Title: Black Cards Part 1
Miria - April 29, 2008 10:14 PM (GMT)
Crimson sunlight shined down on the lone warrior, her long tress of silky hair blowing gently in the warm winds. From her current destination she can hear birds chirpping, sweet melody of her countrymen's folk music played beneathe the canyons to celebrate the monthly feast. The people danced around the fire, enjoyed their banquet reminding her of the time when she was among them, as a human girl. How did it come to this she wondered. The lands she stood on was barren to say the least, only the hard red rock face covered the area leaving very little vegetation growing on such high altitudes. The very air would have felt heavy had she been a claymore and the same applied for the rookies that came for her head. She sensed them, 2? or was it 3? It wasn't a common practice for the Organization to send more than one of their ranks to dispose of the Black Card, unless ofcourse the one who came to die resisted and killed her executioner like she has. Beside her lay a grave with only a Claymore for her comrade's tombstone and she stood there waiting for her next executioners to arrive. It was much more difficult than she had originally thought, the act of dying. Why did she cling onto her life so dearly? When it was blatantly clear that she had awakened? It took every ounce of her concentration from letting the demon out of her skin. At the very least she wanted to die looking like a warrior less than a demon. With her own armor now long gone she had no other choice but to borrow her executioner's which luckily for her was a good fit. Now to wait for her next set of executioners to arrive... She waited patiently to greet her death.

OOC: Expressing interest, I'm pretty tired right now so I'mma just make a vague post for today and get back to my duties (dooties, teehee) tomorrow.
Kaiserin
It was a rare occasion to be chosen for an execution squad. Kaiserin often thought that there were warriors better suited to the task, but who was she to complain? She did voice her dissatisfaction but never was a warrior's comforts taken into consideration. This was apparent when looking at some of the single digits. Kaiserin labouriously walked along the rocky path, her feet dragged heavily with her sabatons scrapping across the floor kicking loose stones about.
Kaiserin wasn't sure about the strength of the warrior she had to execute, she didn't remember the Organisation telling her anything, which wasn't uncommon. Even more so for Kaiserin for if they did say something of importance chances are Kaiserin wasn't listening.
Kaiserin turned around to see if her comrades were behind her...

.:: Roxanne ::.
This mission…had it been so wise to send her? She had yet to receive her rank, let alone know if she was capable of fighting what they called an awakened being. Even as she walked to her destination she couldn’t help but think this over. Even with the help of others being called upon, why did they choose her as well? That very same question repeated itself through her head throughout the walk, almost overwhelming the trudging pace she took as she walked through the path. The mission itself was vague to Roxanne and hence questions were popping up in her head. All she knew was that she was to take part in the execution of another warrior…which by no means sounded pleasant. But somehow, she knew it wasn’t going to be. As would none of the other missions that would take place in the future…that was how the so-called Claymores were.
Regardless of why she was sent here, what’s done was done, and there was no turning back. It would have been ridiculous but for now, she could barely do anything about it. She didn’t want to find out how things would work out if she turned down the offer, so she quietly abided by it. Roxanne kept her pace steady even when the path was getting to be more and more tiresome by the minute, the only visible signs becoming the sweat dripping down her face. Her own uneasiness stayed bottled inside rather well, simply because it would have left a bad impression to her comrades and wouldn’t change a thing. Of course, for her first mission, this was rather…interesting. She only hoped she had what it took to come out alive. All she had to do was trust in her own abilities to survive this thing. Roxanne felt a pair of eyes come around in her direction and instinctively she looked up at the warrior ahead of her. And instinctively she gave a weak, almost invisible smile to the warrior, not knowing what an appropriate action would be at that moment. Of course, Roxanne felt a little stupid about smiling at a time like this, but it was the first thing that came to her mind as how to respond. It was probably to reassure herself if anything though, because no matter what she found it hard to wipe away her tension. Though of course, she set her expression back to normal in a split second and kept up her regular pace. She could let loose her tension once thye got where they were supposed to go.
EDIT: Saw some grammar errors...

.:Siegfried:.
An order had been given for the elimination of a Black Card. Those who are approaching their limit and know this but wish to die as a human will send a Black Card out. This was the system with which each and every warrior lives by. Why the heck would he be called for the job? He made sure to not get close to anyone for that specific purpose of never having to execute a comrade. When the time comes will he be able to draw his weapon at a comrade? Will he be able to strike them down?
Siegfried quietly walked towards his destination. He noticed a few people already in the distance but paid them no mind as he wasn't even close enough to distinguish who it was. Siegfried looked down at the ground and begn to think of all the times he had been working with the others. He thought the time when he raised his sword along side his comrades, all the time he raised it to protect them, to fight for them, to kill for them. Now he was asked, no told to do the very thing he never would ever dream of doing, raise his sword against them.
Slowly walking with no sound other than the occasionl ruffle of his cape or the clang of metal as his armor hit each other. He did not speak, he did not smile, he didn't even raise his head to acknowledge his teammates. He just gathered to where they were waiting and stood there as still as a statue. only indication he was alive was the slight movement of his chest going up and down. He paid nobody any mind and just stood there with a frown on his face and eyes staring blankly at the ground.

.:Awakened One:.
Upon noticing there was yoki moving around her area she quietly listened and concentrated carefully to distinguish how many were coming for her head. It was always her biggest flaw when it came to weak yoki perception and no matter how much effort was put into improving the area of expertise it just came easier for some than others in her views. Afterall each and every warriors were specialised in their own way and what she lacked in yoki perception she made up for it with greater physical attributes and physical manipulation of yoki. The rays of sunlight became darker and ever so crimson as the sun glimpsed at the fallen warrior now ready for death. She was certain of it, one of the stronger ones in the hit squad accompanied by subordinates of relative strength would over power her as long as she held the monstrosity screaming to get out. Already nothing had made sense to her from beginning of her new life. What was she? was she awakened? or was she not? She shared the same evil scent as the Awakened Ones yet where was her hunger for flesh of humans? The confusion did not stop there, despite sending the Black Card why had she killed a friend? Why was she so intent on continuing her miserable cursed existence when a part of her wished death? Nothing made sense, and despite this confusion in her heart she agreed on one final wish.
"I want to die as a warrior in battle."
Behind her was a wonderful view of canyons and skies painted bright pinkish red as if to signify there will be blood spilt this very evening. Only the dying sun bore witness to the battle ahead. Had it all been possible, she wished her death would come before the sun vanished from the far corners of the world where her eyes can see. This was her life, her passion and fight. To die a honorable death in battle. She burst open releasing yoki from her entire being as if to welcome her visitors to battle. She already noticed the three distant figures with her sight alone.
"Welcome" she said and lunged towards them, sword held close and form almost a perfect dart with minimal useless movements.

Kaiserin
As Kaiserin turned her head she saw the face of a rookie, who seemed flustered that someone had looked at her, giving an awkward smile for a few seconds she realized her actions and put back up her wall. Kaiserin giggled as she turned around and walked towards the destination with a huge grin of her face.
Eventually she coming into view of the target she dejectedly placed her right hand on the handle of her claymore, but before pulling it out of it's sheath, the target released her Yoki in a large burst.
"Darn... she's definitely awakened by now..."
Kaiserin did not have much time to ponder what course of action to take, she didn't even know what her team was capable off (at least the woman, she forgot to check who the other member was, or even if there were more than just the two of them). She saw the target charge at them with her sword drawn,
"Crap! Scatter!" Kaiserin shouted. She would jump to the left so that the target would be on her right hand side, in which she could deflect any strikes with more precision and ease. But getting hurt was the least of her worries, she wondered what her comrades would do in this situation and whether they would be alright. From that line of thought, Kaiserin decided if the target ran past her she would follow behind and attack from the back if a comrade was in danger.

.:: Roxanne ::.
That giggle the warrior made turned Roxanne’s anxiety into embarrassment, but at least she found something else to fret about for the moment. Quietly she kept her head facing the red earth the warriors walked upon. Before her mind could wander back onto the warrior they were supposed to execute, Roxanne felt a large burst of yoki ahead of the team, and her head darted up in the direction it came from, the outline of a figure, most likely the other warrior, and it was rushing towards them.
The same warrior Roxanne smiled at was the first to act. "Crap! Scatter!" she shouted out. And once again, Roxanne nearly let her worries take over her actions, but now wasn’t the time; Roxanne quickly recovered and strafed back a fair amount and behind Kaiserin, and a little bit towards the left to keep the enemy to her right, and taking Kaiserin’s words into consideration, made sure there was about 10 meters between herself and her comrade. She would have used Pinwheel but she had no idea how powerful the target was; probably, assuming from that burst of yoki, fairly powerful, and it wasn’t worth the risk of attacking head on. Though if the enemy decided to target Roxanne she’d do what she could to block any attacks and makes sure that the enemy was to be attacked from behind, or preferably both sides if Roxanne ever found an opening.

.:Siegfried:.
Silence was Siegfried's greeting to the others gathered. So deep in his own thought that he missed out on the warning and only managed to catch the burst of yoki heading his way. Siegfried looked up at the sound of someone shouting something. The sight of a someone coming at them very quickly was the only thing to meet his feild of vision. He didn't move a muscle and continued to stare at the warrior coming towards him. His heart was empy but something was bubbling just under the shadows of his heart. He could not tell what it was but it was quickly gaining precedence over his empty heart and was threatening to burst forth.
Siegfried stood silently watching the target come forth with speed which was nearly impossible for him to match. Closer and closer she came. The distinct physical features of a female warrior was heading towards him. Her blonde hair drifted behind her as if trying but failing to catch up with the rest of her body so was resigned to just trail behind her. She wore armor like him and bore a sword just like him. She was in some sense just like him. Both lost everything to yomas, both had suffered immeasurble amounts of pain, both became the protectors of mankind, and most of all both belonged to one family.
His heart was trying desperately to hold back an emotion he knew all too well. It gave him the drive to achieve greatness. It gave him the strength to fight on despite the condition he was in. It made his enemies tremble before him. It was also the single most destructive thing about him. It was rage. Unadulterated anger. Why he was angry he doesn't quite understand himself. Perhaps it was at the organization for sending him to do this. Maybe it was at the target herself for making him do this. Or it could be at himself for what he was going to have to do.
Right hand shot from his crossed arms to the handle of his sword. Legs launched him forward. Eyes glared angrily at the woman before him. Left hand shortly joined the right in gripping the handle of his claymore. Before he could even grasp what he was doing he was dashing towards the woman. Sword raised bove his right shoulder and aimed for a downward cut aimed and timed for the individual heading his way. Yoki gathered into his body to increase his speed. Power coursed through his entire being and left his eyes burning gold with unbridled rage. He will not forgive the organization for ordering him to do this. He will not forgive the woman before him for making do this. Most of all he will not forgive himself for doing this.

Two scattered as instructed by the commander while the warrior who hadn't paid much attention to the warnings dashed forward head strong without seeing things for what they were before him. He was in a way similar like her as in that he was weak on yoki perception to fully understand what was going to happen unlike Kaiserin who noticed and backed out much sooner on her part. Clearly he was still an amateur by far and she would take pleasure in carving him up.
He was a towering figure compared to the lean build of a woman, a hulking figure with heavy plate armor hanging close to his skin as the Claymore was raised above his shoulder and promptly brought down with a powerful stroke. The boy had skills in effectively moving the yoki from one area of the body to others when needed most or to slightly boost up his normal stats in his best convenience. With more experience perhaps he could pull it off, for now she laughed at the attempt and met his challenge head on. Her long silky black hair danced wildly chasing after her as she raised her own claymore to parry the blow. It was for no longer than a instant, the moment just before the two piece of steel clashed and screamed she released what she had been holding back on, a surge of power rushed into the arm and the steels clashed! Her very being slammed hard into the ground but her form did not falter as if to transfer the savage blow through her body and into the ground itself. It was simple to say than physically perform, by meeting the blow head on she deflected Siegfried's blow and added the forces without losing momentum similar in ways how a ball when passed through kicking doesnt lose speed or momentum if timed right, bringing it back before gently pushing it with extra force to add interests. Siegfried's claymore shot out of his hand, bare handed and vulnerable to attacks the woman gave no quarters for the fool who failed to listen.
"You're ignorance and pride was your downfall."
Her left fist curled into a ball and as she launched it with frightening accuracy something had changed... Much like in the similar manner of her parry, Kaiserin felt the rush of yoki transferring into the left arm just before her punch connected with Siegfried's right shoulder. For a brief second the commander of the team could have sworn she watched the arm morph into a grotesque monstrosity before it ripped apart Siegfried with no mercy. It happened fast and as the arm came to a stationary halt it was seen as human again with only the fabric of the garment that was once there ripped to shred. Siegfried's body crashed hard against the solid rockface, somehow alive but now with a broken bones from his right shoulders to the base of his hand and possibly with the arm out of its sockets.
"So... whose next?"

.:: Roxanne ::.
She looked with an expression of awe at the enemy, who wasted no time pummeling down Siegfried and crushing his entire right arm. For such a large man to be broken down so quickly was incredible for Roxanne and the poor girl was nearly frozen with fear. She quickly noticed the torn sleeve of the target, indicating that for an instant the warrior became a monster…and such a thing terrified Roxanne even more. Had she been in the same position as the male warrior, Roxanne did not want to think of what would happen to her.
However, Roxanne refused to let her fear overwhelm her; blade unsheathed and the handle gripped tightly with both hands Roxanne stepped back another 4 meters away from the warrior and Kaiserin. While it would have looked like she was retreating, Roxanne pulled back such a distance in hopes of giving herself a little more time to react if the warrior decided to attack her, and more of a chance for Kaiserin to attack from behind. It was a simple plan, but for now, it would have to work. If she could, Roxanne would have to leap up high into the air and come back down spinning wildly towards the warrior as her way of fighting back, but this was considering Roxanne was her next victim.

Kaiserin
Kaiserin's fears had come to pass. Siegfried was put in his place, should he survive this mission it would serve as a good lesson. Should he not, it would serve as a lesson to those around. Kaiserin grimaced as if she were the one who got hit, her face scrunched up with anger. After Kaiserin had felt the target's power she became more weary, first thing was first. She had to get the target's attention. The target, who Kaiserin had dubbed 'Black' (due to her hair) seemed to want to focus on someone other than Siegfried, which was a good thing. Not wanting Black to attack anyone other than herself she dashed towards the target with her sword gripped tightly.
Kaiserin noted the area, there wasn't much to be used against the target, but there wasn't anything to be immediately concerned about. Still, there were a good deal of things that could be used, first and foremost were small rocks and boulders.
Along her path to Black she wanted to find a rock of suitable size, she would curl her foot underneath it, stopping her momentum for just a second while she lifted the rock carefully in her stride and kicked it towards Black. While this was going on she would approach low and attempt to slash the target's lower body with a horizontal swipe. She was prepared for a counter; the target should be distracted by the rock but ultimately realize Kaiserin's true intention. She just wanted Black to back up and put more space between her and Siegfried.
"Damn you, demon!" Kaiserin said softly as she carried out her plan. She hoped that Siegfried would be OK and that the woman would stay out of trouble.

.:Siegfried:.
'That...hurt. That hurt a lot. I'm not dead yet? Hm...God must have a sense of humor.' Siegfried thought as he shook his head to get the dizziness out. He sat at the base of the rock face and looked around. He could see the woman who just countered his attack with an attack of her own. As she was busying herself with the other two, he took the time to run a few mental dianostic on his injuries. He began to move certain parts and keeping mental check of each one. As he checked his injuries and the condition of his body he noted two major findings. Useless right arm and sore back.
Siegfried could feel the condition of his right arm. Moving slowly, he pushed himself up with his left arm and rose onto stiff legs. As not to aggravate his right arm or his sore back he moved very slowly with his right arm in mind at all times. Once he was up he began to concentrate his yoki on healing his right arm. First repair the bones than pop his shoulder back into place. That was the plan.
"...Right won't be doing that again...oh...my back." He whispered as he looked up at the woman who did this to him. He gave her a flat stare and began to move over to safer spot. He moved slowly as not to worsen the conditon of his right arm, and to look for his lost sword. Hopefully it didn't fly off the cliff. That would be very bad. The last thing he would want to do is fight her with only his fist. Though it was not too long ago he was ready to cut the woman in two with his claymore, he still believed a man should not strike a woman. Cutting her in half with a claymore was ok though. If he didn't find his sword soon, he may very well have to pull out of this sortie altogether. So with that in mind he doubled his efforts to look for his sword, but healing is his top priority so he continued to do that as well.

.:Black:.

She reverted her chaotic arm into the human form and instead decided to settle things with Kaiserin as a Claymore afterall. Holding out her long claymore now clutched in the arms of a devil who remembered nothing of the past only that this creature standing before her was a claymore like she had been, she brandished the sword before launching yet another assault in a attempt to pierce right through Kaiserin and her defence. Power gushed out of the demonic arm that reinforced the thrust of her sword intending to end Kaiserin's life. Kaiserin in the short time closed the gap and attempted a horizontal slash on her torso. A sense of protecting someone... perhaps it was just that which allowed Kaiserin to overpower her foe's killing intent to back away, tip toeing away from the swing out of instinct to survive.
