Hynavian - April 30, 2008 07:15 PM (GMT)
For those who can read Chinese, here's a scanlated (Chinese version) of chapter 79.

http://tieba.baidu.com/f?kz=367022205

I read it, it's news breaking. :)

Kolox - April 30, 2008 08:00 PM (GMT)
I somehow got distracted with Fate Stay Night pictures at very bottom of this page..

..but more I think about it..I don't like the new suit.

Reinard-fox - April 30, 2008 08:16 PM (GMT)
What an evil ting to do, Hyn! You awakened so many bad things inside me, I don't even know enough english words to name all of them. But i will not lose. I will hold myself together, I will not watch in this evil pictures. I'll wait for a translation like a good kid.

SilentBuddhist - May 1, 2008 02:50 PM (GMT)
Like I said in a different forum. Ever since those kids in OM started posting Gantz spoilers and chatting like hell about them, I've been holding off on spoilers in general. That's why I'm not posting in the OM discussion threads, it's spoiler season. :D

kenjmg - May 1, 2008 03:51 PM (GMT)
Well now all that left is to wait for some one to come out with the translation and then produce a scanlated version of the chapter. Thanks for the spoiler Hyn. /thanks

Bluedragon77 - May 1, 2008 05:00 PM (GMT)
Thank you for the spoilers. Now if I can only read chinese...

Hynavian - May 1, 2008 06:33 PM (GMT)
No problem guys, now to wait patiently for the scanlated version. :)

SilentBuddhist - May 4, 2008 02:08 AM (GMT)
http://forum.onemanga.com/showpost.php?p=512596&postcount=59

Credits to Chibitea for translating the chapter, now to wait for the scanlated version. Wow though, from what I've read it's pretty cool. Just read it and find out what I'm talking about.

Or lol, am I a bit late to bring in the news?

kenjmg - May 4, 2008 04:54 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the scanlation Silent. /thanks

SilentBuddhist - May 4, 2008 07:52 PM (GMT)
The scanlation is now out! /e2

Credits to FrankyHouse for the scanlation. Now then, YAY! MOAR CLAYMORE!!

Miria - May 4, 2008 09:36 PM (GMT)
Well well it looks like my hypothesis was right afterall in regards to the Organization being the ones creating Yoma. But I never thought there would be such a interesting turn of events. This was a good chapter I'll be able to make further predictions and correct the earlier misassumptions I had on the Organization.

Elcura - May 4, 2008 10:11 PM (GMT)
yeah, I think from what Teresa said in volume 4 was kind of a big hint. It was always suspect from then. But I'm really interested in this other continent and the 'dragon kin', man this chapter owned.

Miria - May 4, 2008 10:23 PM (GMT)
Well this gives further supporting evidence that could spell out why the Organization decided to kill off Teresa. She just knew too much for her own good and was becoming a dangerous element. Taking on Clare was a minor excuse but it provided enough to work something solid with Teresa to lead her into her own execution. Isley and the hoods may not actually from this lands but infact the other lands lol. It's a real pity I can't simply walk into the world and interview them lol. xDDD

But this is really interesting though. It means after all that they don't really give a two cents to what will happen in a yoma outbreak or when Isley and Priscilla just kill off all the humans living on the lands. So the true purpose of creating Alicia is not necessarily to kill off Riful and Isley but to send her away to the other lands? But it makes sense how they're constantly trying to develop stronger soldiers each time. If I were Rimuto would I think to send Alicia to war with the other Abyssals? Is she dispensible? lol

It also gets you wondering though. If the other side had dragon kin on their side, how is it possible Rubel's army holding them off? Even with the use of weaponry lol.

Speaking of Rubel, knowing what we've seen on this chapter I might re-evaluate their kind altogether. I'm half hearted about my decision on what they are now. They can either be awakened beings themselves especially practiced in hiding their yoki like a normal human being or they could be neither and something else entirely a new breed of unaging men altogether lol.

I have a hunch at what Riful wanted to know with Galatea in her possession. Though it might be a little far fetched even now with chapter 79 lol...

Rakshasha - May 5, 2008 07:13 AM (GMT)
True it is a very interesting chapter...and I do agree with you on the Teresa part, but the whole chapter seems somehow rushed...oh well.

But what does that controled village in the north (south) west, have anything to do with the Organization? Perhaps a controled test?

Dammit, why can't Claymore be a weekly manga?! Screw Naruto and Bleach, Shonen's
Weekly jump might still be up and running if they had Claymore in it...

The suspension is killing me... :(

yuya262 - May 5, 2008 11:19 PM (GMT)
woah this chapter makes me feel like the ending is even further away!
what an interesting theory Miria came up with.
but I have a little question though: if the world is a laboratory for the awakened beings, why does the organization keeps letting Claymores kill those AB, instead of shipping them to elsewhere? Why do they keep Agatha especially, because she's not the strongest, but she could be used as a powerful weapon since she's pretty strong.
oh does anybody notice the aging of the members of the organization? Do they ever age? I wanna know but I haven't the time to re-read the whole series XD

Miria - May 5, 2008 11:48 PM (GMT)
My original theory was that the handlers themselves were Awakened Beings who hid their yoki well either by years of practice or by eating the yoki suppressent pill a day. But after the latest chapter I beg to differ. It's true that they don't age at all. Looking at Rubel from Raphaela's time through Clare's time he hasn't aged a bit. It's highly likely they're not humans at all. Should the Mangaka wished to bring in more new elements I would bet my money on a third lifeform that isn't shown at all yet. But somehow I kind of doubt that to be honest. My guess is, if they're not awakened beings theres already two possible answers to who they are. Either a male Claymore themselves which isn't as much likely as the next guess considering Claymores stop aging at the prime of their youth according to Quicksword Ilena. So my assumptions lead me to believe they're Yomas under suppresent pills. It still fits in with my earlier logic and perhaps a bit more. They buy children from slave traders, some make it other don't, those that don't become lunch and they have enough money to supply themselves with adult slaves to munch on. Now if I heard right from memory yomas only need to feed once a week or once every two weeks. If they're yoma I think its possible they buy their meat farm than actively go out there and hunt them.

As for the awakened beings thats out there. It's really to them a target practice for their new generation of Claymores. I think their project is to build a human warrior that was meant to act like Clare in some ways. Fully or Almost fully awaken and posses the power of awakened beings while not losing their humanity. If they succeeded in making such a creature I'm sure they'd want her back for re-examination and possibly cloning. Or who knows they can copy the same traits into another human hosts to make a army of them. Only real problem standing on their way was Abyssal Ones who had powers that can simply wipe them off the map clean. Their recent product Alicia and Beth is the prototype they'll set loose on Isley and Riful. Should it be a success I'm pretty sure that concludes their experiment unless they need a creature that can surpass Alicia in their neverending battlefield.

One reason why Riful may have wanted a girl who is good at yoki perception could be that she wanted to confirm Miria's theory and perhaps track down the others of her kind whom Miria referred to as Dragon Kins. While I don't think she's the type who wants to ally with anyone other than herself, it could be a sure way of being a pain in the ass for both Priscilla and Organization if she allied with the Dragon Kin. From the sounds of it there must have been quite a number of them. It's a little too farfetched to call it a theory, rather a food for thoughts. I still think Riful isn't the type to do this though =P

Also you should note that if a regular Claymore warrior can kill a Awakened Being of former rank 2 thats more than their reason for continue producing warriors while letting the awakened beings walk around. I'm sure Teresa was just the right candidate they had their hopes on. A human in appearance and nature, demon in pure strength that surpass monsters. It's hard to match Teresa.

yuya262 - May 6, 2008 02:12 AM (GMT)
If I've understood you right, you are saying that it is more likely for the org. members to be yoma than male Claymores.
but saying that proving that there is a HUGE intelligence different from them and the other yomas walking around. Are all the yomas smart like them, and they intentionally "stupidize" their own kinds? I think that's not really likely to happen. Through the whole series, I don't recall any yoma that for one moment, completely conscious of what they're doing, or actually came up with a pretty good plan for dealing with a Claymore.
Plus Teresa is an extremely yoki-sensitive Claymore. How could she not have the feeling like they have an itsy bitsy amount of yoki around them? And Galatea also.
When the black-man met Raphaela, I believed that he said something like he couldn't sense yoki, but my initiation works well. Or could it be that they use something like "super-pills"? It wouldn't make sense since no matter how much they suppress the yoki, it's still in them, somewhere, b/c I'm pretty sure they can't make nothing out of something, thus the fact that they're 100% yoma.

Bluedragon77 - May 6, 2008 04:27 AM (GMT)
I was wondering a lot about what Rubel said about girls going east and boys going north. Could it be that the girls are turned into claymores and the boys are turned into yomas? This would explain why all the yomas seem to be male. That would probably explain why we haven't come across any female yomas. This chapter is very interesting. I can't wait for more!

Kolox - May 6, 2008 04:56 AM (GMT)
Honestely ? I was not impressed.

Well now...I remember that one (I'm not that old...), but in the translations I've read Claire reffered to the yoma as a 'he'. Who says yomas can't be crossdressers? You have something against that?

Well *poke* You *poke* have *poke* something *poke* against *poke* crossdressing *poke* ? *poke*

I'd bite you if I could...Raor!!!! *CHOMP*

*fwaps*

Poke in Chat box...discuss sexy heartless bitches here.

Back on Topic;

So, it was speculated somewhere else, that Clarice would in fact, ask the Ghost 7 to join them on their quest.
Clarice did in fact (oh, naive was I to believe otherwise), that she dropped to her knees and told G7 that she can't report them. Miata stood there like a confused clown, and said nothing but hung on tightly to Mammas' boobs.

Miria actually offered her to stick around with them, but didn't offer the same thing to Galatea. Maybe one to many brains in the team is unwanted right now?
But, what surprised me, was the offer itself. The facts layed out, were more then understandable, considering the unveiling situation at hand (the evil master plan).
I understand Miata's more then deadly power, but Clarice?
I hope Yagi-senpai isn't going to reveal some hidden power of hers; Then again we never really saw any of Clarice's power, apart the Super-Whine Youki release.

She is though, very handy when it comes to saying 'Miata spit that out, it's not edible!'
But, this is all that I can think of as her use...still...

Chapter 80, come quickly.

Miria - May 6, 2008 07:58 PM (GMT)
Clarice acts as the guardian to Miata. Otherwise theres no1 to keep her in line lest she goes insane and kills anything in sight.

Bluedragon77 - May 6, 2008 09:59 PM (GMT)
They are going to be staying in the city for a while anyway, as mentioned by Miria. So the question about Clarice joining and Galatea not joining doesn't really matter for the time being.

Won't the organization have their current 'eye' watch Clarice and Miata just incase they should fail so they will know where to send the next batch of 'trackers'? This just a thought but that means the next 'assassin' squad may consist of stronger warriors. So they may see the current #3 again! This is speculation of course.

Also before I forget, Miata seems to act pretty damn normal in the recent chapters. She doesn't act like a psycho anymore and seems to have a firm grasp of her sanity. From her recent 'observations' of the 7 warriors, she gave her opinions of the group and seemed to act normal, no blood shed, no crying, no "Mommy!", or anything to indicate she was the same Miata not too long ago who destroyed anything with yoki (Clarice is the exception.)

@Rakshasha: Whose the sexy heartless bitch? Do I know her?

Rabbit - May 12, 2008 12:13 PM (GMT)
Its only been one or two chapters since we last saw Miata do anything really. After she gets brutally beaten by Agatha the Magnificent Seven then show up and save the day so it's not that she's any less stable than she has been. As far as I can tell Clarice is the only one that is keeping her in check, though I wonder what would happen if she died. Seeing as how she is Miata's raison d'etre I would personally look forward to her awakening and having other people be forced to kill her in a suitably dramatic way.

I don't hate Clarice or Miata but...I don't know, I never really understood their purpose in the story. I guess I should trust that there's still a part for them to play otherwise they wouldn't still be alive.

Rakshasha - May 12, 2008 05:42 PM (GMT)
Well unless Miria sudenlly developed a very, very soft and squishy side to her, I doubt she let them join for the sake of "...the Organization may come for you..."

The Org. may come for all seven of them, but still each and every one of them has a role...even Yuma.
Maybe Clarice and Yuma will do something useful at some point....you never know.
