KOTR materia, and you can only get that from a Gold Chocobo...

Ah tru tru but i whupped him with Omnislash and Mime and had the phoenix summon with final attack. There was no way i could lose. Kicked his ass. :P

Wait, can others Mime a character's limit? Like, Yuffie mime Omnislash? o.o

For me Cid could mime Ominislash and someone else...I think it was Yuffie you know. Im not sure. Or did i just have Cid and Cloud in that battle..hm i forget..five years is a long time. lol.
But ye i just used Mime and Omnislash all the way. It worked for me but i wouldnt reccomend it though.
KoTR with the double spell materia or whatever its called and mime is way more effective.

I read that mime is more compatible with Yuffie, so i should work better with her.
