Title: Super Child

Let's hit the taboos.

Let's have children made in test tubes. Pay few genetic engineer to fix his affililation to cancer, diseases, increase his inborn inteligence, look, correct some flaws - add this and that and create a perfect human being.

Now imagine a world in which all children are produced that way - normal child-making is out of question because it has too many flaws - childbirth, diseases, 9 months in the womb - who would want to go through all that ? Not only that, how would you genetically improve such kid and kill his afillilation to sicknesses ?

So we have super special people and apparently some people who still were made normally, like nature asked us. So what we do with such half-wits ? Kick them out, make them cleaners or man servants.

..so...how do you like such world ?

The idea is based on a movie and book the title I won't reveal now.

From biologies point of view that the final step of evolution. And the world where i would not want to live in. Its no good when everyone is the same.

If I remember correctly, evolution will never create the state when everyone is the same - it's actually against evolutions as it prefers unique and variable skills.

Thats just human interpretation of evolution, nothing more. The goal of every species is to survive, as long as that is done all ways are good. Even if everyone is the same. Heck, there are species of plants that have no sexual reproduction, and reproduce only asexually - by cloning themselves. Rate of mutations in such cases is very low, combination of genomic material - zero. Yet, they live because it is successful.

Is it from the movie Gattaca? Because they have sort of the same thing happening in there.

I personally think that is will be cool and by hand picking the genes in a person we can eliminate the rather unpleasant genes out of the gene pool of humanity. If it works to help people not suffer anymore than great!

Super children? I'm for it.

Layed in short facts;

- Problem of will they be conceived
- 9 months in a womb
- Years of learning how to walk (a gazelle takes an 30 min-an hour to learn how to walk)
- Years afterwards to learn how to speak
- Only special defense they hold is a valve to keep the water out.
- Weak immune system
- Very, VERY slowly developing bodies
- ...
- ...

And the list goes on. If there was ever a time for evolution it's now.

Evolution... if you genetically engineer humans... to be perfect. Would it not slow to a crawl? Or stop altogether? Maybe... maybe not... But, I think this likely.

The quest for perfection...

And who knows what extra changes those in control will make... Could either be a doctor doing it alone, secret medical research and even the government trying to manipulate things for war...

Like, the 'perfect' soldier...

What can be done to your would-be children? Behind your backs?
How many 'unregistered' kids will be born and raised secretly... for whatever purpose that comes to mind.

Imagine. (I've watched too many sci-fi-ish B movies...)
