Post here to Critisize my work. Make fun of it, mock it, tell me how much you hate it, etc. Same can be applied for me. All in all this is where you write stuff to me about anything you wish to write to me about. Questions, Critisims, a place to get your post counts up, anything really.
Welcome and enjoy!!
Thanks for the help Bluedragon77. I'm going to pin the letters of this thread, keep your one shot alive ya. :)
Back to my praises. I like the style, grammar and plot. I'm sure you've double-checked it many times before posting to make it near zero grammatical errors. Plot-wise, I think it's average (3 stars out of 5 stars). Since every story is a one-shot, there's bound to be limitations; length-wise and character development-wise.
However, character-wise, I find the characters behaving rather unnaturally at times. For example, in the 2nd story, the leader is rather child-like. The various Claymores all take on a playful side that was never seen before. It's also hard to imagine them resting around when they're suppose to take on an awakened being (story 1). Also, I find it a little unconvincing to have a childish character as a leader as I doubt that the organization will let someone like her to become one. The organization actually has flexibility when it comes to leadership as rank doesn't really matter. For example, Clarice is rank 47 and Miata is rank 4 but the leader of the team is Clarice. Hence, sometimes, rank isn't really everything.
In story 3, I do get an idea of Siegfried's actions and character but I get the feel that there's a deliberate attempt to distant Siegfried from the reader (me). As the story seems to be told from the POV of the female victim, what I learn of Siegfried is what she knows and from what the others said. Hence, I find this style rather unique. (:
The stories are One-Shot, hence, I expect it to have an appropriate ending of sort. For story 1 and 3, there's some closure. For story 2, I get the feeling that the story might be continuing somehow; seems like they're going to be ambushed but suddenly the story ends. "Bumper" is what I feel.
I've enjoyed reading the one-shot and look forward to move. Will you be doing an episodic anytime soon? (:
Thank you for the kind review! It is very much appreciated.
I am working on a multi-chapter story centered around Siegfried's induction into the Organization.
I would also like someone to help me beta read it when the time comes. Any takers?
