Personality - Warm-hearted and easy going, although her stubborn nature and hot temper can start frightening people away quickly. She has a very bloodthirsty side to her, but that rarely shows.

Special Skill

Bestial Howl --:> Madallaine developed this early on in her human days. Even as a child she had a powerful voice. Spending much of her time in a forest near her village, she quickly picked up on the different crys, and growls of the beasts residing there. By sending down small amounts of Yoki to her vocal cords, she can empower them enough to send forth a horrific howl that can be heard at a mile distance.
The howl is used to frighten away enemy's and empower the will of allies and aid their moral. The Howl can be used as a cry for help as well, as most Claymores mistake it for a Yoma scream, unless Madallaine's life is in such peril that she needs to divert all Yoki to vital support. The Howl is particularly useful against humans, due to the fear they already hold for Claymores.
Bestial Howl requires 10 % Yoki release.

Roar --:> By adding additional power to her vocal cords her howl turns into a terrifying roar. By using infra-sound, Madallaine can paralyze by fear all opponents (and allies) within a 3 foot radius. This skill puts far too much stress on her vocal cords to speak any further (much less shout or howl again). Until she learns how to lessen the strain on her vocal cords, Madallaine refuses to use this skill unless it's really necessary.
She's used this skill only once before.
Roar requires 35 % Yoki release. After hearing it, all humans that either managed to resist being paralyzed or have unparalyzed, run away terrified.

History - As all Claymore stories go this one isn't anything new, but for a few twists. The only family she had (her father) was taken away not by Yoma, but by marauders from a recent raiding party. The screams of the remaining villagers attracted a Yoma's attention and it came from the forest. The beast devoured the villagers pretty quickly, not waisting much time, before the poor souls could even notice it.

It happened on a Sunday evening. As the village was recovering from a recent raid, a few marauders came to take what was left in the village (cockroaches, an immortal ancient rat, 1/4 of the village chieftain and 10 villagers) They found nothing of use, but they had an idea;
Take all the underage girls remaining in the village. As they burned down the remaining few houses, the ogreish form of the Yoma came out slobbering and from the edge of the forest. It soon took care of the attackers making a short meal of them. It told the villagers they have exactly 10 seconds to start running in any direction they want to and as fast as they could. Not waiting for further instructions, Madallaine's father ran as fast as a man of his age could, while dragging a 10 year old with him. In the end they got separated. Night came, and it went away almost as quickly as it appeared. Madalleine spent it in a puddle to hide the sickening stench of blood and sweat. She retraced her steppes and found her father's body being devoured by the same hulking Yoma that told them to run. It turned and spoke to her, her father's blood still spilling from it's mouth mixing with drool, making a very disgusting site;

"Nicely done child...washing off all that grime from yourself...fortunately for you, I've had my fill for today. I hope we meet again little one. I REALLY want to taste your gut..."

With one final bloody grin the beast disappeared into the darkness of the forest. Madellaine didn't bother to go over to her father. What's done is done. She said a prayer to the Gods for his soul to rest in piece, and went back to the village. There she found one of the Men in Black.
The rest is common history.

Her primary distrust of males came from when she worked in her father's tavern. One day, a large brawler from another village which was a regular guest came in, and demanded drinks. For one Madalleine didn't like him because of the way he treated everyone in there, especially her father, and for the other because of the hungry look he was giving her. While sweeping, the brawler already being drunk (it happens after drinking a keg) got a bit aroused by the fact that the girl sweeping is a virgin and has a very nice ass.
The brawler, due to his drunken haze, forgot about Madallaine's fierce temper, and grabbed her by the rear. With a swift backwards motion, utilizing the brooms hilt, the man received the tip of the broom, which ironically had a metal tip because the wood was starting to crumble apart, right into the 'treasured area'. He toppled down and didn't move until the next morning.
Her distrust of the Organization hails for the same reason. It's run by males.

When she was imbued with the Yoma's flesh, Madalleine felt a release of burden, as if a weight was lifted from her. From childhood, she had a loving respect for nature and all her creations, as such her distrust and dislike for her own kind was soon turned into disgust after marauders struck her village.
If her own selfish desire to live didn't stop her, she'd be rampaging even now picking of humans as they passed.

Misc.

When tapped on the head one to many times, Madalleine has a tendency to loose it. Being so temperamental as she is, for her to loose control in a fight isn't unknown.
Useless release of Yoki, and constant howling isn't uncommon. If enraged enough she'll swing her sword at whatever is in her way be it Yoma, half-breed, human or Claymore.
