Best? Hmmmm.... I guess lots of people dig the romance in it. It DOES have more romantic cutscenes than any of the FFs, I think :unsure:

I think they think that because their the first FF games. I guess they consider them "originals".

anyway they are the classics (and therefor considered the best by some people) couse the first 2 FF were more or less forgotten by most people, 3and 4 were ignored couse they were a bit plain and 5 and 6 are the classics for multiple reasons. First the story which just wasn't OMG letz save teh world from the evilz , it was more complex and the characters were actually talking to each other making friendships and having there own romances. 2nd the huge number of jobs and a good battle system, good looking enemies and great summons, so to be short, the gameplay and graphics were amazing for the time when they came out and 3rd those two were the most recent to come out before the legendary 7 and people of course wanted to find out what were the FF before Cloud, Tifa, Aerith/Aeris and the rest and FF 5 and 6 were the easiest to get....

A pretty good one! I bought FF Origins (1,2) Chronicles (4) Anthology (5,6) cos I wanted to know what was before...7

I don't. FFX is the best to me :P

But, I haven't played enough of 5 or 6 really to compare them =/

Well ya the story was more rommantic. Also they are the first so some people feel like they have to love them because they are first!

6 is nearly the best, cause it has the crazy ass Kefka, and 5 had all the different abilities and such
